Abstract

The industrial sector is considered as one of the biggest polluters and waste generators. Since the big industry started, pollution has increased rapidly. The result of the production process is not only in the form of finished goods that can be sold, but the remaining production waste can damage the environment. The purpose of this study is to describe the sociological impacts of the existence of the rice milling industry. This researcher used a literature study by reading, processing, and writing readings from various reference sources. The results of the study show that this industry has a positive impact on improving the welfare of the community and for the benefits of industrial owners. In addition, it has a negative impact on the environment, for workers, and for the surrounding community. So that prevention and control are needed from the workers themselves, the government through policy formation, control from the surrounding community and the creation of an industrial climate by taking into account Environmental Impact Analysis, environmentally friendly industries and the principles of eco-efficiency and zero waste.

Abstract

The existence of an advocacy institution is crucial as an independent institution that is outside the government. Law becomes an essential entity in protecting human rights. This study aims to examine the existence of legal aid institutions in Indonesia and their implications for the legal awareness of the Indonesian people in the study of the sociology of law. This research is socio-legal research with a statutory regulation approach. This study found that the existence of legal aid institutions in Indonesia has been recognized by Law Number 16 of 2011 concerning Legal Aid and Law Number 18 of 2003 concerning Advocates. Because of this legal umbrella, it is hoped that all people can access justice through legal aid institutions to achieve justice for all levels of society without exception.

Abstract

The Pattallassang Tombolo Pao community is the focus of this research project, which investigates the use of homonyms in the Konjo language and the differences in the meanings of terms used by that community. This study aims to explore specific terms that, despite their seemingly identical spellings and pronunciations, are understood to convey very diverse connotations in the Konjo language. In this study, a descriptive qualitative method was used to conduct research utilizing a case study approach, and a literature review was also conducted. Interviews and written documentation were the methods of data collection for this study. The findings of this study showed that there are 23 homonym words in the Konjo language, which is used by the people who live in the Pattallassang Tombolo Pao community. This research also discovered one homonym with three distinct meanings despite having the exact spelling and sound. This word is called "Tappa," and it can mean either "direct," "fall," or "believe."

Abstract

The scope of study on semantic analysis of meaning in song lyrics will involve analyzing the words and phrases used in the lyrics to understand the deeper meaning and emotions that the singer wants to convey to the listeners. This study was conducted with the aim of finding out and describing what types of meaning are contained in the lyrics of Aespa's song "life too short" based on semantic meaning studies. This study is a descriptive qualitative research where the object of this research is in the form of the text of a song entitled "life too short" by a South Korean girl group singer, namely Aespa. The method of obtaining data in this research involved utilizing a literature review approach. The lyrics of Aespa's song "life too short" were obtained from the internet. Afterward, the writer discerns the nature of the message conveyed in different segments of the song. After being analyzed based on the theory of Prof. Dr. D. Wagiman Adisutrisno, M. A. (2008), the results of this study indicate that in Aespa's song "life too short" there are two types of meaning that emerge, namely conceptual meanings and idioms. Abstract

After Indonesia was hit by the monetary crisis in the past 1997, the term Bankruptcy & Suspension of Debt Payment Obligations or PKPU was familiar to business actors and to the law. How could it not be, bankruptcy and PKPU are seen as effective ways for creditors to return their collectible rights from debtors who fail to pay their debts. In the midst of global progress in the business world, not a few social problems have arisen. For example, the debt problem of an incapacitated debtor. The question is how to understand bankruptcy & postponement of payment obligations from a profit and loss perspective when compared to an ordinary lawsuit? In this paper, the author provides a general and brief description of how the procedure is for bankruptcy and PKPU applications at the Commercial Court, cassation and judicial review. Including the roles of creditors, debtors, curators, supervisory judges and advocates. Also included is the history of the Commercial Courts in Indonesia and the areas of jurisdiction of commercial courts that have been formed. Not only that, this paper also discusses the pros and cons of whether it is better to use the bankruptcy process or an ordinary lawsuit if a debtor fails to pay his debts when they are due.
