Abstract

The group of enzymes known as proteases are widely used in industry. Proteases are chemicals that hydrolyze peptide bonds in proteins into oligopeptides and amino acids. When compared to other sources, such as proteases from animals and plants, proteases from bacteria are the most common. Proteolytic microbes are microorganisms equipped to degrade proteins, producing extracellular protease compounds. This study aims to determine the potential of laundry waste bioremediation agents in producing proteolytic bacteria. The research method is by experimenting directly starting with taking samples of laundry waste, then isolating it to get bacterial colonies, and purifying it so that later it will be easier to get proteolytic bacteria.

Abstract

Mycorrhiza is a type of biological fertilizer that can improve soil health, environmental protection, soil nutrient status and agricultural yields. The demand for tomatoes continues to increase every year along with population growth and in 2021. In order to meet the need for tomato consumption every year, various efforts are being made to continue to increase production through the use of minimal and environmentally friendly output such as the use of mycorrhiza biological fertilizer. This research aims to determine the effect of the use and dosage of mycorrhizal fertilizer on the growth of tomato plants (Lycopersicum esculentum Mill). This research was carried out on Jln Rela, Gg. Danau Toba, No. 16. starting from 10 September 2023 - 11 November 2023. Mycorrhizal fertilizer was given in 2 treatments, namely 5 gr and 10 gr with 2 repetitions each and control (no mycorrhizal fertilizer was given). Providing 10g of mycorrhizal biofertilizer/plant provides the best growth and results for tomato plants with the parameters of plant height and number of leaves.

Abstract

Bayam merupakan suatu tumbuhan yang tergolong ke dalam sayur sayuran yang memiliki nilai gizi yang baik bagi kesehatan makhluk hidup terutama sebagai bahan konsumsi makanan pada manusia. Pertumbuhan bayam hijau (Amaranthus viridis)Dapat dipengaruhi oleh eksterior dan interior tubuh tumbuhan salah satunya adalah dengan pemberian pupuk. Tidak lazim pemupukan merupakan salah satu cara agar mendapatkan pertumbuhan tumbuhan yang baik, salah satunya dengan menggunakan pupuk mikoriza, pupuk mikoriza sendiri merupakan suatu cendawan yang bekerja sebagai pemenuhan kebutuhan hara pada tanaman. Komposisi yang tepat dapat menghasilkan nilai yang sangat baik bagi pertumbuhan tumbuhan bayam hijau (Amaranthus viridis). Penelitian ini dilakukan dengan 3 taraf perlakuan dengan di setiap perlakuan dilakukan 3 kali pengulangan dengan intensitas yang berbeda. Hasil yang didapati setelah 8 minggu melakukan riset, hasil yang paling menonjol didapat pada taraf perlakuan ke 3 dengan hasil yang signifikan didapati pada minggu ke 8 perlakuan 3 tinggi tanaman 34 cm.

Abstract

Leeks (Allium fistulosum L.) are a type of vegetable plant in the genus Allium which is widely cultivated in Indonesia. Scallions are also a plant that is often used as an additional spice in cooking. In general, the production of leek plants (Allium fistulosum L.) really requires a good level of soil fertility where the level of soil fertility is also determined by the microorganisms contained therein. For the living environment such as soil, the presence of microorganisms can determine the level of soil fertility and improve soil conditions. The aim of this research was to examine the effect of mycorrhizal biofertilizer on the growth of leek (Allium fistulosum L.) and determine the effect of mycorrhizal biofertilizer on the growth of leek (Allium fistulosum L.). The method used in the research was a laboratory experiment which was carried out directly by researchers at the Microbiology Laboratory, Medan State University. The results of this research were that the treatment of mycorrhizal fertilizer on leeks had 2 parameters, namely plant height and number of leaves, which had an optimal effect. Based on the average yield data from the yield table, the application of a single mycorrhizal fertilizer to red spinach plants really had a big influence on its growth, where the height and number of leaves obtained each week increased 2 times more.

Abstract

This research aims to determine the dose of mycorrhiza to increase the growth and production of water spinach plants (Ipomea reptans poir). The parameters observed were plant height and number of leaves. The research method used was RAL (Completely Randomized Design), by administering 5 treatments with doses (2.5 grams, 4 grams, 6 grams, 9 grams) and one control treatment. And each treatment with 3 repetitions. The plant height was 80 cm and the largest number of leaves was 36 in the P3 treatment (giving 6 grams of mycorrhiza). Giving a dose of mycorrhiza affects the growth of water spinach (Ipomea reptans poir).

Abstract

Pakan utama ternak sapi adalah rumput segar untuk menunjang produksi disamping pakan penguat (konsentrat). Sapi potong diberi pakan rumput lapang saja tidak memenuhi kecukupan nutrien, untuk itu pada peternak yang memiliki skala usaha ternak banyak, untuk mencukupi kebutuhan pakan hijauan. Penelitian ini dilakukan secara eksperimental selama 14 hari dengan tanggal pembuatan di Jl. Pendidikan, Bandar Setia, Medan Tembung, Medan, Sumatera Utara. penambahan EM4 dalam fermentasi pakan ternak mempengaruhi karakteristik fisik pakan seperti warna, jumlah jamur, dan tekstur. Penggunaan dosis yang berbeda dari EM4 juga memberikan hasil yang berbeda dalam fermentasi, menunjukkan bahwa dosis EM4 memainkan peran penting dalam mengubah karakteristik pakan yang dihasilkan.
