Abstract

Abstract

This study aims to improve the creativity skills of early childhood group B using polymer clay media. The type of research used is Classroom Action Research. The research model adopted follows the Classroom Action Research model by Kemmis and McTaggart, which begins with planning, action, observation, and reflection, so this reflection is used to redesign the framework for problem-solving. The subjects of this study consist of 18 individuals, specifically children in group B at SPS TAAM Al-Maarij, Kawalu District, Tasikmalaya City, totaling 17 children, comprising 6 boys and 11 girls, alongside 1 group B teacher. The object of this research is to enhance students' creativity skills through the use of polymer clay media. Data collection was conducted through observation, interviews, and documentation. At the time of the preliminary action, the percentage of children's creativity ability was 40%, which then increased in cycle I action 1 to 56.46%, in the implementation of cycle I action 2 it increased again to 68.23%, and in the implementation of cycle 2 action 1 it increased again to 74.114%, ending in cycle 2 action 2, which experienced a significant increase to 85.86%. Thus, it can be concluded that polymer clay media can enhance the creativity ability of children in group B at SPS TAAM Al-Maarij Kawalu District, Tasikmalaya City.

Abstract

This study was motivated by the low entrepreneurial character of children aged 5–6 years at TK Puspagiri, as reflected in their limited creativity, independence, responsibility, cooperation, and self-confidence. These conditions were caused by less optimal learning methods and the lack of active roles from teachers and parents in instilling entrepreneurial values. The study aimed to examine the planning, implementation, and outcomes of the Market Day activity in fostering entrepreneurial character in early childhood. The research employed Classroom Action Research (CAR) using the Kemmis and McTaggart model conducted in three cycles, with 10 children from group B1 as subjects. Data were collected through observation and documentation. The findings indicated that Market Day significantly improved entrepreneurial indicators: children became more creative in decorating products, independent in managing roles, responsible for their merchandise, cooperative, and confident in social interactions. In conclusion, Market Day proved to be an effective contextual method, and further studies may integrate it with environmental-based entrepreneurship or simple digitalization to enrich children’s learning experiences

Abstract

This study aims to improve early childhood understanding of sexual education through the use of illustrated story media at KOBER Ar Rahmah. The method used is Classroom Action Research (CAR) based on the Kemmis and McTaggart model, carried out in two cycles. Each cycle consists of planning, action, observation, and reflection stages. The research subjects totaled 28 individuals, including 1 head administrator, 1 assistant teacher, 13 parents, and 13 children aged 2–4 years. Data collection techniques included observation, interviews, documentation, and assessment of children’s learning outcomes. The research findings indicate that illustrated story media effectively enhances children’s understanding of early sexual education aspects, such as recognizing gender differences, identifying private body parts and boundaries (aurat), understanding the concept of safe and unsafe touch, maintaining personal hygiene, and selecting appropriate viewing content. In the pre-observation phase, most children were categorized as Not Yet Emerged. After two implementation cycles, all children showed progress, reaching the Emerged category with an average score of 2.0 or a 100% rate. This media has proven to be effective and enjoyable in increasing young children's understanding of early sexual education. It also enables teachers and parents to introduce sensitive topics in a natural, engaging, and developmentally appropriate manner.

Abstract

The purpose of this article is to explain the importance of introducing social justice values in Early Childhood Education. Indonesia is a multicultural country, so social justice values are crucial to introduce from an early age. Social justice is a practice that does not silence diversity and differences. In learning practices in Early Childhood Education, the issue of social justice is still taboo. However, through a literature review approach and critical analysis, this article finds that social justice education can shape children into caring, tolerant, and just individuals from an early age. Children can maintain their cultural, racial, and ethnic differences. Strategies that can be used include the use of an inclusive curriculum, collaborative learning methods, and teacher training that is sensitive to social issues.

Abstract

The development of social-emotional intelligence in early childhood is a vital foundation for shaping a child’s character and personality in the future. Children with social-emotional intelligence are able to recognize and manage their emotions, build positive relationship with others, and demonstrate emphaty and social responsibility. In the context of Islamic Eraly Childhood Education (PIAUD), an Islamic approach can serve as a strong basis for nurturing social-emotional values from an early age. This article discusses how Islamic values are integrated into learning activities in early childhood eduvcation institutions. Teachings of Islam- such as compassion, emphaty, patience, and helping others-are implemented in various learning activities in PIAUD institutions. This research employs a qualitative approach using a library-based case study method as the primary rechnique. The results show that the Islamic approach not only supports the development of children’s social-emotional skills but also strengthens the formation of noble character from an early age. This article is expected to serve as a reference for teacher and prospective educators in designing learning that supports the holistic development of childen’s social-emotional competencies based on Islamics values.
