Abstract

Non-communicable diseases (NCDs) are diseases that cannot be transmitted from person to person, whose development occurs slowly over a long period of time (chronic). In the initial course, NCDs often have no symptoms, many do not know and are aware that they have the disease. Efforts to control non-communicable diseases (PTM) such as: hypertension, etc., can be carried out by means of routine control at community health centers or through services at posyandu. Activities at the posyandu are coordinated by posyandu cadres. One of the activities carried out at the posyandu is health screening by measuring blood pressure. There are many posyandu cadres who have not mastered the skills of using manual blood pressure monitors. There needs to be training in using manual blood pressure monitors at posyandu. The goals of this activity is to increase knowledge and skills on how to use a blood pressure measuring device in the form of a manual blood pressure monitor for posyandu cadres in the Bawak Village Area, Cawas, Klaten. The methods used are socialization, preparation, implementation and evaluation. Training was carried out on a cadre of 17 people. All posyandu cadres were able to demonstrate well and were skilled at using a manual sphygmomanometer to measure blood pressure.

Abstract

Cancer is the leading cause of death in the world, with cancer being the second leading cause of death in the world at 13% after cardiovascular disease. Experts estimate that 40% of cancers can be prevented by reducing risk factors for cancer. For this reason, efforts are needed to increase public awareness to prevent these risk factors and increase appropriate prevention and control programs. Therefore, it is important for women to carry out early detection of breast cancer which aims to detect cancer as early as possible so that it is easier to treat through Self Breast Examination or breast self-examination, often shortened to SADARI. Universitas Muhammadiyah Klaten plays a role in carrying out these activities as a form of community service activities. Abstract

Technological progress is still happening on a massive scale and has been felt by all levels of society, including children. The generation of children born in 2010 is often called the Alpha generation, the generation most familiar with technology and internet facilities. Therefore, assistance is needed regarding the use of digital media, in line with what has been carried out by the government regarding the design of the School Literacy Movement (GLS). However, the facts obtained based on test results in the Program International Student Assessment (PISA) state that students in Indonesia have low literacy compared to other ASEAN countries. Poor literacy can impact students' psychology because children's emotions are still unstable. Elementary school students often conclude information without filtering to ensure whether the information received is valid or not. Therefore, it is necessary to raise awareness of digital literacy among students and parents to prepare them before accompanying their children. There is a need for digital literacy education to be provided in schools. The aim of implementing digital literacy for early school students is to help students understand digital literacy related to how students respond to problems in the digital world.
