Abstract

Social media has become a primary platform for people to voice their opinions on national issues, including in the field of sports. One of the hotly discussed issues is the dismissal of the Indonesian National Team coach, Shin Tae-Yong. This study aims to analyze public sentiment towards the dismissal through social media platform X (formerly known as Twitter) using two machine learning algorithms, namely Naïve Bayes and Support Vector Machines (SVM). Data was obtained through a crawling process using the keyword pecat shin tae-yong, then carried out pre-processing stages such as cleaning, tokenizing, stopword removal, and stemming. The evaluation process was carried out using a confusion matrix to measure accuracy, precision, recall, and F1-score. The classification results show that the Naïve Bayes model produces an accuracy of 92.91%, while the positive precision value is 81.33%, and the negative precision is 100%. Meanwhile, the SVM (Support Vector Machine) model provided more optimal results with an accuracy of 97.97%, a positive precision of 96.72%, a negative precision of 98.53%, and a positive recall of 96.72% and a negative recall of 98.53%. Based on these results, it can be concluded that the SVM algorithm performed better in analyzing public opinion regarding the coach's dismissal issue. This research is expected to contribute as a reference data-based public opinion monitoring system for more transparent public policymaking.

Abstract

In the increasingly advanced digital era, competition in the e-commerce world requires companies to understand customer behavior in depth in order to maintain loyalty and increase sales. This study aims to segment e-commerce customers by applying the K-means clustering algorithm using RFM (Recency, Frequency, Monetary) analysis. Customer transaction data is processed through pre-processing stages such as data cleaning and normalization, then the K-means algorithm is applied to group customers into homogeneous segments based on their purchasing behavior characteristics. Optimal grouping is obtained using the Silhouette Score evaluation metric, resulting in three main customer segments. The results of this segmentation can help companies design more effective and focused marketing strategies according to the needs of each customer segment.

Abstract

This study aims to examine the role of Instagram in shaping and expressing adolescent self-identity in the digital era, with a focus on Cilegon City. Adolescence is a pivotal stage of identity development, where social media functions as a space for self-presentation, social validation, and relationship-building. Employing a qualitative approach with a phenomenological method, this research involved five adolescents aged 16–20 who were purposively selected based on their active Instagram use and engagement in digital interactions. Data were collected through account observation, in-depth interviews, and documentation of Instagram activities. The findings indicate that Instagram is utilized to construct an ideal self-image, express values and emotions, and gain social acknowledgment. However, the pressure to maintain a perfect appearance also triggers psychological risks such as anxiety and a disconnect between online and offline identity. These results demonstrate that Instagram serves not only as a medium for expression but also as a complex social arena in adolescent identity formation. The study underscores the necessity of digital guidance and adaptive media literacy to support adolescent mental health.

Abstract

This study aims to critically analyze the importance of ethics in the regulation and policy of digital media to enhance public awareness in the information age. The research employs a literature review method by analyzing policy documents, legislation, and previous studies related to the implementation of the Electronic Information and Transaction Law (UU ITE) in Indonesia. The findings reveal a gap between legal norms and digital practices in society, as indicated by multiple interpretations of legal articles, low digital literacy, unequal access to technology, and weak protection of digital rights, including privacy and data control. The analysis highlights that ethical, user-centric, and inclusive policies—supported by digital literacy and multi-stakeholder participation—can improve digital rights protection and public awareness. This study recommends the reformulation of digital media policies to be more ethical, inclusive, and responsive as an effort to build a fair, democratic, and civilized digital ecosystem.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze regulations and communication policies in the Free Nutritious Meal Program (MBG), focusing on the effectiveness of regulations as guidelines for regional implementers and communication barriers that interfere with implementation. Using a literature study and a descriptive qualitative approach, the data were analyzed thematically through relevant documents. The results show that the implementation of the program is still constrained by the absence of technical regulations, weak communication strategies, and low community participation. Other obstacles include the lack of operational guidelines, differences in understanding between implementers, digital divides, and low communication literacy. Therefore, this study recommends the need for a reformulation of communication policies that are inclusive, participatory, based on local culture, and supported by digital technology. This strategy is expected to strengthen the effectiveness of the implementation of the MBG program and encourage the creation of fair, equitable, and sustainable development in various regions of Indonesia.

Abstract

This research aims to analyze Kopi Kenangan's marketing communication strategies through YouTube content, as well as to identify obstacles in consistently achieving the Top of Mind position in Indonesia's coffee shop market until 2025, considering fluctuations in its Top Brand Award index. This study employs a qualitative approach with a case study on Kopi Kenangan. Data were collected through triangulation: (1) an in-depth content analysis of three "Endgame" podcast series featuring Edward Tirtanata on YouTube (September 2020), (2) in-depth interviews with nine informants (three store managers, three store employees from ARION, MOI, and SPBU outlets, and three customers), and (3) documentation study on Kopi Kenangan's business development. Data analysis was conducted using the frameworks of Marketing Communication Theory and Push-Pull-Pass Marketing Communication Strategy Theory. The research findings identify Kopi Kenangan's marketing communication pattern as an integrated hybrid model. This model effectively combines digital push strategies through application notifications and social media promotions (implicitly including YouTube), with pull strategies focused on brand storytelling, in-store experiential marketing, and product education. Additionally, there is strong personal communication (pass strategy) from store staff, as well as extensive collaboration with delivery platforms to expand reach. Edward Tirtanata's disruptive vision also serves as the foundation for the strategically conveyed brand narrative. Although this pattern is effective in building awareness and driving purchases, consistent Top of Mind status is still hindered by internal inconsistencies in message delivery by employees, challenges in micro-level communication adaptation based on location, and the need to strengthen a unique and consistent brand narrative through storytelling content on YouTube to create cognitive dominance in consumers' minds.

Abstract

\The fierce competition in the financial sector pushes institutions like BTPN Syariah to ensure their human resources remain capable and efficient. Assessments of work performance, often done manually and based on subjective judgment, fall short in reflecting employee productivity fully. For that reason, the current study seeks to examine daily productivity patterns among BTPN Syariah employees at the Solokan Jeruk Branch using the K-Medoids clustering approach. This technique groups employees according to clear productivity measures, including attendance rates, target achievements, time management, and teamwork roles. The findings reveal two distinct groups with varying work patterns, allowing management to grasp each group’s traits objectively and craft better-suited development plans. The study also supports data-based decision-making in workforce management while aiding in enhancing efficiency and service quality for customers.
