Abstract

This article analyzes the syntactic figure “repeat” in the work of Iqbal Mirzo, a bright representative of Uzbek poetry, as an important sign of his idiostyle. In the poems of Iqbal Mirzo, repetitions are manifested not only as an artistic method, but also as a means of expressing the poet's own unique worldview, feelings and thoughts. The article outlines the role of repetition in the style of the poet, the influence of his poems on musicality, rhythmic structure and emotionality through examples. This study serves a deeper understanding of the linguistic and stylistic features of Iqbal Mirzo's poetry.

Abstract

Vocabulary acquisition is widely recognized as one of the most challenging aspects of second language learning. While numerous approaches to vocabulary instruction exist, the potential of etymology—studying the origin and evolution of words - remains underexplored in language pedagogy. This article examines the role of etymology in enhancing vocabulary acquisition, emphasizing its cognitive, pedagogical, and metacognitive benefits. It argues that integrating etymology into language learning strategies fosters not only deeper semantic understanding but also broader cognitive engagement, facilitating word retention and expanding linguistic competence. Drawing on theoretical frameworks and empirical research, this study highlights the potential of etymology to significantly improve language learners’ lexical depth and intercultural awareness.
Numerical Approximation of Periodic Points For Some Mappings Islamov, M. I.; Kutlumuratov, R.R.; Ismailov, A. I.

Abstract

This study delves into the numerical approximation of periodic points for quadratic mappings, with a particular focus on ecological dynamics represented by the logistic map. We extend the analysis to two-dimensional mappings to capture the interactions between interconnected islands, where parameters reflect living conditions and population dynamics. The investigation involves solving systems of equations to identify points where the period of the mapping equals four, distinguishing them from points with periods equal to two. Approximate solution methods are employed due to the complexity of the equations, facilitating the exploration of periodic orbits and their spectral characteristics through numerical experimentation.
Cultural-Pragmatic Features of Idioms and Their Translation Strategies Islomova Navruza; Isakova Nodira Azzamovna

Abstract

Idioms constitute a significant component of phraseological systems and represent fixed multi-word expressions whose meanings are not predictable from the semantic sum of their individual constituents. As culturally embedded linguistic units, idioms reflect the historical experience, worldview, social norms, and value systems of a speech community. This article examines the cultural and pragmatic dimensions of idiomatic expressions and analyzes principal strategies employed in their translation. Drawing upon established translation theories and comparative examples from English and other languages, the study highlights the challenges of achieving semantic, cultural, and stylistic equivalence. The findings demonstrate that effective idiom translation requires not only linguistic competence but also intercultural awareness and pragmatic sensitivity

Abstract

The process of engaging students in language learning can be approached through various methods, including the use of games and play. Incorporating games to teach languages in educational settings is not a new concept, but many educators remain hesitant to embrace games as a primary teaching tool. Board games, when aligned with curriculum standards and targeted learning objectives, can prove to be both effective and engaging. This study explores the use of BOP (Board games for Organizing Preposition practice) , a formative assessment tool designed as a board game, as an innovative approach to teaching prepositions — specifically on, at, and in — in phrasal verbs to EFL (English as a Foreign Language) and ESP (English for Specific Purposes) students. The study involved 62 voluntary participants from University of Innovation Technologies and Karakalpak State University who completed both a pre-test and post-test to assess their progress in acquiring these prepositions. Additionally, a survey was administered to gauge the students' attitudes and perceptions regarding the use of board games in language learning. The results indicate that the game-based approach was effective in helping learners improve their understanding of phrasal verbs, with most students reporting increased engagement and retention
