Servitium Smart Journal adalah jurnal peer-review nasional pengabdian kepada masyarakat yang diterbitkan oleh Lembaga Penelitian dan Pengabdian Masyarakat Universitas Klabat. Jurnal Servitium akan tebit 2 kali dalam setahun yaitu bulan April dan Oktober. Makalah yang diterima dalam jurnal Servitium adalah makalah tentang hasil pelaksanaan dari kegiatan pengabdian kepada masyarakat yang dilakukan oleh dosen atau individu dari berbagai latar belakang ilmu (interdisiplin) dengan mengikuti format yang sudah ada. Servitium adalah jurnal yang bersifat daring (on-line) yang didedikasikan untuk publikasi artikel pengabdian kepada masyarakat dengan mengedepankan aspek penerapan ilmu, teknologi, inovasi, studi dampak lingkungan, layanan publik, penelitian berbasis pengabdian kepada masyarakat, penelitian partisipatif yang bermanfaat bagi masyarakat banyak.

Abstract

Mokoditek Village in North Bolaang Mongondow has great agricultural potential, especially in corn and rice production. However, low productivity and limited technology have caused local farmer groups, especially the Singkanaung Farmers Group, to be unable to optimize their agricultural output. This research aims to increase the production capacity and management of farmer groups through the application of appropriate technology and intensive training. The results of the program showed an increase in corn productivity from 3 tons/ha to 4 tons/ha. In addition, financial management training has strengthened the capacity of farmer group members to manage agricultural businesses more efficiently and sustainably.

Abstract

Writing is a skill to express ideas or thoughts in written form. Essay writing is relatively short because it only contains certain topics or reviews in the form of criticism/suggestions or opinions that are delivered coherently and have coherence so that they can be easily understood. Essay topics about culture are intended to foster a sense of love and pride in the local culture of each region. The purpose of this training activity is to train high school/vocational school students to write essays on the theme of local culture. This activity was carried out on August 6, 2024 at SMK Negeri I Tareran Minahasa Selatan. The method used was in the form of training and mentoring in writing essays. The results obtained by all participants or students totaling 75 students have been able to write essays with various local cultural themes. This result is very visible in the increase in competency that students initially did not have, after this training activity, a significant increase was obtained from participants regarding their ability to write essays and produced 75 essays on the theme of culture.  Keywords— Language, Writing, Author, Essay Writing, Local Culture.

Abstract

This Community Service Program was conducted at SMA Negeri 2 Kota Bitung with the aim of enhancing students’ literacy on the basic concepts of Artificial Intelligence (AI), while also fostering awareness regarding ethical and privacy issues in the use of AI-driven technologies in educational settings. The approach employed was an interactive workshop consisting of AI introduction, discussions on digital ethics and privacy, and practical training in designing effective and responsible AI prompts. A total of 27 eleventh-grade students from various academic tracks actively participated in this program. The results of pre-tests and post-tests indicated a significant improvement in students’ understanding of how AI works and its ethical implications. Furthermore, students demonstrated high enthusiasm in crafting contextually relevant prompts for learning purposes. This initiative shows that integrating AI education with a contextual and reflective learning approach can be an effective strategy to develop a generation of students who are not only technologically literate but also ethically conscious in their digital behavior. The program is recommended for replication in other schools as part of a broader effort to strengthen national digital literacy

Abstract

Increasing efficiency in all areas ranging from business activities, health services, and handling of learning in education, by automating all repetitive activities that take time, requires effective handling. For this reason, Artificial Intelligence (AI) is needed to be able to assist in decision making through the analysis of large and complex data, as well as providing more accurate recommendations, thereby increasing productivity in the performance of automation on tasks that do not require creativity, thus allowing humans to focus on more complex tasks. Understanding the importance of strengthening AI knowledge since the time of Senior High School (SLTA), then provision is carried out in order to bring information system technology closer by utilizing basic AI from how to work, think and interact using AI which is formulated through practical guidance on using AI in creating web programming for basic applications as learning, for students at SMA Negeri 2 Bitung.

Abstract

Artificial Intelligence (AI) has rapidly emerged as a central pillar in the transformation of education in the digital age. This program Pengabdian kepada Masyarakat (PKM) aims to introduce AI technology as an innovative tool in developing the academic and non-academic potential of students at SMA Negeri 2 Bitung. This activity is carried out in the form of an interactive introduction, demonstration of the latest AI applications (examples such as ChatGPT, Copilot and Gemini), as well as assistance in the use of AI in personalized learning, development of critical thinking skills, communication, collaboration and even adaptability. The methods used include participatory and problem-based approaches to encourage active involvement of SMA Negeri 2 Bitung students. As a result, students showed improved understanding of AI concepts and their practical applications, along with a growing interest in exploring digital technologies more deeply. With this activity, it is hoped that it can be a starting point for building an AI technology-based learning environment in schools, as well as creating a young generation that is more adaptive and ready to face the challenges of technological change.
