Abstract

The rapid development of digital platforms has significantly transformed tourists’ decision-making processes, particularly in the context of natural tourism destinations. This study aims to analyze the influence of social media engagement and online reviews on tourists’ decisions to visit natural tourism destinations in Bandung, Indonesia. A quantitative research approach was employed by distributing structured questionnaires to 150 respondents who actively use social media and access online tourism reviews. The measurement items were assessed using a five-point Likert scale, and data analysis was conducted using the Statistical Package for the Social Sciences (SPSS) version 25. The results of multiple linear regression analysis indicate that social media engagement has a positive and significant effect on tourists’ visit decisions. Similarly, online reviews were found to have a significant positive influence on the decision to visit. Furthermore, the simultaneous test results demonstrate that both variables jointly contribute significantly to explaining tourists’ visit decisions, accounting for 52.7% of the variance. These findings highlight the crucial role of digital interaction and electronic word-of-mouth in shaping tourists’ behavior. The study provides practical implications for tourism managers and policymakers in Bandung, emphasizing the importance of integrating engaging social media strategies with effective online review management to enhance the attractiveness and competitiveness of natural tourism destinations.

Abstract

This study examines the role of sharia financing product innovation and compliance with profit-sharing principles in enhancing the attractiveness of sharia banks for micro, small, and medium enterprises (MSMEs) in Bandung City. MSMEs play a crucial role in the local economy but often face constraints in accessing suitable financing. Sharia banks offer an alternative financing model based on ethical values and profit-sharing mechanisms; however, their attractiveness depends on both product innovation and consistent adherence to sharia principles. This research adopts a quantitative approach using primary data collected from 150 MSME actors through a structured questionnaire measured on a five-point Likert scale. Data were analyzed using Structural Equation Modeling–Partial Least Squares (SEM-PLS) version 3. The results show that sharia financing product innovation has a positive and significant effect on the attractiveness of sharia banks. Furthermore, compliance with profit-sharing principles demonstrates a stronger positive influence, indicating that transparency, fairness, and authentic sharia implementation are critical in building MSME trust and preference. The findings suggest that sharia banks should integrate continuous product innovation with strict adherence to profit-sharing principles to enhance competitiveness and strengthen long-term relationships with MSMEs. This study contributes to the empirical literature on Islamic banking and provides practical implications for sharia bank management in designing MSME-oriented financing strategies.

Abstract

Social media, particularly Instagram, has evolved into a strategic digital public space for social advocacy and the formation of critical awareness regarding gender equality. Amidst these dynamics, single mothers have emerged as social actors who not only face the structural burdens of patriarchy but also actively produce alternative narratives about women, family, and gender justice. This article aims to analyze the role of single mothers in promoting gender equality through women's communities on Instagram using a text analysis approach. This study integrates critical discourse analysis, visual representation, and audience interaction analysis of Instagram content produced by the single mother community. Theoretically, this research is grounded in Uses and Gratifications Theory, representation theory, digital feminism, and virtual community theory. The results of the literature review indicate that although studies on gender and Instagram have developed significantly, research specifically positioning single mothers as agents of gender equality advocacy is still limited. This article offers an integrative conceptual model that explains how single mothers' digital narratives contribute to the formation of public awareness and attitudes regarding gender equality. These findings are expected to enrich the academic discourse on communication, gender, and digital media and serve as a reference for further empirically based research.

Abstract

Globalization has had a significant impact on the dynamics of the global economy, including the international business practices carried out by multinational companies. One of the consequences of this phenomenon is the increasing flow of transactions between related entities, known as Transfer Pricing. Transfer pricing refers to a company's policy in determining the transfer price of transactions involving goods, services, intangible assets, or financial transactions between affiliated companies. Multinational companies often utilize transfer pricing by manipulating transfer prices to reduce the amount of tax payable to the state in order to maximize profits. The purpose of this study is to examine the effect of Intangible Assets and Tunneling Incentive on the decision of companies to engage in Transfer Pricing. The observation period of this study covers the years 2020 to 2024. The research sample consists of consumer non-cyclical sector companies listed on the Indonesia Stock Exchange (IDX) during the 2020–2024 period. The sampling method employed was purposive sampling, resulting in a total of 115 observations. Data were processed using E-Views with panel data regression analysis under the Random Effect Model (REM). Transfer Pricing was measured using the ratio of related-party receivables to total receivables, Intangible Assets were measured using the ratio of intangible assets to total assets, and Tunneling Incentive was measured using the ratio of the largest shareholding to total outstanding shares. The results indicate that Intangible Assets have no significant effect on the decision to engage in Transfer Pricing, whereas Tunneling Incentive has a significant effect, suggesting that the proportion of share ownership influences a company's tendency to conduct Transfer Pricing. Furthermore, the study finds no simultaneous effect of Intangible Assets and Tunneling Incentive on the decision to engage in Transfer Pricing.
