Abstract

Descriptive qualitative research with the case study method is a research approach used to gain an in-depth understanding of a particular phenomenon, event, or case in a real context. Researchers observe phenomena in their natural environment without manipulation. The research seeks to understand the perspectives and experiences of participants. Data are collected through interviews, observations, documents, or artifacts. Researchers describe the data in depth, providing an overview of emerging themes or patterns, such as: How adolescents in a particular community practice local languages in everyday conversation. The role of local culture in shaping adolescents' social identities at school. The influence of peer groups on the use of slang in social media.Today's teenagers often use sentences in language and culture that resemble foreign languages or are called "slang", in society in general teenagers communicate with peers in a language that is less understood by adults. This current civilization gives character to the next generation, negative impacts but the need for encouragement and motivation from parents in directing teenagers to better relationships. Interaction between teenagers in communities in Indonesia is rife with culture and everyday language, perhaps in an academic, research or social context it could be a finding that the language used by teenagers today leads to bullying. Teenagers play an important role in shaping and maintaining the dynamics of society. They participate in cultural practices, social activities, and local events, which often bridge tradition and modernity.

Abstract

Due to the importance of ethnoscience integration in the PjBL model, many studies have been conducted on this topic. To find out the development of research on this topic, a literature review is needed on the results of research that has been carried out. The purpose of this study is to find out the topics that are often studied in research related to ethnoscience projects in science learning, as well as the development of the research in question from 2015 to 2024. The research method used is descriptive research with a bibliometric approach. The data analyzed were 843 research articles that had been published in journals on Google Scholar data. Based on the literature review that has been carried out, it was found that many studies related to ethnoscience projects in Science Learning have been conducted since 2015 to 2024. In the early years, many studies were conducted through the reconstruction of indigenous knowledge in culture, in relation to the knowledge possessed by the community. More and more, research has begun to be conducted to seek learning through the integration of ethnoscience and PjBL to improve students' abilities, attitudes, and skills.

Abstract

The Independent Curriculum is a learning framework designed to provide teachers with the flexibility to design the teaching and learning process based on students' needs, interests, and potential. The independent curriculum is an independent program that emphasizes context-based learning, character building through the Pancasila Student Profile, and a differentiation approach that allows students to learn at a pace and method that suits their abilities. Through an adaptive and flexible approach, the Independent Curriculum aims to create a more relevant, meaningful, and contextual learning experience for students. Fractions are one of the important materials in basic mathematics because they provide a foundation for understanding more complex concepts such as decimals, percentages, and algebra. In the independent curriculum, this separate material aims to improve conceptual understanding, critical thinking skills, and application skills through a context-based approach and strengthen the Pancasila student profile. This article analyzes the implementation of the Independent program in distributed learning in elementary schools, including planning, implementing, and assessing learning. The results of the analysis show that the independent curriculum provides teachers with the flexibility to develop innovative learning strategies, such as Real-World Mathematics (RME) and project-based learning, so that students can connect fractions to everyday situations. However, the challenge is the lack of teacher understanding of the new approach and limited learning resources are still obstacles in its implementation. This article recommends teacher training and the development of contextual learning materials to support the successful implementation of the Merdeka Curriculum in fraction learning.

Abstract

Sustainability has become an increasingly important global issue in education, especially in the context of chemistry education for the 21st Century. Chemistry learning that focuses on sustainability aims to increase students' knowledge of environmental issues and equip them with the skills and values needed to create a sustainable society. Scientific literacy is one of the skills that can be developed if chemistry learning applies appropriate learning models and focuses on sustainable content. This study aims to explain how project-based learning with sustainability content in chemistry learning can develop scientific literacy. The research method used a literature review. The study results show that project-based learning with sustainability in chemistry learning can encourages scientific literacy because students actively collaborate to explore sustainability issues and involve them in real-world projects that require critical, creative, and innovative thinking to solve problems and develop sustainable solutions. If these skills are developed, they can improve students' scientific literacy.

Abstract

The implementation of innovative learning patterns in Elementary School 24 Banda Aceh is an effort to improve the quality of basic education through Project-Based Learning (PBL) and Game-Based Learning methods. This study uses a descriptive qualitative approach with data collection techniques through classroom observations and in-depth interviews with teachers. The results of the study indicate that this innovative method has succeeded in increasing student engagement and motivation by making learning more interactive and fun. PBL allows students to engage in real projects, improving critical thinking skills and communication skills, while Game-Based Learning facilitates conceptual understanding through game activities. Although challenges such as activity design and technological limitations were faced, the positive impact on students' understanding of the material and social skills was evident. Support from the school and parents played an important role in the success of the implementation, and plans for evaluation and development of learning methods showed a commitment to continuously improving the quality of education. This study concludes that innovation in learning can provide significant benefits for students and be a model for other schools.

Abstract

This study aims to see the success of students' learning in writing anecdotal texts based on local wisdom in class X SMK SMTI Banda Aceh. This study uses a quantitative approach with an Experiment type. The population of this study used two classes, namely class X TMI B and TMI C. The sample was selected randomly and class X TMI B was selected as the experimental class and TMI C as the control class totaling 54 people. Data collection was carried out through tests. The data were analyzed using a one-tailed t-test (right side), to determine the success of students' learning in class X TMI B and C SMK SMTI Banda Aceh in understanding the anecdotal text material with the application of the discovery learning model. The t-test shows the t-value of the control class is |-16.605|>1.705 t table and the significance value (2-tailed) is 0.001 (p <0.05). And the t-value of the experimental group is |-23.844| > 1.705 t table and significance value (2-tailed) is 0.001 (p < 0.05). This means that there is an increase in student learning success in learning to write anecdotal texts based on local wisdom through the discovery learning model for class X SMK SMTI Banda Aceh.

Abstract

Human indifference to the surrounding circumstances sometimes makes their health disturbed. Many factors cause a person to be uncomfortable, even to the point of making their health decline. Factors that can make an uncomfortable person disturbed from a health perspective are temperature and air humidity that are not suitable for the human body. Therefore, a tool is needed that can provide information to users about the temperature and humidity of the air in the lecture hall and where they are located. The tool is made using an arduino IDE and a DHT11 sensor as a sensor used to read air temperature and humidity. Then to transmit the value of the DHT11 sensor, WiFi is used in the circuit. The smartphone will receive information on air temperature and humidity in real time. In the application on the smartphone, in addition to indigo temperature and air humidity, there is also a graph indicator that provides good temperature and air humidity information for human. With this tool, it can make it easier for users to find out information on the temperature and humidity of the air in the room where they are located, such as in a lecture hall
