Abstract

This study aims to describe the steps, strengths, and weaknesses of implementing the Natural Approach in language learning at Madrasah Tsanawiyah 7 Klaten . This research uses a qualitative approach. The subjects of the study were language teachers at the two madrasahs. Data were collected through interviews, observation, and documentation. The findings of the study are as follows: (1) The steps of the Natural Approach model include: apperception, where students express their knowledge about pronunciation, tone, stress, and intonation; exploration, where the teacher presents learning objectives; elaboration, where students are given examples of material and then explore and discuss them in groups. Each group presents their discussion results to the class while the teacher provides feedback to measure understanding; clarification, where the teacher explains the purpose of the lesson and group tasks. A class discussion is then held to validate the learning process results; and closure, where the teacher and students summarize the difficult or unclear points together, and the teacher reflects and asks about students’ challenges during the learning process. (2) The advantages of the Natural Approach are that it enables faster acquisition of the target language due to its focus on communication and meaning rather than grammar, creates a more relaxed and low-pressure learning environment that reduces students’ anxiety, and is highly suitable and effective due to its natural and communicative approach. (3) The disadvantages are that it does not focus on specific material since it is carried out through a variety of activities, it requires a relatively long time to achieve optimal results which often leads to time constraints, and it lacks explicit attention to grammar, which may hinder advanced language learning. In conclusion, the Natural Approach can be effectively applied in the learning process as an effort to improve speaking skills at the madrasah level.

Abstract

Pada hakikatnya manusia yang hidup di dunia ini membutuhkan pendidikan. Pendidikan di Indonesia sering kali dihadapkan dengan problematika yang berat. Salah satunya adalah kurang konsentrasi pada saat belajar mengajar. terdapat berbagai macam jenis dan cara agar membuat siswa menjadi bersemanagat dan berkonsentrasi ketika di dalam kelas, salah satu contohnya yaitu Ice Breaking yang mana cara ini bisa menjadi cara ketika di dalam kelas mendapatkan masalah siswa yang kurang berkonsentrasi, serta mengantuk ketika sedang proses belajar. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui konsep Ice Breaking dalam meningkatkan daya konsentrasi belajar siswa perspektif Sunarto. pendekatan peneitian yang digunakan adalah kualitatif deskriptif, penelitian ini merupakan penelitian deskriptif. Metode yang digunakan untuk menganalisis data adalah Content analysis, yaitu mengeksplorasi pendangan para ahli dan Sunarto terhadap Konsep Ice Breaking dalam meningkatkan daya konsentrasi belajar siswa. Hasil dari penelitian ini adalah menurut Perspektif Sunarto konsep Ice Breaking dalam meningkatkan daya konsentrasi blajar siswa, itu bisa digunakan oleh guru ketika mengajar dan mengalami masalah siswa yang kurang berkonsentrasi. Karena tujuan guru bukan hanya sekedar menyampaikan materi saja melainkan agar siswa dapat menikmati dan berkonsentrasi disaat materi yang disampaikan

Abstract

The role of the Regional Education Office Branch Office XIII of West Java Province has an important role in facilitating and supervising the implementation of online PPDB in its region. By understanding this role, it is expected that there will be recommendations that can be given to improve the effectiveness and efficiency of the online-based PPDB system in the future. this study aims to analyse the impact of online PPDB implementation on the quality of education in the region. By examining this impact, it is expected to know the extent to which this system contributes to improving access to education for students and increasing transparency and accountability in the admission process.

Abstract

This study aims to create an ethnomathematics-based learning media product using Kodular software. The 4D development paradigm used in this study consists of the following stages: definition, design, development, and dissemination. This study was conducted in class X TSM 1 SMK Al Huda Bumiayu. Questionnaires, interviews, and observations were the methods used to collect data. Media validation questionnaires, material validation questionnaires, and student response questionnaires (practicality) were the tools used in this study. Practicality and product validity tests were used as data analysis methods. According to the research findings, the practicality test using the student response questionnaire produced a percentage of 90.0% with a very practical category, the validation test on the media or construct showed a final percentage of 98% with a very valid category, and the validation test on the content or material obtained a final percentage of 94% with a very valid category. Thus, it can be said that the creation of Kodular-based learning materials is valid and practical. Based on the research, students' understanding of mathematical concepts can be supported and the learning process is assisted by this Kodular-based learning resource.

Abstract

This study aims to develop a product in the form of learning media based on Mit App Inventor and to determine its role in strengthening students' learning interest. This study uses a 4D development model which includes several stages, namely the Define, Design, Development, Dissemination stages. This research was conducted at SMK Muhammadiyah 1 Ajibarang with a population of class XI and the sample used was 30 students of class XI AK 4. Data collection techniques used in this study were observation, interviews, questionnaires (questionnaires). Data analysis techniques used in this study were product validity and product practicality testing. The results of the study showed that the Mit App Inventor learning media developed obtained the eligibility criteria after passing the validation test stage by experts in the form of a media validation test by obtaining a percentage of 97% with a very valid category, and the material validation test obtained a percentage of 93% with a very valid category and in the practicality test with a student response questionnaire obtained a percentage of 87.4% with a very practical category.

Abstract

This research is motivated by the fact that poverty is often used as a form of literary appreciation of the surrounding life told in novels. Poverty is a phenomenal problem throughout the history of a country. The problem of poverty has recently reappeared as a reaction to the fact that economic progress has not resulted in social inequality both at the world and national levels. This study aims to describe the forms of poverty in the novel Dompet Ayah Sepatu Ibu by JS. Khairen studies: Sociology of Literature. This research is a type of library research while the research method used is descriptive qualitative method. Data collection techniques through documentation techniques with the method of listening, reading and recording. While the data analysis in this study was carried out in several steps, namely data redaction, data exposure and conclusion drawing. Based on the data analysis that has been done, the results of this study are that there are 4 forms of poverty found in the novel based on Chambers' theory, namely absolute poverty, relative poverty, cultural poverty and structural poverty. Penelitian ini di latar belakangi oleh seringnya kemiskinan dijadikan sebagai bentuk penghayatan sastrawan terhadap kehidupan sekelilingnya yang diceritakan dalam novel. Kemiskinan adalah masalah fenomenal sepanjang sejarah suatu negara. Masalah kemiskinan akhir-akhir ini muncul kembali sebagai suatu reaksi atas kenyataan bahwa kemajuan perekonomian yang tidak berimbas menimbulkan kesenjangan sosial baik di tingkat dunia maupun di tingkat nasional. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mendeskripsikan bentuk-bentuk kemiskinan dalam novel Dompet Ayah Sepatu Ibu karya JS. Khairen kajian: Sosiologi Sastra. Penelitian ini termasuk jenis penelitian kepustakaan sedangkan metode penelitian yang digunakan yaitu metode deskriptif kualitatif. Teknik pengumpulan data melalui teknik dokumentasi dengan metode simak, baca dan catat. Sedangkan analisis data dalam penelitian ini dilakukan beberapa langkah yaitu redaksi data, paparan data dan penarikan kesimpulan. Berdasarkan analisis data yang telah dilakukan, hasil penelitian ini yaitu terdapat 4 bentuk kemiskinan yang ditemukan dalam novel berdasarkan teori Chambers yaitu kemiskinan absolut, kemiskinan relatif, kemiskinan kultural dan kemiskinan struktural.

Abstract

This research aims to develop a web-based application, "Petasah", designed to improve the efficiency and effectiveness of asset management at SMA Negeri 1 Kelapa Kampit. The previous asset management system, which still relied on manual methods, was considered inefficient due to challenges such as data entry errors, slow asset tracking, and time-consuming reporting. The application utilizes QR Code technology for real-time asset tracking, facilitating asset recording and status monitoring. Through testing and evaluation, the "Petasah" application was found to enhance speed, accuracy, and transparency in asset management. The study also identified the need to integrate the application with other systems, such as the school’s financial system, to increase overall efficiency. The implementation of this application is expected to be applied in other schools, providing an efficient solution for asset management and facilitating faster, data-driven decision-making.

Abstract

Snack foods, consumed between main meals, should be nutritious and of high quality. Processed products like otak-otak (a steamed fish cake) are a popular choice. Tamban fish and pumpkin flour are local ingredients rich in protein, carbohydrates, calcium, and iron, making them suitable for use in otak-otak. This study aimed to determine the sensory (organoleptic) and proximate chemical quality, as well as the calcium and iron content, of the developed otak-otak product. The research used a Completely Randomized Design (CRD) with three treatments and two replications. The treatments were as follows: A: 185g tamban fish + 60g pumpkin flour, B: 190g tamban fish + 65g pumpkin flour, C: 195g tamban fish + 55g pumpkin flour. Sensory quality was analyzed using the Kruskal-Walli’s test, while chemical quality was analyzed in a laboratory. The results showed that otak-otak B, with 190g of tamban fish and 65g of pumpkin flour, was the most preferred treatment. Its sensory test values were color (4.50), texture (4.36), taste (3.88), and aroma (3.74). The chemical analysis of this sample yielded the following values: ash content (1.47%), water content (61.74%), protein (9.3%), fat (14.3%), carbohydrates (25.8%), calcium (65.1%), and iron (2.18%). Based on the sensory and chemical analyses, treatment B was the most recommended by the panelists in terms of color, texture, aroma, taste, and overall chemical quality. Makanan ringan yang dikonsumsi di antara waktu makan utama sebaiknya bernutrisi dan berkualitas tinggi. Produk olahan seperti otak-otak merupakan pilihan yang populer. Ikan tamban dan tepung labu kuning adalah bahan lokal yang kaya akan protein, karbohidrat, kalsium, dan zat besi, sehingga sesuai untuk digunakan dalam pembuatan otak-otak. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui kualitas sensori (organoleptik) dan kimia proksimat, serta kandungan kalsium dan zat besi dari produk otak-otak yang dikembangkan. Penelitian menggunakan Rancangan Acak Lengkap (RAL) dengan tiga perlakuan dan dua ulangan. Perlakuan tersebut adalah: A: 185 g ikan tamban + 60 g tepung labu kuning, B: 190 g ikan tamban + 65 g tepung labu kuning, C: 195 g ikan tamban + 55 g tepung labu kuning. Kualitas sensori dianalisis menggunakan uji Kruskal-Wallis, sedangkan kualitas kimia dianalisis di laboratorium. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa otak-otak B, dengan komposisi 190 g ikan tamban dan 65 g tepung labu kuning, merupakan perlakuan yang paling disukai. Nilai uji sensori perlakuan ini adalah warna (4,50), tekstur (4,36), rasa (3,88), dan aroma (3,74). Analisis kimia sampel ini menghasilkan nilai kadar abu (1,47%), kadar air (61,74%), protein (9,3%), lemak (14,3%), karbohidrat (25,8%), kalsium (65,1%), dan zat besi (2,18%). Berdasarkan analisis sensori dan kimia, perlakuan B adalah yang paling direkomendasikan oleh panelis dalam hal warna, tekstur, aroma, rasa, dan kualitas kimia secara keseluruhan.

Abstract

This Classroom Action Research (CAR) was conducted at Xaverius High School Bukittinggi with the subjects of class X E1 students in the odd semester of the 2023/2024 academic year. The problem of this research stems from the low learning outcomes of students in the subject of Islamic Religious Education, especially the material Competing in Goodness and Work Ethics. Of the 32 students, only 40% achieved KKTP 75. Therefore, the researcher applied a group discussion learning model to improve student learning outcomes. The research was conducted in two cycles. Each cycle includes the stages of planning, implementation, observation, and reflection. The results of the study showed an increase in the average student score from 58.75 in the pre-cycle to 68.75 in the first cycle, and increased again to 84.37 in the second cycle. Learning completeness increased from 40% in the pre-cycle, 68% in the first cycle, to 84% in the second cycle. Thus, the application of the group discussion learning model is proven to improve student learning outcomes in the subject of Islamic Religious Education in the class of Xaverius High School Bukittinggi.

Abstract

Noodles are one of the most popular wheat flour-based processed foods. Tilapia is a source of animal protein rich in iron, while Japanese papaya leaves contain high levels of calcium and iron and can be used as a natural green coloring in food, making both potential ingredients for functional food products. This study aimed to determine the effect of varying additions of tilapia flour and Japanese papaya leaf flour on the physical quality—including color, aroma, texture, and taste—as well as the chemical quality, including ash content, moisture content, calcium, protein, and iron levels of mie mujaya. This research was experimental in nature, using a Completely Randomized Design (CRD) with three (3) treatments and two (2) replications: treatment A (25 g tilapia flour + 5 g papaya leaf flour), treatment B (30 g tilapia flour + 7 g papaya leaf flour), and treatment C (35 g tilapia flour + 9 g papaya leaf flour). The organoleptic test results showed that the most preferred mie mujaya was treatment C, with mean scores of 4.57 for color, 4.54 for texture, 4.53 for taste, and 4.59 for aroma, categorized as “extremely like.” It produced a slightly dark green color, chewy texture, savory taste derived from tilapia protein, and a distinctive tilapia aroma. The nutritional content analysis per 100 g of mie mujaya showed an ash content of 1.40%, moisture content of 71.79%, calcium of 156.71 mg, protein of 6.26%, and iron of 2.10 mg. Mie merupakan salah satu makanan olahan berbasis tepung terigu yang digemari masyarakat luas. Ikan mujair merupakan sumber protein hewani yang kaya zat besi, sedangkan daun pepaya Jepang mengandung kalsium dan zat besi yang tinggi dan dapat dijadikan pewarna hijau alami pada makanan, sehingga keduanya berpotensi sebagai bahan pangan fungsional. Tujuan penelitian untuk mengetahui pengaruh variasi penambahan tepung ikan mujair dan tepung daun pepaya Jepang terhadap mutu fisik meliputi warna, aroma, tekstur, dan rasa serta mutu kimia kadar abu, kadar air, kalsium, protein, dan zat besi mie mujaya. Penelitian ini bersifat eksperimental dengan menggunakan Rancangan Acak Lengkap (RAL) dengan 3 (tiga) perlakuan dan 2 (dua) kali pengulangan, yaitu: perlakuan A (25 gr tepung ikan mujair + 5 gr tepung daun pepaya), B (30 gr tepung ikan mujair + 7 gr tepung daun pepaya), dan C (35 gr tepung ikan mujair + 9 gr tepung daun pepaya). Hasil uji organoleptik yang diperoleh bahwa Mie mujaya yang paling disukai adalah perlakuan C yaitu nilai rata-rata warna sebesar 4,57, tekstur 4,54, rasa 4,53, dan aroma 4,59 dengan kategori amat sangat suka. Menghasilkan warna hijau sedikit pekat, tekstur yang kenyal, rasa gurih dihasilkan dari protein pada ikan mujair dan aroma khas ikan mujair. Hasil uji kandungan gizi per 100 gr mie mujaya yaitu kadar abu sebesar 1,40%, kadar air sebesar 71,79%, kalsium sebesar 156,71 mg, protein sebanyak 6,26%, dan zat besi sebesar 2,10 mg.
