Abstract

Archives is a source of information and the collective memory of a nation. Through archives can be learned about the history of failures that have been experienced and accomplishments ever achieved by the nation, so it can be used as a reference for the future development of the nation. The National Archives of the Republic of Indonesia (ANRI) is mandated by Law No. 43 of 2009 on Records and Archives Administration to carry out the management of national archives received from state agencies, companies, political organizations, social organizations, and individuals. ANRI existence as archival institutions in an effort to manage the data factual history of the nation can be a therapeutic medium for rescue andpreservation of the national and international collective memory.The collection of archives in ANRI is a national asset and collective memory of the nation that has important historical value over administration of society, nation and state. With a number of great and variety of the collection of archives of course it becomes a strength and opportunity for ANRI to be authoritative archival institutions in the world. ANRI performance in managing archives as a source of knowledge and collective memory of nation can be used by the national and international community is strongly influenced by the model of archives management system implemented. For making ANRI as a world-class archival institutions affected by the performance of ANRI in the management of archives. Therefore, ANRI should make the strategy through implemented a comprehensive archival management system and integrated with strengthening policies, development of archives management system, improvement of archival resources and strengthening synergies.

Abstract

Every Public Agency shall establish PPID as the implementation of Law Number 14 of 2008 on Public Information Transparency. This study is to determine whether PPID is relevant when it is assumed by Archivists. Analyses will be performed by synchronizing tasks with duties of PPID, Archivists and archival management elements. Based on the analyses, the tasks of PPID are very consistent, even some of them are same with the tasks of Archivists. PPID and Archivists together perform creation, management, security tasks and information services. Thus it is very relevant when PPID is performed by Archivists to serve information transparency within Public Agency.

Abstract

Photograph archives are an important part in the collective memory which kept in archival institutions. These archives also have special format which arranged and described in another way than other forms of archives. The arrangement and description of photograph archives by functional context approach could increase the accessibility of users. This approach emphasized on main principles in archives management such as respect des fonds, provenance, and original order. The arrangement and description of photograph archives also is based on several international standards such as ISAD-G and Dublin Core Metadata Element Set. In the end, the access of photograph archives should be conducted via finding aids which correspond with the development of Information and Communication Technology so that users around the globe could easily access these archives.

Abstract

This research aims to analyze and describe the postmodernism in the archives. This is a descriptive qualitative research. Data collection used was literature. The technique of data analysis used was inductive analysis technique. The result showed important conclusions, namely: postmodernism archival thinking considers: 1) archives as a process rather than a product and shaping rather than documenting; 2) archival work on how represent the reality rather than keep the evidential accountability and how construct the nation collective memory rather than guard the government collective memory; 3) archivists as auditors rather than keepers and as constructors rather than guardians.

Abstract

Skandal Donner was the event of the taking down of Regents of Madiun, Raden Adipati Brotodiningrat, by the Resident of Madiun, J.J. Donner. It was full of intentionally issues and also with full of debate in the newspapers. The debate in the newspaper pioneered by Tirto Adhi Soerjo in Pembrita Betawi. This scandal appeared uncomfortable situation in the gouvernment of around Java especially East Java, Central Java, and West Java. The regents around Java were worry about their legitimation. Their worry about their legitimation were being demoted as same as Raden Adipati Brotodiningrat. The news about Raden Adipati Brotodiningrat were separated by two sides. One side supported J.J. Donner and the other sides supported Raden Adipati Brotodiningrat. Most of the newspapers which supported J.J. Donner was from Nederlands Newspapers such as De Locomotief and the most newspapers which supported Raden Adipati Brotodiningrat was from indigenous people. archival publication are two kinds of findings aids which have different forms dan function. Nevertheless, users still don’t know the function and how to use guides and archival publication even archivist still not yet understand the different between among those. Political movement is social movement in political aspect. A political movement can organize by individual issues or a lot of issues or one set of concern with social group. A political movement has a goal to ensure citizen and/or civil servants to take an action. A political movement can be local, regional, national, or international. Some of them has to chance about policy such as anti-war movement, ecology movement, and anti-globalizationmovement. A political movement can also to centralize or decentralize nation control, such as anarchism, facism, and nazism. The political movement of archives is one of political movement. The political movement of archives is being pioneered by Tirto Adhi Soerjo which called Skandal Donner.

Abstract

This paper is focused on the description of the closed-access archive, particulary the one refers to the G 30 S / (PKI). Although, the policy to access certain archive have been endorsed for public, the grant to access the G 30 S / (PKI) is however still kept cryptic and restricted. The method used for this paper is literaure data collection, supported by interview. The results conclude that, since the G 30 S / (PKI) archives are classified as the repression archive and scrutinized by the grindle framework, the implementation gap of the access policy is morelikely originated from social-politics matter of contention than legal formal perspective

Abstract

Long Distance Learning has a unique system in its process, that is, the distance between the students and their lecturers. In order to master study materials, a media is required as a tool for students. Books materials or modules are primary tools for students learning. Furthermore, there are other learning materials for students such as printing materials in digital formats that contain audio-video, dry lab, interactive videos programs, TV and radio features. For universities, long distance learning for diploma program is quite difficult since the program requires students to master vocational skills that relate to the program study. The curriculum standard has to be 60% for practice and 40% for theories. Of course, this requires universities to push students to do practice more than learning theories. Similarly, the standard of Indonesian National Qualification Network (KKNI-Kerangka Kualifikasi Nasional Indonesia) expects students who graduate from Level 6 of Diploma IV shall have the capacity to arrange plans, innovations as well as evaluation of their own vocational skills. Modules of Active Records Management discuss on Records Management which is on the practice basis. From the research conducted, there are 9 (nine) modules of Active Records Management modules which are still not on the practice basis, they are modules 3,4,5,6,7,8,9. In order to design a module profile on the practice basis, the research mainly focuses on modules 6 and 9. This qualitative research is conducted with a combination of modules studies by records and archives experts to see the materials’ quality and practice competency. Moreover, instructional designers also review the modules for its learning designs. The research is expected to achieve high quality and appropriate modules to meet the requirement of diploma and distance learning programs. The objective of this research is to describe records management modules as one of the modules which are practice basis and to identify the level of understanding of diploma program students at long distance learning universities. The target is the construction of A Learning Model on Practice Basis for Diploma Program at Long Distance Universities.
