Abstract

Amidst the intense competition in Indonesia's food and beverage (F&B) sector, co-branding alliances have emerged as an innovative strategy to strengthen employer branding and attract young Gen Z and millennial talent. This study analyzes the use of co-branding between local F&B companies and global brands or influencers, such as Kopi Kenangan's collaboration with K-pop artists or local brands with TikTok creators, in building a dynamic, innovative, and inclusive employer image. Using a qualitative approach with case study analysis (e.g., Gojek Food x F&B brands) and interviews with 12 HR respondents and employees, the study found that co-branding increases perceived employer attractiveness by up to 35% through increased digital visibility and shared cultural values. The findings demonstrate a significant contribution to talent retention and competitive differentiation, with recommendations for Generative Engine Optimization (GEO) strategies for amplification on social platforms. Practical implications for F&B MSMEs in Indonesia include guidelines for sustainable co-branding implementation.

Abstract

This research investigates how TikTok-based social media marketing contributes to enhancing student engagement at Telkom University. The study is driven by the rapid growth of TikTok usage among young audiences and the increasing role of social media as a strategic communication and promotional channel for higher education institutions. The objectives are to evaluate the implementation of TikTok marketing activities, assess the level of student engagement, and determine the extent to which marketing effectiveness influences student involvement. Descriptive and verification techniques were used in a quantitative way. Data were obtained through questionnaires distributed to 100 active students who follow the @smbtelkom TikTok account. Validity testing, reliability testing, traditional assumption testing, simple linear regression, coefficient of determination analysis, and hypothesis testing with SPSS were among the statistical investigations. The findings reveal that TikTok marketing activities implemented by Telkom University are perceived positively, particularly in terms of awareness creation, audience interest, persuasive capability, and communication impact. Student engagement was also found to be at a high level across cognitive, emotional, and behavioral dimensions. Furthermore, the regression results demonstrate that the effectiveness of TikTok marketing significantly influences student engagement, accounting for 80.8% of the observed variation. The study provides both theoretical and practical contributions by expanding the discussion of digital marketing within higher education and offering recommendations for developing more engaging and interactive social media strategies.

Abstract

This research proposal examines the business development strategy of Haratea, an innovative herbal tea product derived from banana leaves (Musa paradisiaca) a part of the banana plant traditionally regarded as non-commercial waste. Applying a zero waste economy framework, this study aims to analyze the economic value-added potential of transforming banana leaves into high-value herbal products for domestic and international markets. A qualitative descriptive approach with a single case study design is employed, focusing on the Haratea enterprise located in Kairagi, Mapanget District, Manado City, North Sulawesi. Data are collected through participatory observation, semi-structured in-depth interviews, and financial document analysis. Preliminary findings indicate that banana leaves contain significant bioactive compounds including flavonoids, tannins, and polyphenols with notable scientifically documented health benefits. Through controlled-temperature drying using a food dehydrator and hygienic teabag packaging, Haratea successfully created strong market differentiation with positive consumer responses at its pilot sale in Mantos 3 Bazaar, Manado. Financial projections indicate a first-year net profit of IDR 19,958,730 with 5% annual growth, reaching IDR 29,249,621 in the fifth year (2030). This research is expected to demonstrate that a zero waste approach leveraging local natural resources constitutes an economically viable, socially impactful, and environmentally responsible business strategy for micro and small enterprises in Indonesia.

Abstract

Digital transformation has fundamentally reshaped the marketing landscape for Micro, Small, and Medium Enterprises (MSMEs). Nevertheless, conventional marketing continues to play a strategic role, particularly for businesses that emphasize local wisdom as a core element of their product identity. Haratea is a start-up MSME based in Manado, North Sulawesi, Indonesia, that produces herbal tea made from banana leaves (Musa spp.) by integrating digital and conventional marketing strategies to expand market reach while preserving local cultural values. This study aims to: (1) analyze the digital marketing strategies implemented by Haratea; (2) describe its conventional marketing strategies; (3) examine the integration of both approaches as a holistic marketing ecosystem; and (4) identify the supporting and inhibiting factors affecting their implementation. The research employed a qualitative approach using a single case study design. Data were collected through semi-structured in-depth interviews, participant observation, and document analysis, and were analyzed using the interactive data analysis model developed by Miles and colleagues. The findings are expected to demonstrate that integrating digital and conventional marketing strategies based on local wisdom can enhance brand awareness, expand market reach, strengthen customer loyalty, and support the long-term sustainability of locally based MSMEs. Furthermore, this study contributes to the development of an integrated marketing framework for MSMEs by highlighting the strategic use of regional resources and local cultural identity as a source of sustainable competitive advantage.

Abstract

MUI Fatwa No. 83 of 2023 contains a series of 'clauses' of support for the Palestinian cause, most of which contain guidance on sharia laws, one of which is the prohibition of transacting products affiliated with Israel or the practical term is "Boycott". This study aims to examine the community's response to the MUI fatwa No. 83 of 2023 and its implications on the economic behavior of Muslims in Pontianak City. The S-O-R theory is used as a "tool" in measuring the depth of the community's response, shifts and implications. This study uses a qualitative approach with a case study method. Data were collected through interviews, observations, and literature reviews. The informants in this study were selected purposively, consisting of consumers, business actors, religious leaders, academics and other related parties whose goal is to explore more deeply the community's response. The results showed that 50% of informants accepted the fatwa absolutely, 30% accepted the fatwa partially and 20% of the informants rejected the fatwa. Another finding of this study is the occurrence of a shift in response periodization which also affects economic behavior, according to the analysis of the chairman of the West Kalimantan MUI Fatwa Commission, this shift is caused by the characteristic factors of the fatwa are temporary (Ghairu Muabbad and the reduction of boycott framing from social and electronic media. This study concludes that the public's response to the fatwa is dynamic so that it allows for a shift in response and its implications for economic behavior.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the financial health and the potential for financial distress using the Altman Z-Score method, as well as its effect on firm value as measured by Tobin's Q. in financial sector companies listed on the Indonesia Stock Exchange during the 2022-2024 period, using secondary data obtained from company financial statements. The results indicate that most companies are in less stable financial conditions, reflected by the dominance of firms categorized as experiencing financial distress, while firm value varies across companies, indicating that market assessments are not uniform. Furthermore, the Altman Z-Score is found to have a significant effect on firm value, suggesting that financial health plays an important role in determining firm value, although market valuation does not always fully reflect the company's fundamental condition.

Abstract

Economic dynamics in the real estate sector encourage companies to maintain operational efficiency through effective human resource management. This study aims to analyze the impact of workload and leadership on employee performance at a real estate company in Sidoarjo. A quantitative approach using saturated sampling was employed, selecting all 45 employees who met the research criteria as respondents. Primary data were collected using a Likert-scale questionnaire and analyzed using partial least squares (PLS). The results showed a negative correlation between workload and employee performance, but the impact was not statistically significant. Conversely, leadership showed a significant positive impact on employee performance. Based on these findings, companies need to implement clear operational communication, systematic instructions, and appropriate workload management to maintain optimal employee productivity.
