Abstract

HIV/AIDS is a global health problem due to difficulty in spread detection. HIV spread is not visible directly, the symptoms will arise in 10-15 years. Adolescence is the period that is predicted as the highest exposure time in HIV. Self-management based on the mobile-phone app could be used to optimize the  adolescents’ protection ability in HIV/AIDS. This activity aims to improve adolescent soft skills on using cheap and effective mobile-phone apps to optimize adolescent productivity. Implementation methods are using online learning through video conference, focusing on the use of Self management applications: Smarter time on their activities and overview of HIV/AIDS. The results that they can understand the use of smarter time in time management and daily activity targets. Smarter time can be used as a reminder system. One of the recommended features is the focus mode that allows adolescents to manage the used apps in their mobile phones while being focused on activities without interruption of any other application activities especially social media. Increasing adolescent productivity also can increase positive behavior in leisure time and reduce the risk factors of HIV/AIDS.

Abstract

Background: Gout arthritis or often known by the public as uric acid is a degenerative problem that attacks the joints and is most often found in society, especially in the elderly. Often found complaints of joint pain in gout sufferers, the way to deal with pain is by warm compresses of red ginger. The goal is to reduce pain and improve blood circulation. Methods: Case study by providing nursing care to Mrs.S who is 60 years old with complaints of joint pain. Results: Based on a case study conducted by the author for 7 days, joint pain due to increased uric acid was reduced from pain scale 5 to scale 1. Conclusion: Giving red ginger warm compresses regularly can inhibit prostaglandin synthesis so as to reduce joint pain or tension muscle because it contains olerasin, namely gingerol, zingeron and shogaol.

Abstract

Background : Hypertension causes the aorta and large arteries to reduce their ability to accommodate the volume of blood pumped by the heart, resulting in a decrease in heart rate. To overcome a decrease in cardiac output, this is by providing classical music therapy. Objective: This study aims to find out the description of nursing care for patients with reduced cardiovascular function and hypertension with the implementation of music listening therapy. Methods: This research was conducted using a case study. Results: The results of the assessment showed that the client said he had a history of hypertension, felt headache, shoulder and leg pain, was worried about his illness, and tired quickly. A nursing diagnosis of acute pain, ineffective health care and obesity was obtained. The intervention is by providing music therapy and health education. Conclusion: After carrying out these actions, the results showed that the problem of pain and health maintenance, while the problem of obesity was partially resolved. The evaluation results showed blood pressure in the range of 130/90 mmHg.

Abstract

The large proportion of adolescent population leads teenagers into groups at risk and vulnerable to health problems, namely smoking, alcohol consumption, drug consumption, depression or risk of suicide, emotional, physical problems, school problems, and sexual behavior. Based on this case, health promotion needs to be carried out through counseling or health education regarding efforts to improve adolescents’ self-resilience in facing adolescent problems.  This research was conducted by providing training in the form of pre-test, role play, and post-test. The research subjects consisted of 19 adolescents with the characteristics of the respondents consisted of age, occupation, knowledge, and attitude. The research result showed that knowledge of the adolescents after receiving counseling and training regarding to efforts to improve adolescent self-resilience in facing the risks of teenager sexual behavior increased to 5.26% (from 26.31% pre-test results and post-test results to 31.57 %). Meanwhile, the attitude towardfamily awareness increased to 10.52% from the results of the pre-test which were not in the good category, and the results of the post-test to 10.52%). The conclusion from the research results was that there was an improvement in knowledge and attitude, both before and after counseling and training actions which were carried out regarding the efforts to improve adolescent self-resilience in facing the Risks of teenage Sexual Behavior.

Abstract

Background : Hypertension is an increase in blood pressure in the arteries, where systolic blood pressure is above 140 mmHg and diastolic blood pressure is above 90 mmHg. In general, when someone suffers from hypertension, signs and symptoms will appear, one of which is head or neck pain. Head or neck pain can interfere with daily activities. One non-pharmacological action to reduce or treat headaches or neck pain is to apply a warm ginger compress. Objective: This study aims to find out the effect of warm compress is the provision of a feeling of warmth in a certain area, where the warm compress given is able to dilate the blood vessels and the oxygen supply becomes smooth and relieves tension, as a result the pain can be reduced. Methods: Data obtained from the results of the study, namely Mrs. M with acute pain problems. Results: After nursing care for 3 days, the scale before administering the warm ginger compress was moderate pain level (scale 5). And after giving a warm ginger compress there was mild pain (scale 2). Conclusion: So it can be concluded that warm ginger compresses are effective in reducing pain in hypertensive patients.

Abstract

Background : Schools, as sites of teaching and learning, are intended to evolve into Health Promotion Schools. Objective : This activity aim to provide balanced nutrition health education which can optimize growth and development in school-aged children. Methods : The method of activity is community empowerment, which is accomplished through a series of health promotion. Result : This activity is useful for increasing students' knowledge, attitudes and behavior who can implement my food plate with a balanced nutritional pattern. Health promotion also plays a vital part in shaping food environments and access to healthy options. Through initiatives like school meal programs, community gardens, and partnerships with local businesses, health promotion efforts can ensure nutritious foods are available and affordable for all children, regardless of socioeconomic status. Conclusion : The nurse in charge of the UKS should carry out regular health promotions.

Abstract

Background: Anxiety is a mental problem that is often experienced by people in everyday life, especially those who experience physical illnesses such as hypertension. Objective: Writing this report is intended to provide nursing interventions for nurses, family psychoeducation and thought stopping (TS) therapy so that clients can control anxiety, and the family's ability to care for anxious clients. Methods: Nursing actions for 1 hypertensive client with anxiety were reported in the form of a case series carried out in four meetings (five sessions). Results:  There were a decrease in signs of anxiety symptoms experienced due to trauma from an event. There is an increase in the client's ability to control anxiety and the family's ability to care for the client. Conclusion: This study is evidence based on the effectiveness of nursing actions by nurses and specialist nurses for clients with anxiety who require further evaluation with a larger sample size and more frequent meetings. In addition, it is necessary to research anxiety clients with physical illnesses by applying a combination of other therapies, such as cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT).
