Abstract

Electrical energy at this time is a very important need to meet the needs of humans, such as lighting, factory machinery, household electricity, and other needs. Electricity flowing from the plant is channeled through transmission lines to be distributed to low- and medium voltage customers. In the process of distributing electrical energy, a device is needed to lower the voltage, namely a transformer. For the purposes of measurement and protection in electrical installations, a current transformer is needed to convert the amount of current on the primary side of large-scale electrical installations into small-scale current quantities more precisely and accurately. Determine the accuracy class of the current transformer to be able to transform primary into secondary. The excitation current will cause deviations from the measurement results. This deviation is commonly known as a transformation error or ratio error. Every single current transformer that PLN will use must meet the criteria of the IEC 60044-1 standard. From the data manager of current transformers in 30 phases at the Kuala Dua substation, it can be concluded that the current transformers with a ratio of 300/5A, 400/5A, 500/5A and 600/5A, core metering accuracy classes of 0.2 S, 0.5, and 1, 5P and 10P protection core accuracy classes. With the maximum error of the metering core ratio of ±0.2%, ±0.5%, and ±1%, and the maximum error of the protection core ratio of ±3% and ±5%.

Abstract

Information is now a basic need for every people, including the people in border areas. Therefore, it is an obligation for the government to provide information media that can be reached by all levels of society, one of which is FM radio broadcast media. This research aims to identify and assess the quality of FM radio broadcasts in the border area of Sambas Regency using several antenna models which in the area is a vulnerable area of signal leakage by neighbouring countries and far from Indonesian broadcast transmitters. The assessment of FM radio broadcast quality is carried out with the determination of SINPO (Signal, Interference, Noise, Propagation, Overall) values and field strength meter measurements. The data obtained were analysed using the Miles and Hubberman interactive data processing technique. From the research conducted, it was found that 10 Malaysian FM radio broadcast channels and 2 broadcast channels from Indonesia where the dominant broadcast was received better by the yagi antenna. There were also broadcasts whose frequencies fell out of compliance with the regulations.

Abstract

Currently, the use of energy sources as fuel for power plants still heavily relies on fossil fuels or, in other words, non-renewable energy sources that will gradually deplete and undoubtedly have environmental consequences. This research is conducted in an area that is geographically distant from the PLN (State Electricity Company) grid. Recognizing the need for increased use of Renewable Energy (EBT) and in line with the national target for 2025 set by the Ministry of Energy and Mineral Resources (ESDM), it is expected that the use of EBT can reach 23%. One of the efforts in developing EBT in areas that are not covered by the PLN electricity network is through Solar Power Plants (PLTS). The objectives of the upcoming research include calculating the cost per kilowatt (kW), determining the investment cost for the planned PLTS, and assessing the PLTS capacity to meet the energy demand in Dusun Molo, Bengkayang Regency. Based on the calculation results, the estimated daily electricity demand in Dusun Molo, Seren Selimbau Village, supplied by the PLTS, is 224,223 kWh/day. The power generated by the PLTS to meet the needs of Dusun Molo is 53,283 Wattpeak, while the planned power generation by the PLTS to meet Dusun Molo's requirements is 76,000 Wattpeak. The investment cost for the construction of the PLTS in Dusun Molo is IDR 3,213,751,000, including an 11% Value Added Tax (VAT). After the calculations, the Cost of Energy (COE) or price is determined to be IDR 2,972.00/kWh. This research provides an estimate of the investment cost for the construction of a PLTS in Dusun Molo, Bengkayang Regency.

Abstract

There are 2 methods of placing the Arrester and Fuse Cut Out (FCO) as protection at  distribution substation, namely the placement of the Arrester before the Fuse Cut Out (FCO) and the placement of the Arrester after the Fuse Cut Out (FCO). Each method has a different impact in overcoming the coming lightning implosion voltage disturbance. The purpose of this study is to determine the effect of arrester placement before and after FCO on distribution transformers on lightning surge interference, and to find out how the performance of arresters and FCO when lightning surge interference occurs. In this study there are three calculations, namely the calculation of the arrester placement before the FCO, the calculation of the arrester placement after the FCO and the calculation of the maximum protection distance of the lightning arrester with the transformer. The results of this study are the placement of the Arrester before the FCO, the surge voltage that passes to the primary side of the transformer is 53,8567 kV/ µs, this value is still below the transformer TID of 125 kV. Then in the Arrester placement after the FCO the surge voltage that passes to the primary side of the transformer is 58   kV/ µs, this value is still below the TID of the transformer of 125 kV. The maximum distance of arrester placement to the transformer is 14,1 m. The conclusion of this research is that the arrester works optimally in the two placements as for FCO does not work well in the Arrester placement after FCO.

Abstract

From the results of the RSSI values that occur when researchers observe the walktest method and observe network quality in bandwidth when not using additional devices in the form of access points and after adding bandwidth in the form of access point devices, which are used to test and analyze the quality of an ICONNET telecommunications service system that used. The data retrieved shows that the RSSI results show a good category and index after the addition of an access point device, which helps to strengthen a multilevel home network. In this case several factors affect a network quality. One of them is the number of users at that time, the number of partitions in the terraced house affects the quality of the network, as well as the existence of several room dividers that cannot access the wifi. However, we can handle some of these factors by adding an access point to the multi-storey house. Distance and cable length, that is, cable distance and length greatly affect a network quality, the farther we are from the wifi router, the worse the quality of the network we get, but after adding an access point. In table 4.3 is the result of RSSI recapitulation on 3 different bandwidths. different, the average results for each bandwidth are shown in the form of data before with a bandwidth of 10 Mbps with data before -64 dBm and data after or data after the addition of an access point with an RSSI value of -47 dBm, so there is an increase in the bandwidth of 10 Mbps, namely -17 %,

Abstract

The 7 In 1 Building at Tanjungpura University, located in Pontianak, along the equator, faces frequent lightning strike risks, necessitating the installation of a reliable external voltage protection system. This study aims to determine the configuration of a conventional protection system using the electrogeometry method, comparable in reliability to the Early Streamer Emission (ESE) protection system. Considering a lightning current of 16 kA and a lightning strike distance to the ground of 60,63 meters, the required number of conventional protection systems for optimal reliability is determined: the Library Building needs 104 rods, the Conference Building 62 rods, Joint Lecture Buildings A and B at Tanjungpura University 59 rods each, and the Integrated Laboratory Building 17 rods. The use of conventional voltage protection systems with the electrogeometry method has proven to achieve good reliability, equivalent to that of Early Streamer Emission (ESE), despite generating a smaller protection radius and requiring a higher number of finials.
