Abstract

Madiun Regency is an area of martial arts preservation of Pencak silat. Thus, Madiun Regency has several pencak silat hermitages as a forum for learning pencak silat martial arts but currently does not have a representative pencak silat facility as a joint competition and training event. Therefore, designing a Pencak Silat Martial Arts Competition and Training Building with a Neo Vernacular Architecture theme approach derived from local culture is necessary. This is in connection with the aim of the Madiun Regency government to have a plan to provide a Joint Silat College Building to unite martial arts colleges and improve the economy in Madiun Regency. The design research method uses qualitative methods in case studies and descriptive, data collection techniques in the form of observation, literature studies, case studies, documentation, questionnaires, and interviews. The Neo Vernacular Architecture Theme approach applied to the shape aspect is expected to be able to combine local culture with the current architectural style. The design of the Pencak Silat Martial Arts Competition and Training Building with the Neo Vernacular architectural theme uses the macro concept of cultural stylization and the micro concept of cultural representation which is expected to represent the formation of the Joglo House and the characteristics of the Pencak silat building. the facade design represents pencak silat techniques/attitudes which apply the form of Sembong cloth attributes as an ornament and uses the colors yellow, green, and brown.

Abstract

An area is said to be prone to flooding if the area has a high tendency or potential to experience floods. This can be seen from the topography of the area as well as infrastructure such as the provision of flood inundation disposal sites. Meanwhile, to determine the level of vulnerability to flooding can be determined based on the parameters that affect the occurrence of flooding. This study aims to determine the area's vulnerability to flooding in residential areas along the Aimutin road in Hudi Laran-Timor Leste. This research was conducted quantitatively using a survey method by distributing questionnaires to 37 research samples. The population in this study included the entire residential area along Jalan Aimutin in the Hudi Laran area, Biropite Village, Dom Aleixo District, Dili City, Timor-Leste and the subjects of the study were the community, using stratified random sampling techniques by Purposive and Accidental Sampling. The results of the study based on the calculation of the flood hazard level parameter score show the high category with inundation duration 48 hours, while the frequency of flood inundation in the area shows the medium category with a presentation of 75.8% or as many as 2-5 incidents in one year. Calculation of the area's vulnerability level to flooding shows that out of 37 research samples, 10 samples fall into the low vulnerability category, the remaining 18 research samples show moderate vulnerability and 9 other samples fall into the high vulnerability category.

Abstract

Many of the person who built settlements in riverbank areas, this allows residents in riverbank areasto become accustomed to disposing of waste directly into the river. In the end, this waste threatens the success of river flow, polluted river water has a serious impact on the health and quality of the environment around the riverbanks, such as the negative impact caused by this pollution, for example, such as health which has an impact on the surrounding environment or others. Because it is important to understand the natural health relationship, this study chose a river area that is located around the Rolak area of Surabaya, this place was chosen because the area is around a densely populated area and an industrial area. So that it can be used as research because the area certainly has a high level of pollution. As a result of the impact of the many residential and industrial areas around the river, the biomonitoring method is carried out to identify river pollution from its physical habitat by monitoring environmental health using living organisms in the river. Therefore the biomonitoring method can be applied because the advantages of this method can also be used including helping identify by using test parameters such as measuring pH, temperature and oxygen content in river water. that has been done before. Then the biotic examination can be used as a guide that can represent the quality of a body of water, from observations at several points the river is known to have a color that tends to be brownish due to turbidity levels, the pH parameters at each sample point are classified as normal and for Total Dissolved Solid (TDS) there is content of 339 mg/l, this is thought to be due to the source of domestic waste pollution from residents' settlements around the river banks. For DO test results there are only five points that meet quality standards. As for the diversity of bioindicators at each point, such as the presence of weeds at the first point, while the presence of water hyacinth can only be seen at the third and fourth points, the macrozoobenthos that are commonly found in the mangrove area are from the Mollusca, Annelida, and Arthropoda.

Abstract

PT X is an industry engaged in the production of snacks. The processes and activities in the industry produce by-products, namely hazardous and toxic waste. All waste is stored in temporary storage, but based on observations, the extant temporary storage does not meet the government's requirements. Accordingly, PT X redesigned a temporary storage area following government requirements. This study aims to identify a temporary storage location that complies with government regulations for PT X. Recording the types, characteristics, and quantities produced by PT X, followed by existing observation, is followed by the calculation of facility needs according to SNI and individual calculations. This research analysis provides property and layout recommendations to enhance the condition of PT X's temporary storage for hazardous and toxic refuse.

Abstract

Indonesia is a state of law that has a recognition to protect the rights of every citizen, every human being has the right to live, grow and develop without discrimination. Surabaya is a city that has a lot of history as well as being the capital of East Java Province and the second largest city in Indonesia. The design location is on Dr. Ir. Soekarno (Merr) street, Surabaya City. Human rights are owned by all human beings from birth and are valid for life, but human rights currently tend to be ignored, so that many people do not get their rights fairly, there is no mutual respect, are oppressed and treated inhumanely in violation of existing norms. Using descriptive and qualitative methods to determine case studies. The selection of the theme of Contemporary Architecture with the macro concept of Independence which means free or independent, so that the design of the Human Rights history Museum design applies freedom of work but still adheres to existing norms. The design result of the transformation of the land concept results in a micro-landscape that is extensive and has a wide-reaching nature. With the existence of the Museum of Human Rights History, it is hoped that it can become a means of education and knowledge for all groups, both for the public, students, and students so that they can respect each other regardless of differences in any aspect to raise awareness of the importance of Human Rights as a message of peace to be free in accordance with the norms of Pancasila.

Abstract

One of the serious environmental problems the Indonesian people face today is the waste problem. Waste separation is still an effective solution to facilitate the next waste-handling process. In Indonesia, most of the work of waste sorting is done manually, causing work risks, one of which is related to ergonomics at work. Ergonomics is a work rule or norm that can bring comfort and productivity to work. Waste4Change is a social entrepreneurship that provides responsible waste management services. This research aims to improve ergonomics and working methods in waste separation at Waste4Change. A combination of literature review and field studies is used as the research method. The results showed that waste separation by sitting for too long causes pain in the waist and back of workers. Additionally, the repetitive combination of sitting and standing movements when collecting waste for further separation is felt to be slow and inefficient. The solution to this problem is providing a sorting table made of stainless steel with a height of 100 cm, which is adjusted to the average height of waste sorting workers at Waste4Change. By using the sorting table method, the work of sorting waste is more effective and healthier for the bodies of the waste sorters

Abstract

The application of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) at the Meteorology, Climatology, and Geophysics Agency (BMKG) is an important step in maintaining employees’ safety and health in their work environment. Even though BMKG is not involved in heavy industrial activities, there are still potential hazards and risks that need to be addressed in carrying out meteorological, climatological, and geophysical tasks. This study aims to describe the importance of implementing PPE in the BMKG environment, especially the Aviation Meteorological Station, where we took a case study at the Juanda Meteorological Station. First, we identify potential hazards that may be faced by BMKG employees, such as radiation risk, potential for hazardous gas explosions or fires, extreme weather conditions, and risks of physical injury. In the face of these risks, the use of proper PPE can help protect employees from hazardous exposures, and gas explosions and prevent injury. Next, we discuss the factors that need to be considered in implementing PPE at the BMKG. This includes a comprehensive risk assessment, identification of appropriate PPE for specific hazards, training of employees on the use and care of PPE, and regular monitoring and maintenance of the PPE used. Therefore, by implementing the Occupational Health and Safety Management System, in this case, the application of PPE, BMKG can ensure that employees have a safe and healthy work environment, reduce the risk of work accidents, and comply with applicable regulations and standards related to work safety.

Abstract

Infrastructure development in this globalization era has increased rapidly in line with the need for residential space, businesses, and buildings. Building construction projects have limitations, including cost limits or cost overruns. The conditions of proper use that are less efficient due to the development plan’s location can lead to several risks during construction work. This study aims to identify and analyze the factors influencing cost overruns and determine the most dominant causal factor in cost overruns. By giving questionnaires to 40 respondents, the data were collected and then treated for validity, reliability, normality, and statistical tests through SPSS software. The analysis of the data tested indicated that all variables were declared valid because the results of the correlation between the respondents' answers to each question item obtained a significant value, namely rcount rtable. The reliability test showed that the Cronbach alpha value of all variables was above 0.600. In conclusion, it was very reliable and could be trusted to be used as a variable measuring tool. The most dominant factors causing cost overruns in the Office Waringin Group project consisted of new work items at a mean of 4.33.
