Abstract

One of the causes of maternal mortality is undetected high-risk pregnancies. Since the Covid-19 pandemic, motherhood classes in Kupang Regency have been postponed. By carrying out routine and regular Antenatal Care (ANC) through examination of the condition of the mother and fetus, you can detect any risks that may arise during pregnancy. So that pregnancy complications can be recognized by cadres and pregnant women, it is necessary to train cadres in self-screening for pregnancy complications. One effort that can be done is by using a Community Screening Card. The aim of this activity is to empower posyandu cadres in carrying out early pregnancy detection using the Community Screening Card. The community service method uses steps: counseling, cadre training, demonstrations/simulations using Community Screening Cards directly to pregnant women. and mentoring. This activity requires the activeness of pregnant women and midwives in the mentoring process using a community screening card (consultation with a midwife). The results of the activity showed that there was an increase in understanding after the training was held, namely that training participants who had a good level of understanding increased from 0% to 85%. Of the total participants, there were still 15% who understood quite well. Conclusion: increasing the role of health cadres in early detection and referral efforts for maternal and child health cases, especially in cases of referral for childbirth in the context of preparedness and preparedness for complications for mothers and newborns, is expected to reduce maternal and child mortality rates.

Abstract

involvement of cadres, mothers and families in monitoring the health and growth and development of babies and toddlers is very important. Cadres, mothers and families are the first people to assist and help babies and toddlers. Monitoring babies and toddlers by cadres is very useful for screening children's conditions every day. If a child is in trouble or sick, immediately take him or her to a health worker or provide first action to reduce pain and even prevent the death of a toddler. The aim of this community service is to empower women, namely cadres, through training in daily monitoring of the growth and development of babies under five in Tarus Village, Central Kupang District, Kupang Regency. The methods used are lectures, training and mentoring related to daily monitoring of the growth and development of babies under five using the latest 2021 edition of the MCH book. In the 2021 MCH book there are daily monitoring instruments for babies 0-60 days and daily monitoring instruments 2-60 months. 85% of the cadres in Tarus Village who are involved in education and monitoring children's growth and development are aged 30-50 years. Cadres' knowledge about the growth and development of babies under five is minimal even though they are provided with MCH books. Community service activities include education and assistance in monitoring the growth and development of babies under five. There is an increase in cadres' knowledge and abilities regarding growth and development.

Abstract

Menopause is the period when menstruation stops which occurs in women aged 48 to 55 years. Menopause is a phase where women do not experience menstruation. It is hoped that the benefits and objectives of this counseling will be useful for improving and increasing knowledge about Reproductive Health in Menopausal Women. Menopause is a phase where women do not experience menstruation. Often women face menopause with anxiety and fear because they are entering old age and are no longer able to bear children. The method used in this program is to provide health education through counseling about Reproductive Health in Menopausal Women. Based on the results of the Self-Awareness Survey, there are several problems, namely the large number of teenagers who consume unhealthy food, teenagers who do not know about reproductive health, the lack of knowledge of pregnant women and mothers with toddlers regarding the contents of MCH books and the lack of knowledge of menopausal women in caring for reproductive health. The priority problem is the lack of knowledge of menopausal women in caring for reproductive health. With 110 people interviewed, there were 101 menopausal women who said they did not know about caring for reproductive health. From the SMD results, we found the problem of low levels of knowledge of reproductive health in menopausal women. To overcome this, we made one effort to provide education regarding reproductive health in menopausal women. After the counseling was carried out, participants looked enthusiastic about the counseling material presented and were able to practice how to care for reproductive health.
