Abstract

Biology learning is generally still less active and mostly uses conventional learning, which has an effect on the decline of students' critical thinking skills and absorption or student mastery of the material being taught. The purpose of this study was to determine the effect of cooperative integrated reading and composition (CIRC) methods on students' critical thinking skills in the biology class of viii mts. mu'allimin Nw pancor 2013/2014 learning year.        This type of research is experimental research with experimental design design (pretest-posttest control group) population of this study were all students of class VIII MTs. Mualimin NW Pancor. The sample in this study was simple random sampling. Data collection techniques use tests, in the form of 5 questions. Data analysis techniques look at critical thinking skills using prerequisite tests (normality, homogeneity test) and hypothesis testing that is by t-test (t-test)       The results of the research obtained are the posttest average values in the 77.53 experimental class and the 70.92 control class and the results of the normality test are the experimental class and the normally distributed controls. To test the hypothesis used the t-test formula. obtained by tcount t table (4,166 1,874). Then it can be concluded that the use of integrated cooperative reading and composition (CIRC) learning methods has an effect on students' critical thinking skills in the biology class viii mts.mu’allimin Nw pancor learning year 2013/2014.

Abstract

Abstrak: Tujuan penelitian ini adalah untuk mengetahui pengaruh Pengaruh Pembelajaran Berbasis Masalah (Problem Based Learning) Terhadap Kemampuan Berfikir Kritis Siswa Pada Mata Pelajaran Biologi Di MA NW Kotaraja Kelas X Tahun Pelajaran 2014/2015. Jenis penelitian ini adalah penelitian eksperimen. Teknik pengumpulan data untuk hasil belajar dengan metode tes essay. Untuk uji normalitas menggunakan chi-kuadrat dan untuk uji homogenitas menggunakan uji F. Adapun uji hipotesis penelitian menggunakan uji-t yaitu parametris dengan taraf signifikan 5%. Berdasarkan hasil perhitungan untuk uji prasyarat analisis yaitu uji normalitas dapat disimpulkan bahwa kedua sampel berasal dari populasi yang berdistribusi normal karena χ2hitung ≤ χ 2tabel, yaitu untuk kelas eksperimen 6,563 ≤ 11.07 dan untuk kelas kontrol 7.271 ≤ 11.07. Adapun untuk  uji  homogenitas  dapat  disimpulkan  bahwa  sampel  berasal  dari  populasi  yang homogen karena Fhitung Ftabel yaitu 1.04 1.86. Dari hasil analisis pada uji hipotesis didapatkan bahwa H0 ditolak dan Ha diterima karena harga -thitung ≤ -t1/2α atau thitung ≥ t1/2α, yaitu 4,365 ≥ 2,002. Dengan demikian dapat disimpulkan bahwa Ada pengaruh Pengaruh Pembelajaran Berbasis Masalah (Problem Based Learning) Terhadap Kemampuan Berfikir Kritis Siswa Pada Mata Pelajaran Biologi Di MA NW Kotaraja Kelas X Tahun Pelajaran 2014/2015.

Abstract

This research aimed at knowing the effect of jigsaw learning model on the problem solving about environment pollution of the X IPA grade students of MA NW Suralaga in the school year 2014-2015.This research was experiment utilizing true experimental design in form of post-test only control. The population was all of the X grade students of MA NW Suralaga consisted of 41 students spread in two classes. The sample was X B. It was taken using cluster random sampling. The data collection was done using 5 items description test. The data analysis was done through normality test, homogeneity test, and t-test. The result  of  research  showed that  mean  score in the  posttest  of the experiment class was 66.09 and the control class was 62.36. The result of normality test in the experiment and control class was normally distributed. The experiment class resulted t count (8.595) t table (9.488) and the control class resulted tcount (0.734) X2  table (9.488). The homogeneity showed that both groups werehomogeneous. it can be seen from the value Fcoun(t1.15) Ftable(2.07). The t-test resulted !countttable(3.800 1.708). It can be concluded that utilizing jigsaw had effect on the problem solving ability about environment pollution of the grade X IPA students of MA  NW Suralaga in the school year 20I4-20I5.

Abstract

Student activities in biology learning are still less active. This can be seen from the rarity of students issuing ideas / ideas because the teaching methods carried out still apply conventional methods. Conventional methods rarely provide high-level thinking questions or tasks such as solving problems, especially in critical and creative thinking. Generally, given an activity worksheet that is cognitive (memorization / memory). Such learning methods that lead to lack of attention, interest, and motivation of students in following lessons. Based on this, a learning method is needed that can stimulate students to ask, express their opinions, solve problems and practice students 'creative thinking skills, through the application of problem solving methods, potentially improving students' creative thinking skills in learning. This study aims to determine the effect of problem solving methods on the creative thinking ability of students in class X biology. The research is true experimental design. The populations of this study were the second semester students of class X SMA Negeri 1 Sikur in 2012/2013 academic year, totaling seven classes. A sample of research are class X2 as the experimental class and class X6 as the control class. The research instrument used in the study was a creative thinking test in essay form and consisted of six questions. Data analysis techniques by calculating the acquisition of the average value of students' creative thinking group and calculating the value of indicators of creative thinking students using the formula N Gain. The results of data analysis were obtained, namely (1) for the average value of groups in the experimental class 12.45 and for the control class 10.15., (2) N gain creative thinking for the experimental class was (1). Fluency (58.63); (2). Flexibility (53.31); (3). Originality (20.74), while in the control class is (1). Fluency (36.57); (2). Flexibility (34,72); (3). Originality (19,34). This shows that students' creative thinking ability after applied problem solving methods is more improved than learning with conventional methods.

Abstract

This study aims to determine the effect of using Crossword Puzzle learning media on the activities and learning outcomes of biology in digestive system material to human class VIII MTs NW Rumbuk 2015/2016 academic year. This study uses experimental research. The study population was all eighth grade students of MTs NW Rumbuk in the 2015/2016 school year, a number of three classes. The research sample was determined randomly by cluster random sampling technique. One class experiment with crossword puzzle learning media and one control class using the lecture method. Data collection techniques using multiple choice tests consisting of 30 questions. Whereas to measure learning activities students use observation sheets. Analysis prerequisite test using normality, homogeneity and linearity test. The hypothesis test is with a manova test with a significant level of 5% with the help of IBM SPSS 22.Hypothesis test Fresults Ftable count, according to the data seen with the specified significance level is = 0.05 0.00 (~).Thus it can be concluded that there is an influence of the use of crossword puzzle learning media on biology learning activities and results
