Abstract

Abstract

The aim of this study was to demonstrate the impact of the integration between artificial intelligence and financial budgets in maintaining financial controls for insurance companies, using the method of the applied study with Al-Rasheed bank as a case study. The study was done on the basis of descriptive-analytical methodology using the opinions of some employees in the fields of finance, budgeting, auditing, controlling, and information technology at the bank as well as using some data related to finance and budget reports. The study examined the reality of the budgets in the traditional financial system in comparison with the budgets based on the support provided by AI methods, including those based on predictive analytics and machine learning tools for estimating revenues and expenses, as well as detecting financial deviations. The findings included a considerable decline in the rates of financial deviations under the budgets with AI support when they moved from high levels under the traditional budgets to low levels. At the same time, the results revealed an improvement in financial performance indicators, particularly in terms of report preparation speed, estimation accuracy, and improvement in the preventive control process as well as concurrent control, which is significant to financial decision-making. The study concluded that the integration of AI in the process of preparing financial budgets in insurance companies and banks is an effective tool to improve financial control, reduce financial risks, and enhance financial performance efficiency in those institutions.

Abstract

Abstract

This research was conducted to examine how minimum wage levels, the Human Development Index (HDI), and population growth contribute to changes in the open unemployment rate in Banten Province during 2010–2024. A quantitative framework was applied by utilizing secondary time-series data sourced from the Central Statistics Agency (BPS). The study employed multiple linear regression analysis supported by classical assumption tests, along with hypothesis evaluation through t-tests, F-tests, and the coefficient of determination (R²). The findings reveal that, individually, minimum wage does not demonstrate a statistically significant relationship with open unemployment. In contrast, HDI shows a significant inverse relationship, while population growth is proven to significantly increase unemployment levels. When assessed collectively, all independent variables significantly influence the open unemployment rate. The model’s R-Squared value of 0.751215 suggests that 75.12% of fluctuations in unemployment are accounted for by the variables included in the model, whereas the remaining proportion is associated with external factors beyond this research scope. These results emphasize that labor quality improvement and population dynamics are key elements affecting unemployment, highlighting the importance of policy strategies that extend beyond wage regulation toward strengthening workforce capacity and expanding employment opportunities.

Abstract

This research aims to identify the actual effects of the public budget deficit on the trade balance, by focusing on the nature of the relationship between the two variables within the economic framework known as the twin deficit hypothesis through a study of the public budget in Iraq for the period 2004-2023. The research adopts financial and economic units of analysis represented by time series and percentages, and it also raises an important question: 'Can the impact of external balance fluctuations on the sustainability of the public budget be studied?' Based on this, the research presents several findings, the most important being the numerical aspects of public budgets in Iraq and the extent to which the trade balance is affected through multiple channels, notably the increase in effective aggregate demand and the resulting rise in foreign imports, in addition to the indirect effects of interest rates and the exchange rate. This reflects on the competitiveness of the Iraqi economy. Furthermore, the relationship between the public budget deficit and the external account deficit is a direct one, and in its simplest cases, a causal relationship is apparent. This necessitates, and the research recommends, the adoption of a highly capable fiscal policy, improving the efficiency of public expenditure, and diversifying sources of public revenue.

Abstract

This research seeks to assess the effect of investment and labor on economic growth in Banten. The independent variables in this study are investment and labor, while the dependent variable is economic growth, which is proxied by Regional Gross Domestic Product data based on constant prices. The research method used is a quantitative approach with multiple linear regression analysis. The data used is secondary data obtained from the Banten Province Central Statistics Agency (BPS) for the period 2012-2023. The findings reveal that both labor and investment have a positive impact on economic growth in Banten. This can be reflected in the increase of total investment realization in Banten, which reached approximately IDR 103.85 trillion in 2023, consisting of IDR 65.88 trillion from foreign direct investment and IDR 37.97 trillion from domestic investment. Alongside the rise in investment activity, Banten’s economic growth rate reached 4.81% in 2023, supported by the expansion of employment opportunities and productive economic sectors.
