Abstract

Dental and oral problems based on the results of the Basic Health Research (Riskesdas) in 2018 amounted to 57.6% and 10.2% received services from dental medical personnel, so the effective medical demand for dental treatment was very low. There is a high gap between the decreasing visits and the increasing prevalence of dental caries in the last two years at the Dental Polyclinic of Puskesmas Tamalate Makassar. The purpose of this study was to analyze the relationship between need factors and the utilization of health services at the Dental Polyclinic of Puskesmas Tamalate Makassar 2020. This study was an observational analytic study with a quantitative approach with a cross sectional design. The population in this study were 78 patients who visited the dental polyclinic at Tamalate Makassar Public Health Center. Sampling was done by accidental sampling. Data analysis used Chi Square test and linear regression. The results showed that of the 35 respondents who stated negative perceived need, 11.4% did not take advantage of dental and oral health services and. Meanwhile, of the 43 respondents who stated positive perceived need, 37.2% took advantage of dental and oral health services. Of the 31 respondents who stated that the evaluated need did not agree, as many as 100% did not use dental and oral health services. Meanwhile, of the 47 respondents who stated that the evaluated need agreed as much as 100% used dental and oral health services. The results of statistical tests using the chi-square and linear regression test showed that there was a significant relationship perceived and evaluated need factors on the use of dental and oral health services in a positive direction at the Polyclinic of Puskesmas Tamalate Makassar. Conclusion There was a significant relationship between the need factors on the use of dental and oral health services. Puskesmas were expected to be able to maintain and provide good perceptions to patients about their oral and dental health in order to increase the utilization of health services at the dental polyclinic of Puskesmas Tamalate.

Abstract

Until now, early marriage is still a phenomenon that is often found in Indonesian society, especially in rural areas or known as traditional society. Based on the preliminary results, it was found that two informants experienced the worst impact of early marriage when the baby died at birth and at the age of 1.5 years. The purpose of this study was to obtain information, study and analyze in depth the impact of early marriage on childbirth problems of Butonese teenage girls in Simi Village, Waisama District, South Buru Regency. This type of research is qualitative with a case study approach is the research method used. Qualitative research was used with the intention of examining the impact of early marriage on the health of Butonese teenage girls through in-depth interviews, observation and documentation during the study. The results of this study found that most of the ordinary informants in this study had performed the posuo ritual (pingitan), but most of the informants still felt the health effects of getting married at a young age. Of the 7 regular informants, most of them experienced health problems, namely labor problems, prolonged labor and infant health problems at birth, and death in infants and low birth weight (LBW) and not exclusive breastfeeding. The conclusion of this research is that early marriage has a negative impact on the problem of childbirth for young women of the Buton tribe, both adolescents who do the posuo ritual or those who do not.

Stunting is considered a major concern for children worldwide in public health. Around 149 million children under the age of 5 were affected by stunting in 2018. The purpose of this article is to evaluated health and nutrition programs to identify context-specific intervention packages that may help prioritize the implementation of stunting programs. Methods: Using electronic databases, the literature published between 2009 and 2019 was systematically reviewed, It identified programs in which nutrition-specific and nutrition-sensitive interventions for children under 5 years of age were implemented. Results: 11 programmes identified where nutrition specific and sensitive approaches had been implemented, Nutrition education and counseling, growth monitoring and promotion, immunization, water, sanitation and hygiene, and social security networks were the most common interventions. Conclusions: Programs combining nutrition-specific and nutrition-sensitive interventions, especially those with strong access to health and safety net components, are most effective in reducing stunting.

Abstract

Breast cancer is the most common cancer in women. Chemotherapy is a way of management that can be done in breast cancer patients. Giving chemotherapy can cause physical side effects that have a psychological impact, namely anxiety. Support from family is the most important factor for a person in dealing with health problems and as a preventive strategy in reducing anxiety. This study aimed to determine the relationship between family support and anxiety facing chemotherapy in breast cancer patient at Pelamonia TK II Hospital. The research method used descriptive analytic correlation with a cross sectional study approach. The sample in this study amounted to 48 respondents using total sampling with data collection instruments using a questionnaire sheet. The statistical analysis in this study used an alternative test, namely the Chi Square Test. The results showed that there was a relationship between family support and anxiety facing chemotherapy in breast cancer patients (p value = 0.025), where the p value was less than α = 0.05, then Ha was accepted and H0 was rejected. The conclusion of this study is there is a relationship between family support and anxiety facing chemotherapy in breast cancer patients, meaning that the better family support, the less anxiety. . Therefore, it is expected that nurses will provide positive input to the patient's family regarding the importance of providing support of patients to reduce anxiety facing chemotherapy in breast cancer patients.

Abstract

The problem that often occurs in Diabetes Mellitus is peripheral neuropathy. Peripheral neuropathy can cause sensory sensations in the legs to decrease or even disappear. Flow disturbances in the legs could be detected by measuring the ankle brachial index (ABI), which measures the ratio of the systolic pressure in the arm to the systolic pressure of the lower leg. One of tnon-pharmacological therapy is lower range of motion (ROM). This study aimed to determine whether there is an effect of Range of Motion (ROM) exercise on sensory function and Ankle brachial Index in DM patients. This study was conducted in Tamamaung Health Center, Makassar. It used pre-experimental research method in the form of one-group pretest-posttest design. It was conducted with direct observation by the researchers. The research sample was 15 respondents at Tamamaung Health Center Makassar who met the criteria of inclusion. Analysis of the data used Wilcoxon Signed Ranks test and Paired Sample T-Test. Results of sufficient analysis showed the effect of range of motion exercise on the sensory function and Ankle brachial index in DM patients at Tamamaung Health Center, Makassar. The sensory function was tested using Wilcoxon Signed Ranks test and obtained the value of ρ = 0.001, indicating that value of ρ was smaller than α = 0.05. Thus, for the sensory function, Ha was accepted and H0 was rejected. In addition, the right ABI value was tested using Wilcoxon Signed Ranks Test and obtained the value of ρ = 0.001, while the left ABI value was tested using Paired Sample T Test and obtained the value of ρ = 0.000, indicating that the value of ρ was smaller than α = 0.05. It means that for ABI value, Ha was accepted and H0 was rejected. The results concludes that there is an effect of range of motion exercise on sensory function and Ankle brachial index in diabetes mellitus patients at Tamamaung Health Center, Makassar. It is recommended that there should be educational program and implementation of ROM exercises especially in diabetes mellitus patients.
