Abstract

Hidden surface removal is an algorithm used to hide part of the object which is blocked by the object in front of it. If there are two plane crossed each other displayed without Hidden surface removal algorithm, the crossing section is invisible, because one object will block another object without crossing. The crossing sections can be displayed using Hidden surface removal algorithm. Z buffer algorithm implements Hidden Surface Removal by entering color and depth of the visible plane into the buffer, then displays the result on the screen. Scan Line algorithm will scanning the screen row by row of each object surface in three dimension and then displays on the screen after each row scanning. Both of the algorithms will be compared based on the memory usage dan time needed to execute. The experiment shows that Scanline algorithm uses less memory compared with Z-Buffer algoritm. Furthermore, based on the speed, the Scanline is better than the Z-Buffer if the object is collected on the y row, but the Z-Buffer is better than the Scanline if the object scattered and used all rows on the drawing plane and has more surface do displayed. Abstract in Bahasa Indonesia : Hidden surface removal adalah suatu algoritma yang digunakan untuk menghilangkan penampilan bagian yang tertutup oleh objek yang didepannya. Apabila ada dua bidang yang berpotongan, apabila ditampilkan biasa tanpa menggunakan algoritma Hidden surface removal maka bagian yang berpotongan itu akan tidak kelihatan, oleh karena bidang yang satu ditutupi oleh bagian yang lain tanpa memotong. Oleh karena itu untuk menampilkan bidang perpotongan, diperlukan Algoritma Hidden surface removal. Algoritma Z buffer melaksanakan proses Hidden Surface Removal dengan memasukkan warna dan kedalaman bidang permukaan yang tampak ke dalam buffer, dan kemudian setelah selesai hasilnya ditampilkan ke layar. Algoritma Scan Line melakukan scanning untuk setiap baris dari layar bidang gambar untuk setiap permukaan objek pada ruang tiga dimensi dan menampilkan hasilnya setelah melaksanakan proses setiap baris scanning-nya. Kedua algoritma ini dibandingkan berdasarkan besar memori dan waktu yang dipergunakan oleh masing-masing algoritma. Dari hasil penelitian didapatkan bahwa algoritma Scanline menggunakan memori yang lebih sedikit dari algoritma Z-Buffer, sedangkan dari segi kecepatan algoritma Scan Line lebih unggul daripada algoritma Z Buffer bilamana objek yang ditampilkan pada bidang gambar mengumpul pada baris y, sedangkan Z Buffer lebih unggul dari Scan Line bila objek yang digambar menyebar dan menggunakan keseluruhan baris pada bidang gambar dengan bidang permukaan yang digambar semakin banyak. Abstract

In this paper, we propose an identification method of the land cover from remote sensing data with combining neuro-fuzzy and expert system. This combining then is called by Neuro-Fuzzy Expert System Model (NFES-Model). A Neural network (NN) is a part from neuro-fuzzy has the ability to recognize complex patterns, and classifies them into many desired classes. However, the neural network might produce misclassification. By adding fuzzy expert system into NN using geographic knowledge based, then misclassification can be decreased, with the result that improvement of classification result, compared with a neural network approximation.

Abstract

Electronic commerce is one of the components in the internet that growing fast in the world. In this research, it is developed the prototype for library service that offers library collection ordering especially books and articles through World Wide Web. In order to get an interaction between seller and buyer, there is an urgency to develop a dynamic web, which needs the technology and software. One of the programming languages is called Active Server Pages (ASP) and it is combining with database system to store data. The other component as an interface between application and database is ActiveX Data Objects (ADO). ASP has an advantage in the scripting method and it is easy to make the configuration with database. This application consists of two major parts those are administrator and user. This prototype has the facilities for editing, searching and looking through ordering information online. Users can also do downloading process for searching and ordering articles. Paying method in this e-commerce system is quite essential because in Indonesia not everybody has a credit card. As a solution to this situation, this prototype has a form for user who does not have credit card. If the bill has been paid, he can do the transaction online. In this case, one of the ASP advantages will be used. This is called "session" when data in process would not be lost as long as the user still in that "session". This will be used in user area and admin area where the users and the admin can do various processes. Abstract in Bahasa Indonesia : Electronic commerce adalah satu bagian dari internet yang berkembang pesat di dunia saat ini. Pada penelitian ini dibuat suatu prototipe program aplikasi untuk pengembangan jasa layanan perpustakaan khususnya pemesanan artikel dan buku melalui World Wide Web. Untuk membangun aplikasi berbasis web diperlukan teknologi dan software yang mendukung pembuatan situs web dinamis sehingga ada interaksi antara pembeli dan penjual. Salah satunya adalah Active Server Pages (ASP) yang digabungkan sistem database untuk meyimpan data. Komponen penunjang lainnya adalah interface antara aplikasi dengan database yaitu ActiveX Data Objects (ADO). ASP memiliki keunggulan dalam metode scriptingnya dan mudah dalam berhubungan dengan database. Prototipe yang dibuat ini terdiri dari dua bagian utama yaitu bagian untuk administrator dan bagian untuk user. Prototipe yang dibuat ini ini mampu menghasilkan fasilitas pengeditan data, pencarian data, dan melihat informasi pesanan secara online. Untuk pencarian dan pemesanan artikel maka user dapat langsung melakukan proses download. Karena sistem E-commerce di Indonesia baru saja berkembang maka perlu diperhatikan juga mengenai metode pembayaran dimana tidak setiap orang mempunyai kartu kredit. Maka dalam prototipe ini terdapat juga suatu form untuk user yang tidak mempunyai kartu kredit. Begitu user telah melakukan pembayaran maka user bersangkutan bisa melakukan transaksi secara online. Disini dipakai juga keunggulan ASP yaitu "session" dimana data - data dalam proses yang terjadi tidak akan hilang selama user masih berada dalam session tersebut. Ini digunakan dalam proses user area dan admin area dimana user dan admin dapat melakukan berbagai macam proses. Abstract

The Bible is a guidebook for the Christian life, the development of mobile technology allows to create applications Bible on mobile phones. This research aims to develop applications of existing Bible by providing new features. These features include, that can display two types of the same Bible (New International Version and the King James Version), features of note to the bookmark application, clear visibility on the in-verse bookmarks, display, grouping the bookmarks and search results clustering words, the application daily devotional, and maps. Database Bible is a database used Go Bible, and the search string using the Turbo Boyer Moore. Tests on the application made on the Nokia N78, Sony Ericsson W910i, K800 as a sample. From the results of testing, applications have been made to run well on all three mobile phone.

Abstract

Many manufacturer company have problems in processing of production data if data processing is done without computerize system. The company that chosen for research have problems to create production reports and to calculate cost of goods manufactured. Until this day, production information system in many companies in Surabaya still uses manually processing. Many number of customers and transactions cause very difficult to do production control activity. Besides that, data processing also takes long times. Orientation of this research is to make software aplication wich helps the company to solve the problem. The result of the software's performance test is the software that helps production sector because of faster data processing and it can give information of production control. Abstract in Bahasa Indonesia : Dalam suatu perusahaan yang bergerak di bidang industri, banyak terjadi kesulitan bila pencatatan dan pengolahan data produksi tidak memakai sistem yang terkomputerisasi. Demikian halnya yang terjadi pada satu perusahaan vulkanisir ban yang berdomisili di Surabaya. Perusahaan ini mengalami kesulitan dalam membuat laporan-laporan produksi dan menghitung Harga Pokok Produksi (HPP). Selama ini sistem informasi produksi pada perusahaan masih menggunakan cara manual. Jumlah pelanggan dan proses transaksi yang banyak menyebabkan kesulitan dalam pengontrolan produksi. Selain itu pengolahan data juga membutuhkan waktu yang lama. Tujuan penelitian ini adalah membuat program untuk membantu perusahaan dalam memecahkan permasalahan. Berdasarkan pengujian dan analisa hasil, dapat dibuktikan program ini sangat membantu bagian produksi karena pengolahan data dapat dilakukan secara cepat dengan komputerisasi, serta menyajikan informasi yang dibutuhkan untuk melakukan kontrol produksi. Abstract

The purpose of this study is to evaluate livingetcindonesia.com website, in order to improve user satisfaction as an online media and the extent to which the level of user satisfaction to the presentation of the website. The website criteria: perceived usefulness, ease of use, ease of finding information, and the design/layout of page is examined to determine the effect on user satisfaction. Analysis of site infrastructure has been meeting the needs of web and database servers, database structure, web analytics to determine the user visits the website and area/location where a user visiting the website. The survey results showed variable Perceived usefullness, Ease of use, Ease of finding information, and Design/Layout of page significant effect on user satisfaction.

Abstract

This paper discusses fuzzification of crisp domain into fuzzy classes providing fuzzy domain. Relationship between two fuzzy domains, Xi and Xj, can be represented by using a matrix, wij. If Xi has n elements of fuzzy data and Xj has m elements of fuzzy data then wij is n x m matrix. Our primary goal in this paper is to generate some formulas for predicting interval probability in the relation to data querying, i.e., given John is 30 years old and he has MS degree, how about his probability to get high salary.

Abstract

Digital image has size and object in the form of foreground and background. To separate it, it is necessary to be conducted the image segmentation process. Otsu thresholding method is one of image segmentation method. In this research is divided into five processes, which are input image, pre-processing, segmentation, cleaning, and accuracy calculation. First process was input color images which consists of multiple objects. Second process was conversion from color image to grayscale image. Third process was automatically calculated threshold value using Otsu thresholding method, followed by binary image transformation. The fourth process, the result of third process is changed into negative image as the segmentation results, noise removal with a threshold value of 150, and morphology. The last accuracy calculation is conducted to measure proposed segmentation method performance. The experimental result have been compared to the image of Ground Truth as the direct user observation to calculate accuracy. To examine the proposed method, Weizmann Segmentation Database is used as data set. It conconsist of 30 color images. The experimental results show that 93.33% accuracy were achieved.

Abstract

A travel company offers a transportation service by picking up customers from certain places and sending them to the other places. Concerning traffic in time domain function for every path, the problem is how to find the quickest paths in picking up the customers. The problem may be considered as the quickest path problem. We may consider the quickest path problem as an extension of the shortest path problem. The quickest path problem optimizes length of time in visiting some places. The quickest path is not always the shortest path. In the relation to the problem, this paper proposes an algorithm for solving the quickest path problem. The algorithm is constructed by modifying a concept of transitive closure method.

Abstract

Autolux Project is owned by DTT Multimedia B.V. Autolux is a platform for car lovers sharing their information about favorite or latest cars. The website was built in MODx (CMS framework) which considered being old and heavy by the company. With that very reason, a project to migrate the website from MODx into PhalconPHP (pure PHP framework) was started. Migrating website from MODx to PhalconPHP was a success, and to boost the website popularity, the first thing to do is to implement the SEO standards. Another demand by the company was for the website to be responsive and using OOP standarts. Responsive website can be reached by using the help of libraries. PhalconPHP already implemented OOP, thus the developer will follow the MVC pattern given and refine it by doing more separation of concerns. Later on, the developer also put more refinements on the website to boost the speed of page loading, support multilingual, and management system.
