Abstract

The Covid-19 pandemic has forced workers to work from home. WFH intended to reduce the rate of the spread of Covid-19. This study aims to quantitatively describe the level of performance of workers while working from home (WFH) either fully or partially during the Covid-19 pandemic and the factors that influence it. This study uses a quantitative approach with an online survey. Data were analyzed descriptively and by chi-square association test. The results of this study indicate that the level of performance of workers who work from home fully or partially during the Covid-19 pandemic was low, with a percentage of 51.40% and 48.60% of respondents having a high level of performance. The results of the chi-square association test show that there is no association between gender, marital status, number of dependents in the family, number of children, age, education, employment sector, employee status, and income with the level of worker performance during work from home. The purpose of this research is an initial reference for further research with a similar theme but with different concepts, methods, and research loci.

Abstract

The design of the rice husk grinding machine aims to convert rice husk waste into more useful products. The results of the mill in the form of powder can be used as biomass, charcoal briquettes, animal feed, and others so that rice husk waste can be processed and does not pollute the ecosystem in its environment. The design method in the rice husk grinding machine uses the Pahl and Beitz method which consists of several design and research phases including, functional structure, variant concept creation, value weighting from the questionnaire results and the final result obtained is a technical drawing of the selected variant. The design of the rice husk grinding machine uses an AC (Alternating Current) electric motor with 2 hp (horsepower) with a rotation of 1400 RPM (Radian Per Minute). The milling system of the machine uses a disk mill type knife, with a total of 4 rotational blades and 32 static blades, then the output of rice husks that have been milled with a knife filtered by a mesh sieve no. 20 or 0.8 mm. The final result of this machine mill is in the form of filtered rice husk powder, which is then processed into more useful products.

Abstract

Belitung Island was declared a national geopark in 2016, and through UNESCO’s several sessions and process, finally granted UNESCO recognition as a member of UNESCO Global Geopark Networks in 2021. The local government and the people of East Belitung as part of the Belitung Geopark area, must have various creative programs for natural and cultural preservation while at the same time improve local welfare. One of the community initiatives that was successfully developed as a synergy for the preservation and welfare improvement approach in the context of geopark development is the cultivation of Trigona honey bees as an agro-tourism attraction. This study discusses the synergy of empowerment and development of agro-tourism as one of the preferred attractions of the Belitung Geopark. This study used a qualitative methodology and data were collected through observation, interviews and focus group discussions. The results showed that community involvement in Trigona honey cultivation originated from the initiative of local leaders as agents of change. Community participation in Trigona honey cultivation strongly supports environmental sustainability because the principle in Trigona honey bee cultivation must preserve the forest. The development of agro-tourism becomes an added value of Trigona honey cultivation which support the basic idea of the development of Belitung Geopark. This local initiative approach is closely related to sustainable tourism development includes 3P (people, planet, prosperity). Theoretically, this research contributes to the idea of a local initiative (local champion), which is able to mobilize and provide added value in the management of local resources to support geopark development.

Abstract

Health behavior change is a learning process from, by, and to help oneself from a health problem where the cause of behavior change depends on the quality of the stimulus given. Compliance of health workers with health protocols to prevent Covid-19 is an important concern in efforts to break the chain of spread of Covid- 19. Compliance with the implementation of the COVID-19 health protocol is an application for the security and safety of hospital staff in providing services to patients. The massive spread of the COVID-19 virus has the potential to spread from patients to all hospital staff. The lack of discipline in implementing the COVID-19 health protocol in hospitals such as wearing masks not according to standards, not maintaining distance, not applying proper cough etiquette, not avoiding crowds, and not using PPE according to standards resulted in hospital staff being very vulnerable to the risk of transmission. This study aims to compare the compliance of patient care workers with back office officers in implementing the COVID-19 health protocol, using quantitative methods with univariate analysis and qualitative methods through interviews with PPI officers at XYZ Hospital. The results showed that the compliance of patient care workers (79.2%) was higher than that of back office staff (77.5%).

Abstract

Waiting time for prescription services is one indicator of minimum pharmacy service standards. This study aims to determine the average time, coverage of compliance, and to find out the obstacles related to prescription services. This research uses mixed methods. The quantitative approach was carried out using the prescription service worksheet instrument. The qualitative approach was carried out by observing the process during the prescription service. Data were taken from March to April 2019 at a private type B hospital in West Java Province. The number of samples was determined based on the Slovin formula with an error tolerance value of 5%, obtained a sample of 60 non-concoction prescriptions and 60 concoction prescriptions. This study applied descriptive statistics with univariate analysis. The results showed the average service time for non-concoction prescriptions was 26 minutes 58 seconds and 40 minutes 14 seconds for concoction prescriptions. The coverage of the suitability of service time based on the Decree of the Minister of Health of the Republic of Indonesia was 68% (non- concoction prescriptions) and 92% (concoction prescriptions), while according to the hospital's internal quality standards it was 3% (non-mixed prescriptions) and 15% (concoction prescriptions). Several obstacles occurred during the process of receiving prescriptions, working on compound prescriptions, submitting prescriptions, confirming doctors, and peak days for patients. The establishment of hospital internal quality standards related to the timing of prescription services needs to be reviewed and the application of the lean hospital concept needs to be considered.

Abstract

Healthcare-Associated Infections (HAIs) are disease complications that often occur in the provision of health services in the world. There are one million four hundred thousand infections each year due to HAIs. Responding to the high number of incidents, a solution is needed to reduce the number of HAIs. One of them is managing linen appropriately. However, a solution that was expected to be the key to suppressing the incidence of HAIs was found to be the plurality of problem. Various predecessor researchers discussed the diversity of problems and the complexity found at the stage of washing linen management. Even though the washing stage plays an important role in the success of linen management. On this basis, this journal also aims to compare the five precursors of research based on theoretical proper management of linen in order to enrich the treasury of the development of science, insight and as a reference for information in determining preventive measures for unexpected things. The research method used is a systematic literature review, then produces conclusions in the form of five hospitals that are examined based on the minimum requirements for hospital linen management guidelines that have met the requirements (>55%). However, after a comprehensive review, there are so many problems that are not included in the research variables. The plurality of problem was found at every process of linen management, linen management tools, tools and materials, linen quality and the behavior of linen management workers.
