Abstract

Badminton players aged 7-9 years still have difficulty in making lob shots, which are lob shots that do not bounce and tend to be tolerant. To overcome this, can be given a shuttlecock throwing exercise. This study aims to determine the effect of shuttlecock throwing style to increase arm strength in lob badminton players aged 7-9 years in PB. Angkor Kusuma Bojonegoro.This type of research is an experiment with a "one-group pretest posttest design". The population in this study is badminton player PB. Angkling Kusuma Bojonegoro, age 7-9 years, the sample in this study amounted to 8 athletes. The instrument used is the lob Ability Test (French Test).The results showed that there was an effect of shuttlecock throwing exercises to increase arm strength for lob shots in badminton players aged 7-9 years in PB. Angkor Kusuma Bojonegoro. The results can be proven t count 13.805 > t table 2.36, and a significant value of 0.000 < 0.05, with a percentage increase of 16.5%.Suggestion, the coach can vary the exercise program to avoid athlete boredom, and increase enthusiasm in training.

Abstract

Gifted and talented children are potentially marginalized due to a lack of awareness in society. Gifted and talented students in schools are at high risk if their educational needs are not met which can cause them to experience burnout, emotional disturbances and psychological problems. This article discusses explicitly the importance of music for gifted and talented students so that they can raise awareness among teachers, parents and the community. The analysis results from various literatures show that the role of music is so important in shaping and supporting positive emotions among gifted students, in fact it helps sharpen their gifted traits.

Abstract

The study entitled as the impact of EMI to multilingual learners at secondary level education is based on qualitative research design. This paper tries to find out impact of EMI in secondary level students and its effects in students’ indigenous knowledge into multilingual class room. To conduct study, both primary and secondary sources of data collection procedure have been analysed clearly. For its primary source, interview was conducted with the English teachers, parents and students to find out impact of EMI towards students’ indigenous knowledge in multi lingual class room. And, for secondary sources of data collection, various many different policies, education act, SSDP, SSRP, research-based articles, and other related information from various websites have been analysed and reviewed. The result of the study included that all the participants viewed impact of EMI in secondary level education has more limitations than merits as the students’ indigenous knowledge differs among them in multilingual classroom. There are many mother tongue interferences in teaching learning. And it is found that there are many more things to be improved for betterment of the secondary level school education; conducting seminar, workshop or conference which enhance effectiveness of EMI in secondary level education

Abstract

History education is often considered boring and students have difficulty understanding its function. However, history lessons can give us an understanding of current and future events. The problem that is often forgotten is actually only related to how we can adapt to learning models that are often less suited to real conditions. This research tested a learning model called reflective learning which was then tested on students, namely Al Kautsar High School students, Bandar Lampung. In this research, researchers used a quasi-experiment, namely one class was the control and the other received treatment in the form of reflective learning model to measure the effect on historical empathy. The research results show that a reflective learning approach can effectively foster historical empathy
