Abstract

KUA (Religious Affairs Office) is a public institution that represents Islamic religious affairs to officially marry a couple (man and woman) in the eyes of the law in Indonesia. KUA is a public institution organized by the government which carries out some of the tasks of the Regency and City Ministry of Religion, especially in the field of Islamic religious affairs, Tanjung Tiram District, Batu Bara Regency. The duties of the Tanjung Tiram District KUA include marriage registration and reconciliation services in the Tanjung Tiram District location. Apart from providing good service to the community, it is also necessary to record marriage data and references that are integrated on an application basis. Based on data in the field, the process of recording marriages and reconciliations still uses paper media as data archives, so it takes a long time to search for data in making reports. The system for processing marriage registration data and making reports also makes it easier for people who want to register for marriage registration. The software system development uses Visual Basic as the programming language and Microsoft Access as the database. This application system can provide information regarding the marriage contract schedule and make it easier for the KUA head to report on the implementation of the marriage contract to make institutional policies.

Abstract

The teaching and learning process at the university level is currently not only carried out offline but also online. Some lecturers at universities still have difficulty in creating interesting learning using applications due to limited expertise and sufficient knowledge. Through this service, training will be provided using the kinemaster application for video editing and creating interesting teaching materials on mobile phones and laptops. This service is based on the shortcomings or lack of student interest in monotonous online learning, so with changes in the appearance of interesting teaching materials, students and lecturers can be more active and enthusiastic in the teaching and learning process. To achieve maximum goals, the author identifies problems, determines objectives, activity plans, carries out training and evaluations. The service was attended by 12 participants, carried out online through meetings using the google meet application. The enthusiasm of the service participants was very good, seen from the results of the questionnaire which reached 78% of participants stating that the content of the training material was good, 4 participants thought the delivery of the material was satisfactory and according to needs.

Abstract

In the current digital era, the ability to master information technology is an essential skill that must be possessed by every individual, including students. Introduction and training activities on the use of Google Sites as a digital portfolio are very important and provide great benefits, especially in helping students display their work and academic achievements in a professional and efficient way. This activity is designed to implement a Google Sites introduction and training program for students of SMK PGRI 16 Jakarta, aimed at improving their digital literacy skills and preparing them to face the challenges of the digital age. The approach taken in this activity is through practical training methods carried out interactively, accompanied by question and answer sessions to ensure a comprehensive understanding of the material provided. The results of this activity show a significant increase in students' abilities in creating and managing digital portfolios via Google Sites. This not only enhances their skills in information technology, but also provides them with an effective tool to present themselves and their work to a wider audience. From this activity, it can be seen that the integration of information technology in the world of education, especially through the use of Google Sites as a digital portfolio media, has great potential in increasing digital literacy and the readiness of students and students for future careers.

Abstract

A village is a community unit that has territorial boundaries and has the authority to manage all the interests of residents or local communities. Villages are led by the Village Head who is assisted by village officials and supervised by the Village Consultative Body in accordance with Minister of Home Affairs Regulation number 110/2016 concerning the duties and functions of the BPD. The lack of knowledge of citizens regarding Information Technology such as the operation of Microsoft Word and Excel in terms of writing correspondence is an obstacle in their activities, especially for high school/vocational level students or office workers. The aim of this Microsoft Word and Microsoft Excel training is to improve the quality of Human Resources ( HR) for the people of Sidorejo village, Labuhanbatu Regency. The methods in this training are the discussion method and the practice method. The results of this training show that there has been an increase in the skills of the residents of Sidorejo village, Labuhanbatu district in operating and using Microsoft Word and Microsoft Excel, this can help streamline daily work and increase residents' knowledge about science and technology.

Abstract

Counseling on land evaluation has an important role for the community in Batang Toru Sub District. Education about the importance of land evaluation studies for the community in Batang Toru Sub District is very important to increase awareness and understanding to increase participation and collaboration, supporting sustainable development. This study aims to educate and increase public awareness regarding the importance of land evaluation in land management and use in Batang Toru Sub District. This activity was carried out in Batang Toru Sub District, South Tapanuli Regency, North Sumatra Province. This outreach is carried out through Focus Group Discussion (FGD) activities and interactive discussions involving various stakeholders, including the community, private companies and local governments. The results of the activity show a change in people's understanding of the importance of plant suitability evaluation studies and efforts to maintain land quality as well as mitigation steps that can be taken to preserve the environment. In addition, this outreach succeeded in encouraging active community participation in the land evaluation and planning process, which in turn strengthened cooperation between communities, government and companies. The results of this activity emphasize the importance of sustainable extension as a tool to achieve better land management to support sustainable development in the Batang Toru area. Thus, this extension contributes to better resource management and environmental protection for community welfare.

Abstract

Community Service, Al-Washliyah Tarbiyah College of Science, Binjai City is one of the implications of the Tri Dharma of Higher Education, namely Community Service. It is hoped that PKM for students can be a new learning experience to increase knowledge, abilities and awareness of social life. For the community, the presence of students is expected to provide motivation and innovation in the field of development. Therefore, students must be able to act as a bridge or (communication) in the development and application process (IPTEK).

Abstract

This service aims to shape the character and responsibility of students in using and playing with gadgets (cellphones) that are not good. The method used in this activity is through counseling and outreach to students. The results of this activity are expected to be that students can use their cellphones or gadgets for learning purposes at school, not just for fun and playing games. Because at SMP Negeri 1 Aek, Batu City, many students already have cellphones, which means these cellphones will have a big influence on minors. This cellphone could be a threat to students who are important as the nation's next generation because technological developments in children can create very bad character. Children become addicted to playing on cellphones without time limits. Even though underage children still need education, which is very important for survival. A child's good and bad character can change over time, especially bad character will emerge due to the negative influence of technological developments that are misused by certain individuals. Even parents of a child easily give their child a cell phone to make their child quiet even though this can have an impact. hurry for the child.

Abstract

Economic development of each village is very necessary to improve community welfare. Business actors have an important role in improving the economy of a village. That is Pulo Padang Village is a village located in Rantau Utara sub-district. It has significant potential in increasing the economic value of the community in Pulo Padang village. This service, carried out by the Community Service Team in the village of Pulo Padang sub-district, aims to provide education about making logos (brands) and packaging to business owners of brown sugar made from palm sap with the aim of increasing maximum sales value. Based on the results of Community Service carried out when carrying out community service, it was found that business actors of brown sugar made from palm sap as raw material do not have a logo (brand) and the packaging is not optimal as it should be. The methods used are observation, interviews, problem identification and final results. The final result of this service is the creation of a logo (brand) and brown sugar packaging.

Abstract

One of the farming business groups located in Gapuk Hamlet, Tebing Tinggi Pangkatan Village is a chili cultivator who started his chili farming business in 2018. Chilli cultivation is carried out on an area of 2,800 m2 with a production of 1.5 tons and a total profit of 50 million rupiah during 1 plant life cycle. However, based on the survey results, it is known that the use of chemical fertilizers in the cultivation of chili farming is very large and wasteful, so it can cause many negative impacts, one of which is Fusarium attacks. This activity aims to provide knowledge about the impact of excessive use of chemical fertilizers and chemical pesticides and the benefits of biofertilizers. Efforts to increase knowledge are carried out by providing socialization and interspersed with giving pretests and posttests. The pretest and posttest each contain 10 questions, then the results are calculated using a paired t-test. The results showed significant differences in the two socialization materials, indicating that there were differences in knowledge before and after being given the socialization materials. The paired t-test result for the first material was 0.002837 and the second material was 0.00319. Based on this, it can be said that providing socialization can increase the knowledge of farming business groups in Gapuk Tebing Tinggi Pangkatan Hamlet, Pangkatan District, Labuhanbatu Regency.

Abstract

Fruit trees are used as an alternative for greening in Sidorukun Village. Fruit trees have many benefits. Currently, many people lack food, one of which is a source of vitamins from fruit trees. This study aims to socialize the diversity of fruit trees and to determine the population and dominant types of fruit trees in Sidorukun Village. This activity will be carried out in April 2024 in Sidorukun Village, Pangkatan District, Labuhanbatu Regency. The results of the activity show that the fruit trees in Sidorukun Village consist of Banana, Rambutan, Matoa, Kedondong, Mango, Dragon Fruit, Water Guava, Longan, Lime, Kaffir Lime, Papaya, Durian, Jamaican Guava, Mangosteen, Pineapple, Stone Guava , Sapodilla and Starfruit. The fruit tree populations that dominate Sidorukun Village are the Rambutan, Mango and Banana populations.
