The Law and Economics is an interdisciplinary Publication. It seeks to promote an understanding of many complex phenomena by examining such matters from a combined law, economics, and organization perspective (or a two-way combination thereof). In this connection, we use the term organization broadly - to include scholarship drawing on political science, psychology and sociology, among other fields. It also holds the study of institutions - especially economic, legal, and political institutions - to be specifically important and greatly in need of careful analytic study.

Abstract

This study focuses on examining two key factors believed to have a significant influence on the performance of wushu taolu athletes: the variables under investigation, namely rewards and sports facilities at the OKU Regency Youth and Sports Office. The research method employed is a quantitative descriptive approach; this study utilises saturation sampling or a census, whereby the entire population of 40 athletes was selected as the research sample. The results of the study show that the calculation of the variable. Reward (X1) against Performance (Y) yielded a significance value of 0.009 < 0.05. Sports Facilities (X2) on Performance (Y) yielded a significance value of 0.014 < 0.05. Meanwhile, the simultaneous analysis yielded a significance value of 0.003, which is smaller than α = 0.05 (0.003 < 0.05). The R-squared value is 0.264. It can therefore be concluded that the independent variables Reward (X1) and Sports Facilities (X2) have a partial and simultaneous effect on performance (Y) of 26.4%, whilst the remainder is attributable to variables outside the scope of this study.

Abstract

Poverty in Samosir Regency is still the main problem even though the Village Fund policy has been implemented as an instrument of village development. This study aims to analyze the effectiveness of the Village Fund in poverty alleviation during the 2019–2024 period. The method used is a descriptive-analytical qualitative approach with secondary data from the Central Statistics Agency, policy documents, and local government reports, which are analyzed using the Miles and Huberman model. The results of the study show that the poverty rate fluctuated from 12.52% (2019) to 13.10% (2021) due to the pandemic, then decreased to 11.63% (2024), but tended to stagnate in the final period. The allocation of Village Funds increased from IDR 95 billion (2019) to IDR 115 billion (2024), with a shift in the use of infrastructure (70%) to community empowerment (40%) and a decrease in the portion of BLT from 35% (2021) to 10% (2024). Supporting indicators also show improvements, such as a decrease in unemployment from 4.8% (2021) to 3.4% (2024), an increase in the average length of school from 8.5 to 9.0 years, and access to infrastructure from 65% to 78%. However, these improvements have not had a significant impact on poverty reduction. Thus, the effectiveness of the Village Fund is still not optimal and requires policies that are more oriented towards economic empowerment and strengthening the capacity of village communities.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the impact of fixed asset management and regulatory compliance on service efficiency at Dr. H. Ibnu Sutowo Baturaja Regional General Hospital in Ogan Komering Ulu Regency. Effective fixed asset management and regulatory compliance are key factors in supporting improvements in hospital service quality. This study employs a quantitative descriptive method with an explanatory research approach. The sampling technique uses a census method involving 47 respondents from the administration, finance, nursing logistics, and medical service logistics departments. Data collection was conducted through observation, interviews, questionnaires, and a literature review. Data analysis employed multiple linear regression, including validity and reliability testing, classical assumption tests, t-tests, F-tests, and the coefficient of determination. The results of this study are expected to show that fixed asset management and regulatory compliance have a positive and significant effect on hospital service efficiency, both partially and simultaneously. Good asset management through optimal inventory, maintenance, and monitoring can improve the utilization of hospital resources, expedite services, and increase patient satisfaction. Furthermore, regulatory compliance supports the creation of effective, accountable hospital governance that meets healthcare service standards. Thus, this study is expected to serve as a basis for evaluation and recommendations for hospitals in improving the efficiency of healthcare services

Abstract

Customer loyalty contributes substantially to organizational performance and long-term business sustainability. The development of loyalty is closely associated with customers’ experiences and the quality of interactions established by an organization. This research examines the roles of e-service quality and e-trust in shaping e-customer loyalty while considering e-customer satisfaction as an intervening construct. Information was obtained from 100 Brainy Kids Indonesia partners through a questionnaire survey and subsequently analyzed using the Partial Least Squares–Structural Equation Modeling (PLS-SEM) approach with Smart PLS 3. The results indicate that e-service quality and e-trust positively affect both e-customer satisfaction and e-customer loyalty. Furthermore, e-customer satisfaction contributes to the enhancement of customer loyalty and serves as an intermediary mechanism linking e-service quality and e-trust with e-customer loyalty. The findings underscore the importance of maintaining high electronic service quality and strengthening customer trust as strategic efforts to improve satisfaction and foster long-term customer loyalty
