Abstract

Patient satisfaction is an important indicator of the quality of health care service including pharmaceutical services. Currently, patients are dissatisfied with prescription pharmaceutical service in pharmacies, so that marketing strategy efforts must confront to increase patient satisfaction. However, previous studies still used a general marketing mix (4P) concept there was no research related to the pharmaceutical industry about the development of marketing mix into 7P and there has been no study that discussed Influence between factors in 7P because previous studies only used the correlation observational design seeking for relationship between two or more variables. The current research was conducted to investigate the influence of Extended Pharmaceutical Marketing Mix (product, price, place, promotion, pharmacist, process and physical evidence) on customer satisfaction at pharmacies in Jember. The study has been a practical Developed Cross-sectional, realized in 9 pharmacies and through structured questionnaires answered by 405 consumers of it results were carried out a SPC PLS 4.0 analysis. Results indicated that the relationship between the dimensions of EPMix and Patient Satisfaction were positive and significant (T-Statistic > 1.96, P-value < 0.05). In addition, there were significant associations between some marketing mix factors (Product–price; Promotion–price; Professional personnel–service process and Service process-product). The drug price has the largest satisfaction impact (0.206 Coefficient, T-Statistic = 3.895, P-value = 0) and the environment had the smallest (0.122 Coefficient T-Statistic = 2.12 P-value = 0.034). Finally, the pharmaceutical marketing mix service quality and pricing could enhance patient satisfaction. Pharmacies are encouraged to increase their price transparency and to support the optimization of service processes, particularly involving patients and pharmacists to raise customer trust and loyalty.

Abstract

Anemia is a public health problem that still has a high prevalence, especially among adolescents. According to WHO data, approximately 25% of adolescents worldwide experience anemia caused by iron deficiency. Adolescents are an age group that is vulnerable to anemia because they experience accelerated growth and menstruation, so they need nutritional intake containing iron. One of the challenges in treating anemia is identifying the right cause to determine iron deficiency. One of the laboratory examinations needed to establish an accurate diagnosis is TIBC (Total Iron Binding Capacity ), which measures the capacity of blood to bind iron through transferrin. This study aims to describe nutritional status, hemoglobin levels, and TIBC levels. This type of research is analytically descriptive. A cross-sectional observational research methodology is employed. 76 female adolescents from SMK Baitul Hikmah made up the study's population. Total sampling was the method employed, and it was based on the screening findings, which included female adolescents. The study's findings outline measurements of TIBC, hemoglobin, and BMI. There are 66.7% underweight adolescents, 9.5% have anemia, and 28.5% have abnormal TIBC levels. The study concluded that examining nutritional status, hemoglobin levels, and Total Iron Binding Capacity (TIBC) is important in assessing individuals' health, especially in malnutrition and anemia. Continuous monitoring and other examinations are needed to support the diagnosis of adolescents who experience anemia.

Abstract

Chronic Kidney Disease (CKD) is one of the mayor health problems in the worldwide. The incidence of CKD continously increase every year, including in Indonesia. Hemodialysis (HD) is the most widely used process of kidney function replacement in Indonesia, including in RSUD Cilacap. This research aim is to study the quality of life (QoL) of CKD patients undergo hemodialysis in RSUD Cilacap using analytic observational design with cross sectional approach. The sampling was carried out using purposive sampling technique. The quality of life of patients was assessed based on WHOQoL-BREF questionnaire consisting of 4 domains i.e., physical, psychological, social relationships, and environment. Other aspects i.e., the CKD causes and therapy adherence were also analyzed. This research employs a descriptive design. The study conducted was univariate to ascertain the distribution of respondent characteristics, which was utilized to evaluate the variance in the quality of life domain among haemodialysis patients. Result showed that hypertension was the main causes of CKD at RSUD Cilacap (59%) beside diabetic mellitus (17%). Before HD, the blood pressure of all patients were in stage 1 hypertension condition with systole: 148.67±29.24 mmHg and dyastole: 80.10±5.47 mmHg. Result of WHOQoL-BREF questionnaire analyses, showed that none of the four domains meet the criteria of good QoL. Generally, based on this data, it can be said that the QoL of CKD patients at RSUD Cilacap were poor categories with score for all domains and a total score (48.96±7.95) below the normal rate. Therapy of hypertension condition of patients before HD with furosemide alone, furosemide+clonidine, and or furosemide+valsartan, could maintain the blood pressure of patients in target value i.e, <140/90 mmHg. Based on those data, it can be concluded that compliance of the patients are important in the improving of QoL of CKD patients who undergo HD in RSUD Cilacap..

Abstract

Type II diabetes mellitus is one of the non-communicable diseases with a continuously increasing prevalence, significantly impacting quality of life and healthcare costs. The demographic transition in Indonesia, which has shifted from a developing population to an industrial society, has brought new tendencies within the community. The disease pattern, which was previously dominated by infectious diseases, is now dominated by non-communicable diseases, including diabetes mellitus. This study aims to analyze the relationship between physical activity and blood sugar levels in patients with type 2 diabetes mellitus within the working area of the Dau Public Health Center in Malang Regency. This study employs a quantitative research type with a correlational analytic design using a cross-sectional data collection method. The sample in this study consisted of 51 respondents selected through purposive sampling based on inclusion criteria, and data were collected using the Global Physical Activity Questionnaire (GPAQ) and observations of blood sugar level examinations using a glucometer. The study results showed that the majority of respondents had low physical activity levels, with 21 respondents (41.2%), and high blood sugar levels, with 28 respondents (54.9%). Bivariate analysis using the Spearman Rank test produced a strong negative correlation value (r = -0.747), indicating that the higher the physical activity, the lower the blood sugar levels. The relationship between these two variables was found to be significant, with a p-value (0.01) < α (0.05). Thus, it can be concluded that there is a relationship between physical activity and blood sugar levels in patients with type II diabetes mellitus. These findings are expected to serve as a reference for health promotion programs, especially in managing the physical activity of DM patients to control their blood sugar levels.

Abstract

Antioxidants play an important role in human life. Many studies have been conducted to discover the potential of antioxidants sourced from nature. Several methods can be used to test antioxidants. These methods include FRAP, ABTS, and DPPH. All three methods are widely used because they are stable and relatively easy to use. Several studies on TAC (Total Antioxidant Capacity) have reported different results regarding antioxidant testing using different methods on the same material. This study aims to test the ethyl acetate and water fractions of butterfly pea flower extract using the DPPH and FRAP methods and to compare the results with the findings of previous researchers who tested using the ABTS method. The research method began with the extraction of butterfly pea flowers using 70% ethanol solvent, followed by a total phenolic test using the Folin Ciocalteu method. Next, fractionation was carried out, and the ethyl acetate and water fractions were then tested for antioxidant activity using the DPPH method, while FRAP was performed for the ethyl acetate fraction. Quercetin was used as a reference standard. The results of the antioxidant activity test of butterfly pea flowers using the DPPH method showed an IC50 value of 27.63 ppm ±4.11 in the ethyl acetate fraction and 54.70 ppm ±2.22 in the water fraction, while the IC50 in the FRAP method was 97.47 ppm ±3.2 in the ethyl acetate fraction. DPPH and ABTS did not show significant differences in the antioxidant activity test results, but showed different results in FRAP.

Abstract

Cyberbullying can occur in all circles, especially among teenagers, as it often starts as a joke but continues and becomes behavior that is considered normal by the perpetrator. However, if left unchecked, it can impact on the psychological well-being of the teenage victims. The negative impact expressed in negative emotions such as stress, sadness, anger, frustration, shame, loneliness, fear, depression, a desire for revenge, and thoughts of suicide. Therefore, efforts are needed to address the impact of cyberbullying by enhancing adolescents' competencies through self-acceptance, which is a protective factor needed by adolescents. Objective: to determine the effect of self-acceptance on the psychological well-being of adolescents who experience cyberbullying. Research method: using a descriptive analytical research design with a cross-sectional approach. The data obtained were then grouped using tables according to their characteristics and categories using SEMPLS to illustrate the reflective indicators of the variables and to depict the influence of the two variables of self-acceptance on psychological well-being. Results: The self-acceptance of adolescents has the ability to choose situations in the high category, with 23 individuals (46%), the ability to spread attention in the moderate category, with 29 individuals (58%), and the ability to change thoughts in the high category, with 24 individuals (48%). The psychological well-being of adolescents is formed from happiness, with most being in the moderate category, namely 26 people (52%), while in the aspect of life satisfaction, most are also in the moderate category, namely 24 people (48%). The influence of (X) self-acceptance -> (Y1) psychological well-being produces a T statistic value of >1.96 and a p-value <0.05. This means there is a significant influence. Conclusion: good self-acceptance in adolescents can enhance psychological well-being

Abstract

Postoperative nausea and vomiting (PONV) or post-operative nausea and vomiting is a side effect that often occurs after anesthesia, occurring in the first 24 hours after surgery and occurs in 30% and reaches 80% in the high-risk group. Many factors cause PONV, including patient age, gender, smoking history, and history of motion sickness; from anesthesia, namely the use of opioids, volatile anesthetic agents such as sevoflurane and from surgery, namely the duration of surgery and type of surgery. The aim of this study was to determine the relationship between the use of sevoflurane inhalation anesthesia and the incidence of post-operative nausea and vomiting in post-general anesthesia patients at Karangasem District Hospital. This research methodology uses quantitative research with this type of research being correlative analytical research with a cross-sectional research design. The output of this research is that anesthetists can think critically about the risk of complications from using sevoflurane inhalation anesthesia in patients with general anesthesia, including post-operative nausea and vomiting, which is a problem in anesthesia nursing care so that it can be overcome. The results of this study showed that the majority of respondents with sevoflurane inhalation anesthesia duration > 30 minutes were 46 (59.7%), and the majority of respondents experienced PONV incidents, namely 41 (53.2%). Chi-Square Test Results (p) 0.000 where the value (p) is smaller than 0.05 so it can be interpreted that there is a relationship between the use of sevoflurane inhalation anesthesia and the incidence of Post Operative Nausea and Vomiting (PONV) in patients after general anesthesia at Karangasem District Hospital. This study shows that there is a relationship between the use of sevoflurane inhalation anesthesia and the incidence of Post Operative Nausea and Vomiting (PONV) in patients after general anesthesia at Karangasem District Hospital.

Abstract

Breast cancer poses not only physical but also complex psychosocial and spiritual challenges. The fulfillment of psychosocial and spiritual needs largely depends on family involvement as the primary caregivers. This study aimed to analyze the determinant factors affecting the family's ability to meet these needs. A descriptive-analytic design with a cross-sectional approach was used, involving 120 family caregivers at RS Tk. III Baladhika Husada Jember. Data were collected using a Likert-scale questionnaire and analyzed using ordinal regression. The results showed that most families provided psychosocial and spiritual support at a moderate level (80.8%). The Pseudo R-Square analysis produced a Nagelkerke value of 1.000, indicating that all independent variables fully explained the variation in the dependent variable. Although no single factor was found to be dominant, all variables had a significant simultaneous influence. These findings highlight the need for holistic and family-based interventions to enhance psychosocial and spiritual support for breast cancer patients.
