The phenomenon of commodification of religious leaders one example of how the television industry to enter the realm that had so "sacred" Muslim community. Makalah ini ditulis dimaksudkan untuk menjawab apakah iklan produk kecantikan busa pemutih dan Ponds Body Lotion sebagai bentuk komunikasi yang penuh makna, juga menggambarkan bentuk dan fungsi dari iklan produk facial foam dan body lotion di televisi, dan bagaimana perempuan Islam mendefinisikan konsep cantik. Data dalam kajian ini diambil dari ucapan model dan narator iklan dalam iklan produk facial foam dan body lotion di televisi. Bentuk dan fungsi makna dalam iklan produk facial foam dan body lotion di televisi digambarkan melalui ide, bahasa iklan, dan tujuan. Cantik dalam iklan itu adalah perempuan yang memiliki kulit putih dan menggunakan berbagai produk moisturizer wajah, pembersih wajah, moisturizer dan tubuh rata sampai soal kaki putih. Perusahaan membangun citra bagi kehidupan konsumen perempuan melalui ukuran-ukuran fisik. Televisi melalui iklan produk Ponds memperlakukannya sebagai komoditas, dan berfungsi sebagai sebuah institusi komersial yang mendukung ide utama dari kapitalisme (menjual segala macam produk Ponds) untuk mengkoseptualisasi produksi dan reproduksi. Fungsi iklan ponds yang berkontribusi terhadap masyarakat untuk menyebarkan ide bahwa perempuan yang hitam atau coklat gelap sangat membutuhkan produk Ponds untuk menjadi cantik dan dalam hal ini, televisi memainkan peran utama dalam distorsi fakta-fakta dalam rangka untuk membuat konsumen tertarik kepada iklan Ponds.

Modern information technology has changed a lot of things in the current social of life, no exception public religious life. The model further islamic science transmission is strongly influenced by the development of information technology and communication. During the preparatory phase of manuscripts, printing stage and phase television and computer exhibiting a different about the image of Ulama and da’i. The da’i and Ulama who promoted by media seem challenging and shift authority traditional Ulama. The emergence of da’i-selebrity is consequence of strong domination of television .The ability of television change reality become hiperreality bring up a new culture that Baudrillard called as Simulational culture. In the field of religious, simulation culture it bore new religious authority , namely da’i-celebrity who usually invoked ustadh. The arrival of new religious authority by television production is challenging religious authority old and given to talking about Islam in the public. Ulama which were determined by it’s mastery over the sciences of classical subjects now melting with with young da’i, fresh , and in new produced and reproductive by the television media. No more the boundary between real ulama and hyperreal ulama who produced by television.

In the islamic world, the information technology, not only has led of the way fellow muslim communicate, but also how they receive local culture and the culture the world differently. Of course, it bearing the good and bad, because indirectly the internet has reduce the world “real” be the “virtual” world or known by cyberspace. There are many the website based ideology religion, who most of them supply the knowledge and experience religious, even in a particular approach until at the level of propoganda ideology militants and anti-deviate movement. Journalism pesantren could be an alternative movements and cultural that appears in various media to strengthen civil society besides becoming chan-nel activity to spreading ideas and progam-progam pesantren. Jagad maya (cyberspace) menjadi ruang baru bagi suatu identitas diri masyarakat di era digital.Interaksi sosial manusia di dalam ranah ini telah menghasilkan budaya baru yang disebut budaya siber (cyberculture). Budaya internet, budaya online, budaya siber, dan budaya maya adalah deskripsi diri yang kini melekat dalam arena pergaulan sosial manusia modern. Ruang publik (public sphere) yang bergantung pada koneksi internet ini pada perkembangannya berjalan superkilat dan menjadi arena pertarungan di dalamnya. Ideologi, konsumerisme, kekuasaan, gaya hidup, hingga belanja “bertempur” di dunia maya ini. Budaya yang muncul di dunia maya menjadi arena dominasi para pemilik modal. Dunia internet yang superbebas merupakan jalan siapa saja untuk mengegolkan kepentingan-kepentingannya. Bahkan, karena saking longgarnya, media cyber ini juga menjadi sarana yang efektif untuk melakukan perlawanan terhadap budaya dominan tersebut.
