Abstract

This community service program was implemented at Klinik Wonosari Aek Kanopan, a micro-enterprise in Aek Kanopan Village, Kualuh Hulu  District, North Labuhanbatu Regency, which faced a major issue of limited financial literacy of a systematic recording system. Thus, this community service activity aims to increase the knowledge of business actors in managing business finances, in order to obtain optimal business financial performance.The activities consisted of preliminary surveys, training, mentoring, and evaluation, focusing on the separation of personal and business finances, transaction recording, Cost of Goods Sold (COGS) calculation, and simple profit–loss analysis. The results indicated a significant improvement in the business owner’s understanding, with a 38% increase in the post-test score compared to the pre-test. Furthermore, the business began implementing real-time financial records, evaluating sales targets, and determining prices based on factual data. These findings highlight the importance of financial literacy in supporting the sustainability of micro-enterprises and their contribution to family welfare and the local economy.

Abstract

Bullying in schools remains a serious issue that affects student’s psychological wellbeing, academic performance, self-confidence, empathy and moral values which should ideally develop optimally so it is very important to a comprehensive strategy to help teenager to repair an affect and their moral to understanding cultural diversity and positive contribution. Therefore the community Service (PKM) is used an effort to strengthen moral values as a strategy to prevent bullying. The community service method used was a descriptive qualitative approach. The subject in community service were students in grade XI and XII Mas Al-Ittihad Aek Nabara. The data collection techniques is observation, discussion and question answer. The result of this community service showed that indicate an improvement in students' understanding of the definition of bullying, its various forms, and its negative impacts. Furthermore, students demonstrated increased awareness of the importance of empathy, tolerance, and mutual respect as efforts to prevent bullying. Consequently, this educational program through character education is effective in supporting the creation of a safe, comfortable, and conducive school environment for the learning process.

Abstract

Student motivation and response are important factors in supporting the success of the learning process in elementary schools. However, based on the results of initial observations in Class V MIS Al-Washliyah Sei Mencirim, it was found that student responses were still low, marked by a lack of student activity and enthusiasm in participating in learning. Therefore, this community service activity aims to improve student responses and learning motivation through the use of digital wordwall media. This activity was carried out on 24 fifth grade students. The methods used included observation, interviews, and the use of learning technology in the form of wordwall media. Wordwall media was applied in the learning process by presenting materials and questions in the form of interactive games. The results of the activity showed that the use of wordwall media was able to improve student responses, seen from increased student activity in answering questions, involvement during learning, and enthusiasm in participating in learning activities. In addition, the results of interviews with teachers and students showed that learning became more interesting and enjoyable. Thus, the use of digital wordwall media can be used as an alternative effective learning media to improve student responses and learning motivation in elementary schools.
