Abstract

The Covid-19 pandemic has a wide impact on various aspects of social life including education. The learning process in the new normal era causes many problems for students, especially decreased learning motivation due to boredom. This study aims to identify and describe: a) the principal managerial competence in overcoming the decline in student motivation in the new normal era; b) Application of the blended learning model in the new normal era; and c) The development of student motivation at SMP Negeri 1 Jatiwangi in the new normal era after the blended learning model was applied. The research approach used qualitative by means of collecting in-depth interviews with informants who were determined purposively. The data obtained were analyzed descriptively interpretive through data reduction, data presentation, and drawing conclusions. The validity of the data was tested through triangulation techniques. The results showed: a) the principal managerial competence was included in the competent category; b) Application of the blended learning model, which is optional between face-to-face combination and face-to-offline combination; and c) After the blended learning model was applied, student motivation increased and boredom decreased. In conclusion, the principal's managerial competence through the application of blended learning can increase student motivation.

Abstract

This research is motivated by the low performance of high school teachers, presumably due to the lack of proper supervision by the principal. The research aims to analyze and determine: a) The role of principal supervision in improving teacher performance; b). Benchmarks for determining the success of the supervisory role of the principal; c) Efforts by one school to improve the performance of high school teachers. The study used a qualitative approach with the main data collection tool using in-depth interviews with informants who were assigned a positive basis, the data obtained were analyzed through data reduction, data presentation, and drawing conclusions. The validity of the data was tested through triangulation techniques. The results showed: a) the principal has carried out his role and function as a supervisor based on the supervision program created with the supervisor; b) The benchmarks for the success of the principal's supervisory role are seen from the implementation of learning and the success of students in achieving learning goals. c) In improving teacher performance, the principal makes classroom observations, class administration checks, encourages teachers to be active in MGMP activities, and carries out clinical supervision. In conclusion, the role of principal supervision can improve teacher performance. High school.

Abstract

This research is motivated by the low professional competence of teachers which has an impact on the low quality of education, presumably due to the inappropriate strategy of the principal. The research aims to analyze and find out: a) the principal's strategy in developing teacher professional competence; b). Barriers faced in developing teacher competence; and; c) the principal's efforts to overcome barriers to developing teacher professional competence. The study used a qualitative approach with the main data collection tool using in-depth interviews. The informants are defined positively, the data obtained through data reduction, data presentation, and drawing conclusions. The validity of the data was tested through triangulation techniques. The results showed: a) The strategies used by the principal in the development of teacher competence consisted of formal strategies and non-formal strategies; b) The obstacles faced are the low interest of teachers in self-development, the limitations of teachers in mastery of ICT, and the availability of inadequate facilities; c) Efforts made to overcome obstacles are through in-service training. In conclusion, the principal's strategy in developing teacher professional competence can improve the quality of education.

Abstract

The research was motivated by the phenomenon of the low competence of madrasah principals, aiming to determine the efforts of madrasa supervisors in improving the competence of madrasah principals. The research uses an approach, data collection tools use interviews and observations. Informants were selected purposively, consisting of supervisors, madrasa heads, teachers, and madrasa committee administrators. The data were analyzed descriptively qualitatively with a pedagogical and psychological approach through data reduction, data presentation, and conclusion drawing. The results of the study indicate that: a) Supervision is carried out by supervisors through coaching, training, and supervision activities, either directly or indirectly; b) The managerial supervision method uses observation, evaluation, reflection, and FGD; c) The results of supervision in improving the competence of madrasah principals in the form of increasing insight, knowledge, and work motivation of madrasah principals and educators; d) In managing madrasah, the head implements managerial functions, organizes madrasa administration, creates a conducive work climate, and strives to meet eight national education standards; e) Two inhibiting factors were found, namely internal and external factors.

Abstract

The research was motivated by the low performance of teachers, allegedly due to ineffective leadership and an inconsistent work culture. The research aims to analyze and determine: a) the effectiveness of the principal's leadership; b). teacher work culture; c) teacher performance. The research uses an approach with the main data collection tool using an in-depth discussion. Informants were determined purposively, the data obtained were processed and analyzed through data reduction, data presentation, and drawing conclusions. Data validity was tested through technical triangulation. The results of the study show: a) Principal leadership is effective in improving teacher performance. b) Teacher work culture strengthens teacher values ​​and work abilities; c) Leadership and work culture can improve teacher performance. In conclusion, the effectiveness of principals' leadership and work culture can improve teacher performance.

Abstract

This research is motivated by the low motivation of students to learn, this is thought to be due to the use of unsuitable learning methods. The low level of absorption of students towards Islamic religious subjects is evidenced by the results. This is the main problem, because learning motivation will be related to student learning outcomes in Islamic education subjects. The research method used in this research is analytic, to determine the level of the relationship between one variable and another. To obtain the necessary data, as part of the analytic regression design, researchers used quantitative methods by distributing questionnaires. To support the data collected through questionnaires, observations and interviews were also carried out with related parties, namely teachers and school principals. The results of this study prove that the application of the lecture method in Islamic Education learning is carried out well. The application of the dialogue method in Islamic Education learning is well implemented. The learning motivation of students of SD Negeri Balongan 1, Indramayu Regency is perceived as sufficient. There is a positive and significant effect of the application of the lecture method on learning motivation. There is a positive and significant effect of the application of the dialogue method on learning motivation. The positive and significant effect of the simultaneous application of the lecture method and the dialogue method on learning motivation.

Abstract

The research was motivated by the low religious attitudes of elementary school students, presumably due to the low level of professional teachers and the implementation of the 2013 curriculum, aimed to see: a) teacher professionalism, the implementation of the 2013 curriculum, and students' religious attitudes; b) The magnitude of the professional influence of teachers on students' religious attitudes; c) The amount of implementation of 2013 on students' religious attitudes; and d) The magnitude of the professional influence of teachers and the implementation of the 2013 curriculum together on students' religious attitudes. This research is quantitative with survey methods, data filling techniques with questionnaires distributed to 71 respondents. Data analysis with parametric statistics, analyzed descriptively and verificatively. The results showed; a) Professional teachers are in good condition; b) The 2013 curriculum has been well implemented; c) students' religious attitudes are in good condition, but have weaknesses in certain aspects; d) Teachers have an effect on students' religious attitudes; e) The implementation of the 2013 curriculum has an effect on students' religious attitudes; and f) Together, professional teachers and the implementation of the 2013 curriculum have an effect on students' religious attitudes with the influence of 84.90% and the remaining 15.10%, other factors. Conclusion, both partially and collectively, professional teachers and the implementation of the 2013 curriculum have an effect on students' religious attitudes

Abstract

This research is motivated by the low results of the teacher competency test which is a reflection of the low teaching performance of teachers in Indonesia, which of course is related to the low HDI and the Education Development Index or the Indonesian Education Development Index in UNDP and Unesco research monitoring. The low performance of teachers in Indonesia is caused by many factor. This study uses a descriptive correlational method. This method describes the relationship between research variables. Abstract

Headteacher leadership, work motivation is a factor in improving work discipline. The motivation factor becomes one that affects the teacher's work discipline in improving its quality because the more motivation a person is more likely to improve his work discipline. This work motivation causes a teacher to be passionate in carrying out duties as an educator because it has fulfilled his needs. The fulfillment of these needs is related to job satisfaction, where among the expectations of teachers are met by the reality provided by the organization. This research method uses descriptive methods of analysis, which look at the relationship between two or more variables through the analysis of the data obtained. This method is also often called descriptive verifiive analysis because it looks for how much influence leadership and work discipline have on students' learning achievement. The results of the study proved that the leadership of the principal has a positive and significant effect on learning achievement. The discipline of the teacher's work has a positive and significant effect on learning achievement. Headteacher leadership and teacher work discipline simultaneously have a positive and significant effect on learning achievement

Abstract

This study aims to find out the right steps in carrying out class administration supervision so as to be able to improve the pedagogical competence of teachers, especially in classroom management which will ultimately affect the improvement of the quality of education. The study was conducted with two cycles. Each cycle has different planning, execution, observation, and reflection. Research subjects of teachers of SMP Negeri 2 Leua, Indramayu Regency Academic Year 2020/2021. Teachers as objects as well as subjects in the treatment of class administration supervision activities. Data collection techniques through administrative supervision of learning planning with document analysis and classroom observation, to record important matters and events related to research. Data analysis techniques that guide data processing using percentages (%) of achievements with a constant of 100. Furthermore, to look at the interpertation by using the score interpertation criteria to reinforce the interpretation in conclusions as follows: 80%-100% (very good), 66%-79% (good), 56%-65% (sufficient), and 40%-55% (less). The results showed that the teacher's ability in the implementation of learning has increased by percentage at each stage, from the results of precyclical, cycle I, cycle II, the teacher's ability to manage classes has increased by percentage at each stage from the new precyclical reaching 55.00% (less), in cycle I reaching 61.50% (enough), and cycle II reaching 72.25% (good).
