Abstract

Satisfaction of the patient's family with nursing care in the hospital is very important in providing an overall picture of the quality of health services, especially in the children's room. This study aims to determine the Patient's Family Perception of the Satisfaction of Nursing Care Services in the Covid-19 Era in the Children's Room of the Indramayu Hospital. This research is a quantitative research using descriptive method. The population in the study amounted to 265, with a sample of 100 respondents. The results of the study illustrate that 10% of respondents are satisfied with the Nursing Care Service, 7% are satisfied based on the reliability dimension, 21% are satisfied based on the responsiveness dimension, 8% are satisfied based on the assurance dimension, 67% are satisfied based on the empathy dimension, and 39% are satisfied based on the tangible dimension. The results of these studies have not reached the standard according to the Decree of the Minister of Health Number 129/Menkes/SK/II/2008 concerning Minimum Service Standards for Hospitals. For this reason, hospitals can carry out regular evaluations to find out what must be improved and maintained in the services provided so that hospitals can achieve better quality standards by making continuous quality improvements every three months with one month of data collection.

Abstract

Background : Various activities in schools almost always produce waste. The waste generated from the school environment can be in the form of organic or inorganic waste. Accumulated waste can cause environmental pollution and can cause disease outbreaks. Garbage such as paper, leaves, or even leftover food from student supplies has not been managed properly by students. The garbage is still collected in the same trash can so that it can cause an unpleasant odor and interfere with the learning process. To reduce this, many approaches can be taken, such as more efficient waste management, recycling waste, and reducing waste use. Method: Health promotion activities are carried out using the extension method by providing material on good and correct waste segregation. The instrument used was a questionnaire to measure knowledge using frequency data distribution analysis. Result: Through this health promotion the level of students' knowledge about waste sorting has increased quite a bit. Conclusion: This health promotion can increase students' knowledge. It is hoped that this increase in knowledge will be followed by changes in the behavior of all school members. Schools should support this movement and facilitate the school community in sorting waste.

Abstract

Background: Chronic kidney disease (CKD) is a progressive and irreversible impairment or decrease in kidney function, occurring gradually over three months or more as a result of permanent damage to the kidney structure. One of the management for patients with CKD is hemodialysis therapy which replaces kidney function to eliminate the remnants of protein metabolism products and remove excess fluid and electrolytes through hemodialysis machines, and artificial kidneys (dialyzer). One of the major problems that contribute to failure in the management of hemodialysis therapy is patient compliance. Objective: This study was conducted to identify adherence to hemodialysis therapy in CKD patients in Bandung City Hospital. Methods: research design using descriptive analysis on 44 respondents with purposive sampling technique. Data collection using the End Stage Renal Disease–Adherence Questionnaire (ESRD-AQ) questionnaire. Univariate data analysis using frequency distribution. Results: In CKD patients undergoing hemodialysis therapy at the Bandung City Hospital as many as 33 respondents (75%) were compliant and 11 people (25%) were not compliant in undergoing hemodialysis therapy. The domains of adherence of CKD patients who were most adhered to by respondents were therapy attendance (75%), shortening duration (79.55%), length of time shortening therapy (79.55%), and medication adherence (52.27%). Conclusion: most of the patients were obedient in undergoing hemodialysis therapy. The suggestion from this study is that the hospital should include an assessment of the level of compliance of patients undergoing hemodialysis therapy as an additional domain in indicators of the quality of health services in the hemodialysis room of the Bandung City Hospital.
