Abstract

Tujuan dari penelitian ini adalah mengkaji besarnya skala perubahan volume produksi ikan sarden yang diakibatkan oleh bertambahnya panjang jaring, kecepatan arus dan kedalaman air sebesar satu-satuan dan mengkaji besarrnya skala perubahan volume produksi ikan saden yang tidak di pengaruhi oleh bertambahnya panjang jaring, kecepatan arus dan kedalaman air sebesar satu-satuan. Penelitian ini dilaksanakan selama 1 bulan pada bulan Mei 2019. Data diperoleh melalui wawancara secara langsung berdasarkan kuesioner dengan menggunakan teknik purposive yaitu pengambilan sampel responden secara sengaja. Data yang dikumpulkan pada penelitian ini adalah panjang jaring, kecepatan arus dan kedalaman air. Data dianalisis menggunakan fungsi produksi Cobb Douglas dengan persamaan Y= Bo X1b1. X2b2.X3b3. Hasil analisis data menunjukkan bahwa Y= 3,217. X10,149. X20,011.X30,061 yang meberi arti bahwa panjang jaring, kecepatan arus dan kedalaman air mempunyai pengaruh terhadap produksi sebesar 14%, 1% dan 6%. Data tersebut menunjukkan input produksi panjang jaring (X1), kecepatan arus (X2) dan kedalaman air (X3), memberi konstribusi peningkatan (penambahan) produksi (Y) masing-masing sebesar 14%,1% dan 6%.

Abstract

Hand line is a simple fishing gear where this fishing gear consists of a capstan, fishing line, swivel, artificial bait and weight. The operation of this fishing gear is very simple where the operation can be done by an angler and does not require much operational cost. The technique of operation is by lowering the fishing rod paired with bait to the bottom and then pulled back after the fish is caught in the fishing rod is raised on the boat. The purpose of this study was to determine the composition of the types and sizes of fish caught based on the color of the bait used (white, green and blue), and to determine the effect of using different bait colors on the catch. This research was conducted in January and February 2023 in the waters of Maginti Island, West Muna Regency. This research used experimental fishing method, in which the researcher participated in the operation of handline fishing for 20 trips. The results of the study found that the total catch with white bait caught was 173 individuals of 7 species of fish, green bait 88 individuals of 4 species of fish and blue bait 40 individuals of 4 species of fish. In the three types of bait color yellow mackerel (Selaroides leptolepis) is the most dominant fish caught. The size distribution is in the class interval of 9.1-19 cm TL. Based on the results of the ANOVA test, it shows that the use of different bait colors has no significant effect on the number of catches

Abstract

Kolaka Regency is one of the areas that has considerable potential in the field of fisheries which must be utilized as well as possible. One of the utilization of fisheries potential is the operation of basic longlines. Until now, it is not known what factors affect the catch of fish on longlines. Information on factors affecting longline catch is needed so that fishing operations can run optimally. The purpose of this study was to determine the variables that affect the longline catch. The variables analyzed in this study were the length of immersion, the size of the bait, the number of hooks, temperature and salinity. This research was conducted for two months, namely in November-December 2021 in Bone Bay waters, around Kolakaasi Village, Kolaka Regency. The data analysis methods used are curve estimation regression analysis and principal component analysis (PCA). Result of the research are  factors that affect bottom longline catch are temperature and salinity. The results of PCA analysis also show that there is a strong relationship between temperature and salinity factors on the amount of bottom longline catches in the waters around Kolakaasi Village seen from the contribution value of these two factors, namely temperature and salinity  is included in the strong category. This relationship shows that the temperature and salinity values affect the amount of bottom line catch.

Abstract

Cuaca merupakan komponen penting dalam kegiatan operasional penangkapan ikan. Nelayan di Kelurahan Kolakaasi, Kabupaten Kolaka sering kali tidak dapat melakukan operasi penangkapan karena perubahan cuaca yang dapat meningkatkan resiko bahaya. Tujuan dari penelitian ini adalah untuk mengetahui dinamika cuaca di perairan sekitar Kelurahan Kolakaasi, musim penangkapan ikan dengan pancing tonda, pengaruh perubahan curah hujan dan kecepatan angin terhadap jumlah trip penangkapan, serta mengetahui strategi adaptasi nelayan pancing tonda dalam menghadapi perubahan cuaca. Data yang digunakan meliputi data primer yaitu strategi adaptasi nelayan dan data sekunder yaitu curah hujan, kecepatan angin, jumlah hasil tangkapan, dan jumlah trip perbulan. Metode yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah metode survei dengan teknik wawancara menggunakan kuisioner. Jumlah responden yang diwawancara sebanyak 10 orang. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa selama periode 2016-2020 curah hujan tertinggi terjadi pada bulan Juni, sedangkan terendah terjadi pada bulan Agustus. Kecepatan angin tertinggi terjadi pada bulan Agustus dan Desember, sedangkan yang terendah terjadi pada bulan Februari. Musim penangkapan pancing tonda terjadi pada bulan April hingga Oktober dengan musim puncak penangkapan terjadi pada bulan Juni. Hasil analisis menunjukkan bahwa kecepatan angin dan curah hujan mempunyai pengaruh yang rendah terhadap jumlah trip. Pada saat cuaca buruk nelayan tetap melaut dengan melakukan beberapa strategi adaptasi, yaitu pindah lokasi penangkapan, mengganti alat tangkap atau metode pengoperasian alat tangkap, dan mengurangi jumlah trip.

Abstract

ABSTRACT Wameo Fish Landing Base (PPI Wameo) contribution an important role in supporting fisheries in Baubau City. Fishing industry activities are centered at PPI Wameo, but this important role is still constrained by the lack of optimal facilities in its operations. The objectives of this research are to: 1). Identify the installed capacity and utilization of existing facilities at PPI Wameo. 2). Estimating the needs of several PPI Wameo facilities. This research was conducted in Oktober-December 2022, at the Wameo Fish Landing Base (PPI), Wameo Village, Baubau City, Southeast Sulawesi Province. The data collected in this study are primary and secondary data. Capacity and utilization rates were obtained through observation and comparison between utilization or current needs with available capacity. The results showed that the pier has a length of 15 meters while what is needed is 105,7 meters with an utilization rate of 704%, a pond depth of 2.0 meters while is needed is 2,9 meters with an utilization rate of 145%, the area of the TPI building is 384 m2 while is needed is 378,9 m2 with an utilization rate of 98.6%, 4.96 tons of ice while is needed is 15,4 tons with a utilization rate of 311% , 15,000 liters of clean water/day while is needed is 13.141 liters with a utilization rate of 87.3%, and 7.500 liters of fuel while is needed is 7.065 liters with a utilization rate of 94%. Suggestions from this research are the need for capacity building of existing facilities, where some facilities have insufficient capacity for operations. Keywords: Fishing Port Facilities, PPI Wameo, Utilization Level.. ABSTRAK Pangkalan Pendaratan Ikan Wameo (PPI Wameo) berperan penting dalam menunjang perikanan di Kota Baubau. Aktivitas industri perikanan terpusat di PPI Wameo, namun peran penting tersebut masih terkendala dengan adanya fasilitas yang kurang maksimal dalam pengoperasiannya. Tujuan dari penelitian ini adalah untuk: 1). Mengidentifikasi kapasitas yang terpasang dan pemanfaatan fasilitas yang ada di PPI Wameo. 2). Mengestimasi kebutuhan beberapa fasilitas PPI Wameo. Penelitian ini dilaksanakan pada bulan Oktober-Desember 2022, di Pangkalan Pendaratan Ikan (PPI) Wameo, Kelurahan Wameo, Kota Baubau Provinsi Sulawesi Tenggara. Data yang dikumpulkan dalam penelitian ini yaitu data primer dan sekunder. Kapasitas dan tingkat pemanfaatan diperoleh melalui pengamatan dan membandingkan antara pemanfaatan atau kebutuhan saat ini dengan kapasitas yang tersedia. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa dermaga memiliki panjang 15 meter sedangkan yang dibuthkan 105,7 meter dengan tingkat pemanfaatan 704%, kedalaman kolam 2,0 meter sedangkan yang dibutuhkan 2,9 meter dengan tingkat pemanfaatan 145%, luas gedung TPI 384 m2 sedangkan yang dibutuhkan378,9 m2 dengan tingkat pemanfaatan 98,6%, es 4,96 ton sedangkan yang dibutuhkan 15,4 ton dengan tingkat pemanfaatan 311%, air bersih 15000 liter/hari sedangkan yang dibutuhkan 13.141 liter/hari dengan tingkat pemanfaatan 87,3%, dan BBM 7500 liter sedangkan yang dibutuhkan 7065 liter/hari dengan tingkat pemanfaatan 94%. Saran dari penelitian ini adalah perlu adanya pengembangan kapasitas fasilitas yang ada, dimana beberapa fasilitas mempunya kapasitas yang tidak mencukupi untuk operasional. Abstract

Floating lift net is a fishing gear that is classified into the lift net group. The main parts of the floating liftnet are the net, the liftnet house, and the lights as attractor . In addition to the strength of the light, it is believed that the color of the light will affect the fish's response considering that the visual abilities of each type of fish are different. Based on this, this research was conducted to know: 1) the number of catches using different underwater light colors; 2) the effectiveness of each color of light on the catch. The research was conducted from May to June 2022 in Lande Bay, Gerak Makmur Village, South Buton. The research was carried out using experimental fishing methods by conducting 15 attempts of catching alternately on 2 underwater light colors (yellow and blue). The results showed that the total catch for the yellow lights was 66.808 kg (72%) and the blue ones were 25.650 kg (28%). There were 10 species of fish caught consisting of 10 species caught on yellow lights and 9 species caught on blue lights. The three types of fish that were dominant in the 2 colors of the lights were anchovies (Stolephorus Sp), sardinella (Sardinella Sp), bigeye scad (Selar crumenophthalmus). Based on the proportion of total weight, it shows that the yellow dye is more effective (72%), compared to the blue dye (28%).

Abstract

Penelitian ini dilakukan di Linsowu Kecamatan Kulisusu Kabupaten Buton Utara selama periode bulan Juli sampai Agustus 2018. Tujuan penelitian untuk menganalisis kelayakan finansial menggunakan alat tangkap sero, mengetahui pola pemasaran hasil tangkapan sero per bulan. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode sensus dengan jumlah responden nelayan tangkap sero 15 orang. Pengumpulan data primer yang dilakukan melalui wawancara langsung menggunakan kuisioner. Data primer yang dikumpulkan antara lain pengeluaran untuk perahu, mesin, jaring sero, tali, tiang, jangkar, tali jangkar, BBM, oli, jumlah hasil tangkapan per bulan, harga penjualan ikan, umur, tingkat pendidikan dan jumlah tanggungan keluarga, sedangkan data sekunder terdiri atas jumlah penduduk desa dan iklim yang berkaitan dengan penelitian ini. Data yang diperolej di analisis menggunakan rumus kelayakan P=(TR/TC). Hasil analisis ditemukan bahwa : (1) kelayakan yang diperoleh nelayan tangkap sero rata-rat sebesar 2,69 per bulan. Data tersebut menunjukkan bahwa usaha nelayan tangkap sero layak karena TR > TC.

Abstract

Boat liftnet is a fishing gear that is classified into the lift net group. The main part of this fishing gear consists of nets and fish collecting tools in the form of lights. This study aims to determine the types of boat liftnets caught using petromax lamps and LED lights; find out the number of catches on boat liftnet using petromax lights and LED lights and to find out the differences in catches on boat liftnet between those using petromax lights and LED lights in Kapontori Water. The research was carried out from July to September 2022 using experimental fishing techniques. The data were collected consists of the total weight of the catch and the types of fish caught on each fishing for 20 trips. The results showed that the types of catches of boat liftnet using LED lamps were more diverse than those using petromax lamps with a total of 13 species of fish obtained by LED lamps and 9 species of petromax lamps. The number of catches on boat liftnet that use LED lights is higher than of boat liftnet that use petromax lights. The total catches of the net using LED lights were 875.1 kg and the petromax lights were 49.13 kg with the dominant catch being the same species of anchovy (Stolephorus sp), there were differences in the catches of the boat liftnets using petromax lights and LED lights. LED lamps has more catches than petromax lamps

Abstract

Kendari PPS Ocean Fishing Port is an integrated fishing industry center in eastern Indonesia and especially in Southeast Sulawesi. Having high activity and productivity makes the port face environmental problems. The current problem at Kendari PPS is that there is still some plastic waste in the harbor pool, ship activity mooring at Kendari PPS causing used waste in the harbor pool and other problems, namely the decline in environmental quality due to activities at Kendari PPS. Based on these problems, it is necessary to make changes regarding the environmental conditions of the port through an assessment of the conditions in the Kendari PPS. This research aims (1). Knowing the status of environmental management in PPS Kendari based on ecological aspects. The research was conducted in November 2022 - January 2023 with data collection locations at the Kendari Ocean Fishing Port. The approach used to overcome the problems in this study is to examine environmental management conditions by giving a score from each analysis to measure parameters that are in accordance with the eco-fishingport concept. The results showed that the Kendari PPS environmental management status was based on the concept of eco-fishingport parameters on the ecological aspect, that is, of the three parameters of the ecological aspect, only the green open space (RTH) parameter did not meet the eco-fishingport concept and the port pool water quality parameters needed to be increased so as to achieve eco-fishing port concept. PPS Kendari needs to prioritize improving port management which is considered a priority, such as controlling and monitoring the quality of the harbor pond waters, as well as adding tree planting in vacant land areas to add a calm and comfortable impression.

Abstract

This research aims to identify fish type, fish length, and total catch differences of bottom traps operated in the Wakante River, Lawa District, Muna Barat. The research was carried out from April to May 2023. The method used was experimental fishing by 20 trips bottom traps operation. The data collected includes the design and specifications of fishing gear, fish type, fish individual length, and the number of individuals caught of every trip.  The result of the research shows that there were 5 types of fish in both traditional and modern trap name three spot cichlid (Amphilopus sp.), mozambique tilapia (O. niloticus), nile tilapia (O. mosambicus), three spot gourami (T. trichopterus), and silver barb (B. gonionotus).  Besides that, there is one type of freshwater crabs (Terrathelupsa sp.) which is caught in modern traps. Fish length caught of both fishing gears was dominated by fish longer than Lm, with a proportion around 55.17% of traditional traps and 58.64% of modern traps.  Based on the result of statistical analysis, there is no number differences of catch between traditional and modern traps.
