Abstract

The progress of Hassan's attitude and thinking has prompted Muslims to revisit every custom and tradition that has been considered to be well established and taken for granted, as adopted by "traditionalists." Muslims have been challenged to be critical of criticism - his sharp criticism of every action and thought that does not come from the Qur'an and Sunnah. Hassan's challenge to critical thinking does not mean to invite people to anti-dogma. The challenge to secularists in the matter of secular nationalism also does not mean anti-modernity. However, Hassan is critical and upholds rationality based on Islamic teachings. Basically Hassan called on the ummah of Islam to return to the teachings of Islam that has long been forgotten by its own adherents that resulted in the decline and freeze of the ummah. that is the basis for the author to write an article with the title of Hassan Position In Islamic Reform in Indonesia

Abstract

This article is on historiographical analysis about how Ibn Athīr, one of outstanding classical Muslim historians at Memlukites era, explored his sources and contemporary documents to construct his Kāmil fī Tārīkh. As an eyewitness to the chronological events before his subtle eyes, this article tries to value him as an historiogrpher and his remarkable works, to cover up the decline of Ummah during the second period of AbbƗsid era. When the loyalty of devoted believers are divided in the Jum„a attributed to the different pretenders of khilƗfah title, in the same times the dissolutions of its unity became the major problem between Muslims from multiple ethnics, race, sects, blood and stains. The clashes and perpetual conflicts for predominant control over nostra mare Mediterranean Sea between Muslims and Christian kingdoms too had contribution on shaping Muslim position how to react to their lost in the southern part of Iberian Peninsula and islands over the Mediteranean.

Abstract

Kata ruqyah dalam bahasa Arab diartikan sebagai perlindungan ( 112 (الرقية العُوذة . Ibn al-Athīr berkata: “Ruqyah adalah permohonan perlindungan (jampi-jampi) yang dibacakan kepada orang yang terkena penyakit seperti demam, ketakutan dan penyakit-penyakit yang lain.113 Sedangkan Abd al-Razzq mengatakan bahwa ruqyah adalah permohonan perlindungan (jampi-jampi) yang dibacakan pada orang yang terkena penyakit seperti demam, ketakutan (sawan), dan kedengkiandengan maksud untuk mendapatkan kesembuhan

Abstract

Peradaban Islam pernah berjaya pada abad VII-XIV Masehi. Banyak karyakarya besar ilmuwan Muslim antara lain seperti Al Biruni (fisika, kedokteran), Jabir Haiyan (kimia), Al-Khawarizmi (matematika), Al Kindi (filsafat), Ibnu Khaldun (politik, sosiologi), Ibnu Sina (kedokteran), Ibnu Rusyd (filsafat), dan lain sebagainya. Namun kejayaan Islam tersebut disabotase oleh Barat dan diklaim sebagai milik mereka. Barat dengan berbagai ideologi seperti materialisme, kapitalisme, liberalisme, sekularisme dan sebagainya justru gagal dan menenggelamkan peradaban Islam hingga saat ini. Namun, dengan berkembangnya berbagai tesis para tokoh non-Islam seperti Francis Fukuyama dan Samuel P. Huntington yang menyimpulkan berubahnya siklus ideologi dari Barat ke Islam sebagai alternatif ideologi masa depan, ditambah lagi dengan hasil riset Pew Forum on Religion and Public Life Januari 2011 tentang menguatnya jumlah populasi komunitasmuslim dunia yang diprediksi tahun 2030 akan bertambah dua kali lebih cepat dibandingkan penduduk non muslim, maka bukan tidak mungkin peradaban Islam akan lahir dari Indonesia sebagai negara terpadat ke-4 dunia setelah China, India dan Amerika Serikat. Apalagi Indonesia bercirikan pluralistik sama dengan Madinah zaman Rosul. Skenario grand design untuk menata kembali peradaban Islam bisa dimulai dari bumi Indonesia di era mendatang. Ada beragam tawaran solusi konsep, langkah konkret, strategi dan metodologi untuk mengarah pada upaya menata peradaban Islam, antara lain pertama, adanyaperubahan mainsett, kesadaran kolektif serta ketauladanan para tokoh dan pemimpin. Kedua, membangun dialog antar-agama (interfaith dialogue).Ketiga, mengadopsi kultur Nabi di Madinah. Keempat, penegakan supremasi hukum tanpa tebang pilih. Kelima, membumikan sikapinklusifisme. Abstract

Thelarge number of jāriyah owned by the caliphs of Islam ever became phenomenal in the early period (170 H / 786 M-247 H / 861 AD) of Abbasid rule. Thisstudy aims to determine the factors boosting the phenomenon of jāriyah ownership in large number by the caliphs of the Abbasid rulein the early period. In addition, this study also wants to know the purpose of the caliphs in owning jāriyah in large number. This study is a historical research using literature referring to written sources, such as books dealing with the early period of the Abbasid rule, especially the books that deal with the phenomenon of jāriyah ownership in large number. Through historical and sociological approach, with functional-structuralism as a framework, the results of this study indicate that the large number of jāriyah owned by the caliphs of the Abbasid in the early period has a very close relationship with the progress (economic, social, political) achieved by the Abbasid at that time; the legitimacy of the practice of slavery in Islam, the expansion of region (futūhāt), the advance of economic trade-sectors, the advance of entertainment in society, and the influence of Ctesiphon. In addition, jāriyah ownership in large number did not show high sexual desire of the caliphs, but it was only as ymbol of power, as indicated by: it was only people with power who typically have jāriyah in large quantities; strong tradition of gift-reward slaves; and not all jāriyahs laid by their masters (sayyid).

Abstract

Islamic community in Java, rich in heritage that is the legacy of their ancestors, including the legacy of literary works and history. These works, in substance reflects the community's culture, which has a soul that is very unique time and unique. Recognized that Islam in Java grow and develop naturallythrough interaction with local culture. This process continued until the end of Islam that developed in Java known as the Islamic Javanese beliefs, Islam has experienced aculturatif and syncretic. Javanese Islamic model can be traced through the works that have left a legacy, one of whom is the workRanggawarsita, Serat Wirid Hidayat Jati.

Abstract

The significance of history for human life is shown by the use of history as a teacher of life in the future. Because of that historical significance, many communities and nations intensified the writing of history to show their identity and build character of their people. Indonesia also has national history writing, although there are historical problems caused by the political interests of the ruling government. Academic anxiety then appeared among historians that promote objectivity. After the collapse of the New Order regime, a strong desire raised to publish the latest national history (Indonesia dalam Arus Sejarah) in order to fill the shortage of Sejarah Nasional Indonesia. Nevertheless, a reading of Indonesia dalam Arus Sejarah shows that this book has not answered yet all of those historical problems, such as the role of Pattimura and Si Singamangaraja XII in the fight against colonialism, the role of Budi Utomo in the national revival, the role Sjafruddin Prawiranegara and Assaat in the struggle for Indonesian independence, as well as the Movement of 30 September 1965 (G-30-S / PKI). Therefore, Indonesian historians have a moral obligation to make recommendations to the government to review the policy of the government that has very weak historical bases to give historical enlightenment to Indonesian people. In spite of it, the writing of Indonesia dalam Arus Sejarah should be appreciated because the writers have included many themes that were previously not found in Sejarah Nasional Indonesia.
