Abstract

Income inequality between regions occurs because there are differences in the development process and differences in policies for each region. Income inequality between regions occurs in Yogyakarta, which is the province with the highest poverty rate in Java. One of the causes of poverty in Yogyakarta is inequality in the north and south sides. Development on the north side is progressing massively while development on the south side is relatively lagging behind. The purpose of this research is to analyze the effect and elasticity of per capita growth, agglomeration, local own-source revenue, and investment on income inequality between regions. This research is a quantitative research using secondary data. The data used in this research are inequality based on the Bonet index, GRDP (Gross Regional Domestic Product) per capita, agglomeration, local own-source revenue, and investment from 5 regencies/cities in Yogyakarta from 2011 to 2022. The data were obtained from BPS (Badan Pusat Statistik) Yogyakarta publications and DJPK (Direktorat Jenderal Perimbangan Keuangan) publications. Data were analyzed using panel data analysis with the fixed effect model. The results showed that per capita growth has a positive and significant effect on income inequality between regions, agglomeration has a positive and significant effect on income inequality between regions, local own-source revenue has a negative and significant effect on income inequality between regions, and investment has a negative and significant effect on income inequality between regions. Based on this research, it is hoped that local governments can increase economic growth and make investment equitable, especially in the southern region by considering the potential of the area they have.

Abstract

Setrojenar Beach is one of the tourist attractions in Kebumen Regency, precisely in Setrojenar Village, Buluspesantren District. This beach has low quality facilities but high tourism demand. The high demand for tourism on Setrojenar Beach by the public should be accompanied by high appreciation. However, the appreciation for Setrojenar Beach is quite low as shown by the absence of an entrance ticket. So an economic valuation is needed to calculate the economic value of Setrojenar Beach, one of which is the individual travel cost method. This research has an update in terms of variables, namely the old variable knowing. The purpose of this study is to analyze the factors that influence tourist demand and determine the economic value of Setrojenar Beach. This study used 100 visitors who were taken by stratified random sampling. Data was collected using a questionnaire and distributed to respondents. The analysis technique used is multiple linear regression. This research is located at Setrojenar Beach.

Abstract

Regional expenditure carried out by the Regional Government is still of low quality, only 30 percent of the APBD (Anggaran Pendapatan dan Belanja Daerah) has a direct impact on the public. Regional expenditure is used more for operational expenditure which is generally less productive, while capital expenditure is the least compared to other expenditure, even though their use can be felt directly by the public. The realization of capital expenditure in Central Java Province is still below 30 percent, it has not yet reached the target according to the direction of the Ministry of Home Affairs. The purpose of this study is to analyze the effect of PAD (Pendapatan Asli Daerah), DAU (Dana Alokasi Umum), DAK (Dana Alokasi Khusus), DBH (Dana Bagi Hasil), and PDRB (Produk Domestik Regional Bruto) on capital expenditure. The data analysis technique in this study uses panel data regression analysis. The results of this study indicate that: 1) PAD and DBH have a positive effect but not significant on capital expenditure, 2) DAU and DAK have a positive and significant effect on capital expenditure, and 3) PDRB has a negative and significant effect on capital expenditure. The implication of this research is that Regional Government must optimize the extraction of resources that contribute to PAD and DBH. The Regional Government further increase the DAU and DAK budgets allocated to the capital expenditure budget to improve public service. Regional Government can minimize unnecessary routine expenditure, more allocated to capital expenditure in order to improve people’s welfare and encourage economic development and community self-sufficiency in a sustainable manner.

Abstract

This research is a quantitative research using secondary data during the 2014- 2018 period which focuses on the market structure of national private commercial banks and state-owned banks. The problem in this research is that the banking industry in Indonesia is still concentrated in large banks, thus creating a market that is less competitive and causing monopolistic or oligopolistic behavior from banks that have dominance. The purpose of this study is to analyze the market structure of national private commercial banks and state-owned banks for the 2014- 2021 period. The data sources for this research were obtained from the official websites of Bank Indonesia (BI), the Financial Services Authority (OJK), and the financial statements of the banks that were used as research objects, totaling ten banks consisting of national private commercial banks and state-owned bank. The market structure of national private commercial banks and state-owned banks can be analyzed using the calculation of the Concentration Ratio (CR) and the Herfindal Hirschman Index (IHH). Based on result of research and data analysis it has got the conclusions that the market structure of national private commercial banks and state-owned banks in Indonesia tends to experience increased market concentration and is classified as concentrated or can be categorized as tight oligopoly competition.

Abstract

Banyumas Regency has one of the leading commodities, namely coconut plantations. One of the sub-districts in Banyumas Regency which is the center of the coconut sugar industry is Cilongok District. This is indicated by the higher production numbers compared to other regions. The coconut sugar industry is able to absorb a lot of workers. However, the production volume of each craftsman varies. Meanwhile, craftsmen make their daily living by producing coconut sugar. Therefore, it is necessary to carry out research with the title "Analysis of the Institutional Influence of Farmer Groups on Coconut Sugar Production in Cilongok District, Banyumas Regency". The aim of this research is to analyze the influence of farmer group institutions, capital, number of trees, and technology on coconut sugar production. The results of this research show that: 1) Capital and number of trees have a significant positive effect on coconut sugar production, 2) Farmer group membership and technology do not have a significant effect on coconut sugar production. The implication of this research is that to increase coconut sugar production, the role of farmer groups needs to be increased so that craftsmen are motivated to increase coconut sugar production. Apart from that, craftsmen need to apply information obtained from farmer groups. The role of financial institutions and cooperatives is needed so that craftsmen are not only tied to loans provided by collectors. The government's role is also needed in providing support in the form of technology to expedite the coconut sugar production process.
