Abstract

Background: Adolescence is often said to be the transition period from childhood to adulthood, where the reproductive organs become physically, socially, and psychologically mature. These changes occur when two hormones, estrogen and progesterone, begin to work properly. One of the characteristics of puberty in adolescent girls is the start of menstruation. Objective: The purpose of this study is to determine the relationship between the level of knowledge about vulva hygiene and the incidence of vulvar pruritus during menstruation at SMP PGRI Kasihan Bantul. Method: This research is a quantitative research that uses correlation analysis with a cross sectional research design. The population in this study was 73 grade VII and VIII teenage girls, taken using total sampling technique. The measuring instrument used a knowledge of vulva hygiene questionnaire and the incidence of pruritus vulva. The data analysis used univariate and bivariate using Somer’s d test. Result: The results of the study said that the majority of young women at SMP PGRI Kasihan Bantul had a level of knowledge about vulva hygiene included in the sufficient category of 43 female students 58.9%. Young women at SMP PGRI Kasihan Bantul who experience vulvar pruritus are included in the medium category as many as 43 female students 58.9%. Conclusion: There is a relationship between the level of knowledge about vulva hygiene and the incidence of vulvar pruritus in SMP PGRI Kasihan Bantul with a p value of 0.011. There is a closeness between the level of knowledge about vulva hygiene and the incidence of vulvar pruritus in SMP PGRI Kasihan Bantul with an r value of -0.240.

Objective: This study aims to determine the correlation between implementation of supervision and performance of implementing nurses in preventing nosocomial infections in regional public hospital Nyi Ageng Serang Kulon Progo. Methods: Correlational descriptive research with cross-sectional approach. The population in this study is all practicing nurses in the inpatient ward class III in regional public hospital Nyi Ageng Serang Kulon Progo. Total sampling is used as the data collection method. Result: The results show that most of the nurses perceived the implementation of supervision by Infection Prevention and Control Nurse (IPCLN) in the category as much 27 (69.2%) nurses. The performance of implementing nurses in preventing the incidence of nosocomial infections in the less optimal category is 18 (46.2%) nurses. Bivariate test results obtained p-value=0.202 by r=0.200 Summary: There is no correlation between the implementation of supervision and the performance of nursing staff in the prevention of nosocomial infections.

Abstract

Introduction. Hemodialysis therapy is a kidney replacement therapy that functions to remove metabolic waste resulting from kidney damage. The hemodialysis dose is adjusted to the patient's needs. One of the factors that influence the achievement of adequacy is quick blood flow (Qb). The higher the Qb, the more adequacy will be achieved, but it is not yet known how much Qb speed influences the achievement of hemodialysis adequacy. This research aims to determine the relationship between quick blood flow and hemodialysis adequacy. Method. This research uses descriptive analytical methods with a cross-sectional approach. The population in this study was 133 patients undergoing hemodialysis at the Indramayu District Hospital and a sample of 44 respondents using a purposive sampling technique. This research instrument uses an observation sheet and data is analyzed using the chi-square test. Result. The average quick of blood for patients was 270.57 ml/minute. A total of 24 (54.5%) respondents had Qb ? 270.57 ml/minute and 24 (54.5%) respondents achieved adequacy. The results of further analysis obtained a p-value of 0.029 (? < 0.05), meaning that there was a relationship between quick blood flow and hemodialysis adequacy in chronic kidney failure patients in the Hemodialysis Room at Indramayu District Hospital. Conclusion. Quick of blood is related to hemodialysis adequacy. Suggestions are aimed at nurses to adjust Qb according to the patient's dose, namely a minimum of 270 ml/minute so that adequacy is achieved.

Objective: This research aims to determine whether the effect of Benar Therapy can reduce the academic burnout in student of SMPN 2 Turi, Yogyakarta. Methods: The research method used was quantitative experimental design with Quasi Experimental Design Pretest Posttest Control. This research was conducted at SMPN 2 Turi, Yogyakarta in June. The research sample consisted of VIII grade students, totaling 60 samples selected using purposive sampling technique. The data were collected using a questionnaire before-and-after the intervention of benar treatment therapy. The data analysis used were univariate analysis and bivariate analysis with the Shapiro-Wilk test and T-test. Results: The Academy burnout average in the control group before the treatment was 50.37 ± 5.41, while after the treatment was at the average of 48.90 ± 4.90. In the intervention group with the benar therapy, the academy burnout before treatment showed an average of 50.80 ± 7.11, whereas after the treatment, the average academy burnout decreased to 44.60 ± 9.15. The results of the T-test show that in the control group, there is no significant correlation between treatment and academy burnout (p=0.276), while in the intervention group with benar therapy, there is a significant correlation (p=0.005). Conclusion: The results of the T-test show that in the control group, there is no significant correlation between treatment and academy burnout, while in the intervention group with benar therapy, there is a significant correlation.

Abstract

Background: Hand washing is cleaning hands using soap and running water if hands are visibly dirty or using an alcohol-based liquid if hands are not visibly dirty. Pre-school-aged children have less awareness about hand washing behavior. Audio visual media is one of the media used to provide hand washing education. Objective: The purpose of this study is to analyze the effect of providing hand washing education using audio-visual media on hand washing behavior in pre-school children Method: The research design was a one group pretest-posttest design. The population of this study were all students at the TK ABA Gedongkiwo, Yogyakarta, 52 students in total using a total sampling technique. The independent variable was education with audio-visual media and the dependent variable was hand washing behavior. Data collection used an observation sheet according to the six steps of hand washing and four minimum hand washing time at school. Data management techniques by means of editing, coding, scoring, tabulation, data entry and data cleaning. Statistical test used the Paired Sample T-Test. Result: The results of the study from 52 respondents before being given hand washing education using audio visual media, most of the respondents behaved badly, 48 children (92.3%), after being given hand washing education using audio visual media, most of the respondents behaved well, 41 children (78.8 %). The Paired Sample T Test statistical test obtained a Sig value. (2 tailed) = 0.001 where the Sig. value (2 tailed) was less than 0.005 therefore H0 is rejected and H1 is accepted Conclusion: The conclusion is that there is an effect of providing hand washing education using audio visual media on hand washing behavior in pre-school aged children at TK ABA Gedongkiwo, Yogyakarta.
