Abstract

The type of information submitted by PPID is information requested by the public while the information submitted by Public Relations is information related to activities and programs and things related to the needs of Hasanuddin University students. Media publicity is a publication tool used in disseminating information. This study aims to determine the role of Public Relations in utilizing the media publicity they have in this case is the Website unhas.ac.id and Instagram account with username @hasanuddin_univ regarding MBKM program information. This study uses descriptive qualitative approach, descriptive qualitative technique is a research method that utilizes qualitative data and described descriptively. The results showed that public relations of Hasanuddin University used their publicity media in disseminating information about the MBKM program in 2021. And also the message packaging strategy carried out by Hasanuddin University Public Relations can be considered satisfactory, by following the development of existing technology.

Abstract

This thesis aims to determine the role of Public Relations of the Indonesian Muslim University Makassar in the MBKM (Merdeka Belajar Kampus Merdeka) 2021 program, to determine the public communication strategy of the Public Relations of the Indonesian Muslim University Makassar in disseminating information through publicity media related to the MBKM Program. This research uses a descriptive qualitative method using the theory of cybernetic traditions, communication goals and excellence in public relations, by determining informants in a proposive manner, namely the Head of the Public Relations Section, Public Relations Practitioners and also students who act as target audiences of the publicity media. The results of this research show that the Public Relations of the Indonesian Muslim University of Makassar responds to the MBKM program and has a strategy on disseminating information through publicity media. The response given was divided into two, namely structurally and culturally, by adapting the MBKM program into curriculum integrity for students of the Indonesian Muslim University of Makassar, but it did not run optimally. The strategy carried out by the Public Relations and Protocol of UMI Makassar refers to G-P-A activities, namely Goals, Plans, and Actions. Keywords

Abstract

The purpose of this study was to examine the perspective and meaning in the tradition of child birth in the Bugis community in Talaka Village, Pangkep Regency. The research method used is a qualitative research method with as many as 4 (four) informants, namely traditional birth attendants and the general public who use the services of traditional birth attendants with data collection techniques carried out in two ways, namely, primary data and secondary data. The method of data collection by conducting observations, interviews, documentation. The results show that ritual communication is always identified with habits or routines, understands rituals as a hereditary action that also contains transcendental values, rituals have a relationship with voluntary performances that are carried out from generation to generation based on habits. As a sociocultural unit, the community has long had a set of traditional ceremonies. Until now they still maintain the values contained in the traditional ceremony. Considering that these ceremonies have spiritual and social functions, psychologically it can create peace of mind, feel safe and calm that can be felt in the heart.

Abstract

This study aims to find out how the working mechanism of the Ujung Pandang Express Daily (Upeks) in determining the coverage issues that will be raised as Headline news and what are the factors that influence the determination of Headline news. The type of research used is qualitative research. This study uses two types of theories, namely the Agenda Setting Theory and the Hierarchy of Influence Theory. The results of this study concluded that the determination of Headline news before it was determined had to go through a working mechanism, namely 1). Editorial meeting, 2). Coverage, 3). Editing, 4) determination of news headlines. In addition, there are factors that influence the determination of headline news, namely internal factors and external factors. 1). Internal factors in the media relate to the interests of media owners, individual journalists as news seekers, media organization routines, 2). Abstract

The aims of this study are (1) to find out the communication patterns of the Makassar government in the Covid-19 pandemic management program. (2) To learn about the media use of the Makassar government’s “covid19.go.id” website in the Covid-19 pandemic management program. The method used in this research is qualitative method. There were four informants in this study. This research lasted for one month and was located at the office of Communications and Informatics. The research method used in this study is a qualitative method. Data collection techniques through observation, interviews and documentation. Based on the research results, it can be concluded that the government of Makassar played a significant role in the handling and service of Covid-19 information through digital an non digital communication patterns in which notifications are digitally provided via websites, whatsapp social media, instagram, facebook and social media. Non digital, it is to encourage the community to use masks, wash their hands and sosial distancing

Abstract

The purpose of this study is to find out how the Communication Governance Strategy of the Cultural Heritage Preservation Center in Increasing Tourist Visits Fort Rotterdam Makassar Fort and how the Communication Governance Process of the Preservation Conservation Center in Increasing Tourist Visits Fort Rotterdam Makassar Fort. This research lasted for 1 month and is located in Makassar City, precisely at the Office of the Cultural Conservation Preservation Center of South Sulawesi Province. The informants in this study amounted to six people. The research method used is qualitative research methods. Descriptive analysis with data collection techniques is carried out in two ways, believe primary data and secondary data. The method of collecting data is by conducting observations, interviews, and documentation. The results of the study, it can be concluded that the Communication Management Strategy carried out by the Cultural Heritage Preservation Center has created excellent and quality information services through its way of implementing communication governance strategies to increase tourist visits. However, this strategy is not very successful in increasing tourist visits every year. It is possible that we have difficulty implementing it so that we fail to achieve the goal. To achieve the goal, of course will get some obstacles.

Abstract

The purpose of this study was to examine the Communication Strategy of the Tourism Office and the Concept of Tourism Destination Development. This study used a qualitative descriptive method, with five (5) informants in this study. The data collection technique was through observation, interviews and documentation. The results of this study indicate that the communication strategy carried out by the Tourism Office in the development of Lake Matano is to inform the public through social media or directly to the community to be involved in the development of Lake Matano. The concept of developing Lake Matano is to make Lake Matano a geogical park or geo park because Lake Matano is the deepest lake in Southeast Asia.

Abstract

Film is one of the mass communication media that can be enjoyed by all circles. Ali & Ratu Ratu Queens is an Indonesian film that has family conflicts that are presented as the core of this film. In this study, the film Ali & Ratu Ratu Queens was analyzed using semiotic analysis according to Charles Sanders Peirce and semiotics according to Roland Barthes. This study uses a qualitative descriptive approach in analyzing the symbols of family conflict according to the semiotics of Charles Sanders Peirce and Roland Barthes. The study lasted for one month by observing film footage. The analysis unit of this study is the film Ali & Ratu Ratu Queens and a collection of cuts of scenes in the film Ali & Ratu Ratu Queens. Using Charles Sanders Peirce's theory of semiotics and Roland Barthes's theory of semiotics. The results showed that the meaning of representations, objects, interpretants, denotations and connotations of the film Ali & Ratu Ratu Queens produced four symbols of family conflict: conflicts between married couples, conflicts between fathers and children, conflicts between mothers and children and conflicts with extended families

Abstract

This Research aims to describe the Strategy of Communication Organizational for Optimizing the Structures in PT. Pelindo Regional 4 (Persero). The type of research used is descriptive qualitative. The data of this research consists of primary and secondary data. Primary data is obtained from interviewa, while secondry data is obtained by writing decoments and literature related to the object of research, data obtained and analyzed qualitative, namely by explaining the problems discussed in the thesis. The results of this research show that the Strategy of Communication Organizational for Optimizing the Structures in PT. Pelindo Regional 4 (Persero) has been running well, employees continue to improve their quality by improving the organization’s communication strategy.
