Abstract

Within the intricate structure of global political landscapes, the nation of Turkey emerges as a captivating subject of study, particularly when examining its progressive secularism and the complex interplay of socio-political dynamics. This study aims to examine the fundamental structural factors that surround the implementation of Turkey's present political secularism, while also employing Habermas' proposed notion of a post-secular society as an approach to address and resolve these intricacies. This study utilizes a qualitative research methodology by doing literature studies and relying on secondary data for data collection. The findings of this study suggest that Habermas's notion of a post-secular society has the potential to develop a sociopolitical structure that is more democratic and inclusive in the setting of Turkey where it is being investigated.

Abstract

The crisis happening in Venezuela is a humanitarian crisis that affects political instability and local economics. This economic crisis is caused by reducing the cost of oil supply. Besides, the political crisis began with internal problems between the government and the opponent, exacerbating the situation. It brings attention to developing countries to get into this crisis dynamic, such as Russia. In Venezuela's crisis, Russia offered material support and morality to Nicolas Maduro's government. Thus, Russia attempts to support Maduro from international claims. This research intends to analyze the reasons behind Russia's supporting Nicolas Maduro in the Venezuela Crisis by using the constructivism theory of Alexander Wendt. Based on research results, showed 3 variables that explain Russia's involvement in the Venezuela crisis. Firstly, interdependence is related to corporation dependence between Russia and Venezuela. Second, homogeneity, is based on both the same background. Lastly, common fate is based on the same destiny and adversary between Russia and Venezuela.

Abstract

Many nations in the global arena are undergoing state system reforms to enhance their countries' conditions. Many nations employ anarchic systems, although the question remains if these state systems will outperform other countries in terms of efficiency. This concept is strongly connected to Alexander Wendt’s statement regarding the nature of anarchy being determined by the state. This statement is strongly connected to Alexander Wendt’s assertion that anarchy is determined by the actions and policies of the state. This study aims to analyse the conceptual framework of these terms and explore the significance of Alexander Wendt’s remarks, particularly their connection to an improved state structure. This study employs a qualitative methodology, utilising several reviews of literature for collecting data. The analysis of this study suggests that Alexander Wendt employs a constructivist framework that will subsequently change the global system for the better. This is because the state is unable to function independently without external intervention, thus requiring transformative changes.

Abstract

Abstract

Robert Cox's assertion that “theory is always for someone and for and some purpose" is a fundamental tenet of political science and international relations, emphasizing the inherent subjective and purposeful nature of theoretical frameworks. This study critically examines Cox's contribution to International Relations (IR) through critical theory. This study is based on a qualitative research approach and uses an extensive literature review to gather relevant information, thorough analysis of existing journals and books, providing a comprehensive understanding of Cox's critical theory and its impact on the field of IR. The finding of this study highlights the need for continued evaluation of Cox popular IR theory and the application of Cox's theoretical foundations to deepen understanding of the world. Cox's critical theory brings new perspectives and contributes significantly to the diversity of theoretical frameworks in IR.
