Abstract

Introduction: PMK is part of LBW babies. The purpose of this study was to determine the relationship between knowledge, motivation, and family support with the kangaroo care method at Cimacan Hospital in 2022. Every pregnant woman wants the child she gives birth to have sufficient birth weight because babies with low birth weight (LBW) in addition to requiring more complicated and intensive care also increase infant morbidity and mortality. The purpose of this study was to determine the relationship between knowledge, motivation, and support. Families with the Implementation of Kangaroo Method Treatment at Cimacan Regional Hospital in 2022. Methods: This type of research uses quantitative analysis with a cross-sectional approach. The sample in the study used total sampling. The subjects in this study were mothers who had LBW babies who were treated at Cimacan Hospital in December 2022. This research was carried out in the Perinatology Room of Cimacan Hospital on December 1-12 2022. Results: The results of this study are most of them have a good understanding 39 (78%) most of the respondents are well motivated as many as 36 (72%), and most of the families are supportive 45 (90%) from the results of the chi-square test, the p-value < 0,05 means that there is a relationship between knowledge, motivation, and family support for KMC. Discussion: Then there is a relationship between knowledge, motivation, and family support with KMC.

Abstract

Introduction: One of the nutritional problems faced by Indonesia is the incidence of short toddlers (stunting). Stunting is very important because it will affect human resources in the future. Stunted toddlers are easily infected with diseases and can suffer from degenerative diseases as adults. Stunting is an event characterized by short stature due to chronic malnutrition, as well as a child's appetite pattern which results in poor nutritional status. The purpose of this study was to determine the effect of nutritional evaluation monitoring on the incidence of stunting at the Simpang Rimba Health Center in South Bangka in 2023. Methods: In this study, the authors used the type Qualitative research is a research method used to research natural objects where the researcher is the key instrument, data collection techniques are carried out by triangulation, data analysis is inductive, and qualitative research emphasizes meaning rather than generalization. Results: The results of this study indicate that there is an effect of nutritional evaluation monitoring on the incidence of stunting at the Simpang Rimba Health Center, South Bangka in 2023 based on timeliness. There is an influence of nutritional evaluation monitoring on the incidence of stunting at the Simpang Rimba Health Center in South Bangka in 2023 based on resource utilization and costs. Discussion: This study concludes that there is an effect of nutritional evaluation monitoring on the incidence of stunting at the Simpang Rimba Health Center in South Bangka in 2023 based on timeliness, cycle time, resource utilization, and costs. After that, it can be suggested that it is hoped that the Simpang Rimba Health Center will remain consistent in dealing with existing malnutrition and be more persistent in doing work so that all the goals to be achieved can run optimally.

Abstract

Introduction: Diarrhea occurs worldwide and causes 4% of all deaths and 5% of health loss resulting in disability. Diarrhea remains the leading cause of death in children under 5 years of age in Sub-Saharan Africa. The risk factors for acute diarrhea vary by context and have important implications for reducing the burden of disease. Knowing the relationship between nutritional status, handwashing habits, and waste management with the incidence of diarrhea in toddlers aged 24-59 months at Pagelaran Hospital, Cianjur Regency in 2022. Methods: The research design used quantitative research with a cross-sectional design. The sample of this study was 90 toddlers aged 24-59 months. Results: Most of the respondents experienced abnormal nutritional status as many as 53 people (58.9%), Most of them had the habit of washing their hands properly as many as 58 people (64,4%); and most of the respondents had a good category of waste management as many as 52 people (57,8%); Most of the respondents experienced the incidence of diarrhea was 46 people (51,1%). There was a relationship between nutritional status, hand-washing habits, and waste management with the incidence of diarrhea. Discussion: The expected that this research can provide input, evaluation, and considerations related to Nutritional Status, Handwashing Habits, and Waste Management with Diarrhea.

Abstract

Introduction: Dysmenorrhea is a disease with the most common physical symptoms that occurs in school-age adolescents with an incidence of around 60-90%. One of the treatments is by giving green coconut water and Massage Effleurage. Based on the results of a preliminary study at Citra Nusa High School, Cibinong District, Bogor Regency, around 30 female students experienced dysmenorrhea.  Methods: The research method was a quasi-experimental design with a pre-test and post-test control group design, a sample size of 30 respondents, technique of purposive sampling. The research instrument used a Visual Analog Scale (VAS) questionnaire. Data is primary data analyzed using Mann-Whitney.  Results: The results of the study mean mild dysmenorrhea given green coconut water before 2,33 and after 0.67, the average mild dysmenorrhea given Massage Effleurage before 2,47 and after 1,13. The results of the bivariate analysis of the differences in giving green coconut water and Massage Effleurage to the reduction of mild dysmenorrhea in young women with a p-value of 0.137.  Discussion: In conclusion, there is no significant difference in the administration of green coconut water and effleurage massage in reducing mild dysmenorrhea in female adolescents. It is expected that students who experience dysmenorrhea before using anti-pain drugs should first use non-pharmacological treatments one of which is green coconut water or Massage Effleurage to reduce pain so they can attend lessons as usual and not reduce concentration.

Abstract

Introduction: Prevention of Gestational Diabetes Mellitus is an effort that individuals deliberately make to avoid or control blood sugar levels so as not to interfere with pregnancy and the health of mothers and babies. This study aimed to determine the direct and indirect effects and the magnitude of the influence of information sources, family roles, diet, physical activity, and nutritional status on the prevention of Diabetes Mellitus in pregnant women in Payung Health Center in 2023. Methods: This research was taken from primary data using a questionnaire. The sample used was 60 respondents with a cross-sectional design. The research was conducted in December 2022-January 2023. The cross-sectional analysis method was used. Results: The results showed that there was a relationship between the role of kelaura (p-value 0,030); diet (p-value 0,.003); and nutritional status (p-value 0,053) on the behavior of preventing gestational diabetes mellitus in pregnant women. Discussion: This study concludes that there is a relationship between family roles, diet, and nutritional status on the behavior of preventing gestational diabetes mellitus in pregnant women in the working area of Payung District in 2023. Suggestions for mothers to always maintain their health during pregnancy to avoid complications during pregnancy.

Abstract

Introduction: Adolescence is a period of transition from childhood to adulthood which is marked by increased curiosity, including curiosity related to sexuality. The purpose of this study was to determine the knowledge and attitudes of adolescents about premarital sexual relations at SMAN 1 Sukangara. This study used an experimental approach (quasi-experimental design). Using a questionnaire instrument and related questions, 170 students of class XI IPS participated in this study, which directly collected data from respondents. Methods: This study used an experimental approach (quasi-experimental design). Using a questionnaire instrument and related questions, 170 students of class XI IPS participated in this study which directly collected data from respondents. Results: The results of this research obtained an overview of the lack of knowledge of students regarding premarital sex and there is a relationship between the influence of reproductive health education at SMAN 1 Sukanagara in 2023 with a p-value of 0,000 OR = 154,979 on Adolescent Awareness of Premarital Sexual Relations. The Effect of Reproductive Health Counseling on Adolescents' Views of Premarital Sexual Relations at SMAN 1 Sukanagara in 2023 and Relationship p-value 0,000 OR= 80,322. which means that after the Reproductive Health Counseling (Variable X) the level of knowledge (Variable Y) and Attitude (Variable Z) increased compared to before the counseling was carried out. Discussion: Counseling about premarital sexual relations needs serious attention so that adolescents' insights about premarital sexual relations will increase and be able to create a better generation.

Abstract

Introduction: COVID-19 is an infectious disease caused by a new Coronavirus. Common symptoms are fever, weakness, cough, cramps, and diarrhea. The very high spread of COVID-19 can cause mental health and psychosocial problems for the client, the client's family, the client's neighbors, and even medical personnel. The psychological impact due to the provisions of COVID-19 is more dangerous than the disease. The causes of anxiety or fear are caused by a lack of knowledge and information, anxiety, coping mechanisms, and support systems that exist in every society. This study aims to determine the relationship between family support and patient anxiety levels during the COVID-19 pandemic at Permata Pamulang Hospital.  Methods: The design of this study used a quantitative approach with a cross-sectional approach performed on cancer patients undergoing treatment at the hospital. The population in this study were all inpatients on the 3rd floor of Permata Pamulang Hospital. The sample in this study amounted to 50 respondents. The research instrument used a family support questionnaire and a standard Hamilton rating scale for anxiety (HRS-A) questionnaire. This study used Spearman rank analysis. Results: Based on the results of the study it was shown that almost half (34,0%) of patients who received moderate family support had moderate levels of anxiety, a small proportion (20,0%) of patients who received high family support had moderate anxiety and a small proportion (8,0%) patients who get low family support experience severe anxiety. The p-value is 0,000 or the probability is less than 0,05 (0,000 < 0,05). Discussion: There is a significant relationship between family support and the level of patient anxiety during the COVID-19 pandemic at Permata Pamulang Hospital with a moderate level of closeness and a negative sign indicating that the higher the family support, the lower the level of anxiety.

Abstract

Introduction: Anemia is a nutritional problem that is widely found throughout the world which does not only occur in developing countries but also in developed countries. Young women have a ten times greater risk of suffering from anemia compared to young men. This is because young women experience menstruation every month and are in a period of growth, so they need more iron intake. The impact of the incidence of anemia in adolescents can reduce concentration and academic achievement, as well as affect productivity among adolescents. The general objective of this study was to determine the relationship between diet, lifestyle, and family support for the incidence of anemia in young women at Madrasah Tsanawiah Tanwiriah Cianjur in 2023. Methods: This study used a quantitative method with a cross-sectional study design. The total population is 176 with a sample of 64 young women. Results: The results of the univariate statistical test showed that 36 (56,3%) female students had a poor lifestyle; 50 (78,1%) had a poor diet; and 38 (59.4%) had a supportive family. The results of the bivariate analysis found that the p-values ​​of all p-value variables <α (0,05); diet (0,016); lifestyle (0,011); and family support (0,002) mean that Ho is rejected or there is a significant relationship between pattern eating, lifestyle, and family support on the incidence of anemia in young women. Discussion: This study concludes that diet, lifestyle, and family support have a significant effect on the occurrence of anemia in adolescents, the p-value of diet 0,016 evidences this; lifestyle 0,011; and family support 0,002. Suggestions from the research that has been done, the researcher tries to provide some suggestions to future researchers. With the hope that the suggestions given can be useful in further research.

Abstract

Introduction: Anemia is a factor in maternal mortality. PMB RY Panongan District, Tangerang Regency, the target data for anemic pregnant women in 2020 is 13.6%; in 2021 it is 14.6% and in 2022 it is 15.8%. Prevention of anemia in pregnancy apart from Fe supplements can also be done by consuming foods that contain iron, such as dragon fruit and beets.  Methods: Quasi-experimental design with pretest-posttest design with control group design. The sample is pregnant women who experience anemia in January-February 2023 as many as 30 samples using a purposive sampling technique. The intervention was given 250g once a day for 14 days. Bivariate analysis used paired sample t-test and independent t-test.  Results: The results of a Univariate study of Hb levels of pregnant women before the administration of dragon fruit averaged = 10,247 gr/dl and after the administration of dragon fruit averaged = 10,627 gr/dl. Hb levels of pregnant women before the administration of beets averaged = 10,187 gr/dl and after the administration of beets averaged = 11,133 gr/dl. The results of the bivariate study obtained a p-value = 0,000.  Discussion: There are differences in the effect of giving dragon fruit and beetroot on Hb levels of pregnant women. Pregnant women are expected to be diligent in consuming foods that contain iron, one of which is beetroot and lemon juice, and be obedient in consuming Fe tablets to increase Hb levels in the mother's blood.

Abstract

Introduction: A pregnancy check-up visit is a visit by a pregnant woman to a midwife or doctor as early as possible since she feels she is pregnant to get pregnancy services/care. Nationally in 2010, the K1 coverage was 95,26% and the K4 coverage was 85,56%. The economy, knowledge, and services of health workers are factors that influence prenatal care visits. This study aims to determine the effect of health workers' economy, knowledge, and services on antenatal care visits in the working area of ​​the Cilebut Health Center in 2022. Methods: The research method is a quantitative cross-sectional approach. The population in this study was 150 pregnant women who were in the working area of ​​the Cilebut Health Center. The research sample was determined based on the simple random sampling technique with the calculation of the Slovin formula so that a sample of 60 respondents was obtained. Results: The results showed that there was an influence of economics (p-value 0,035); knowledge (p-value 0,000); and health worker services (p-value 0.000) on antenatal care visits. Discussion: The study concludes that there is an economic influence, knowledge, and services of health workers on antenatal care visits in the working area of ​​the Cilebut Health Center in 2022. Suggestions for pregnant women are expected to increase knowledge and understanding for pregnant women so that they are more disciplined in conducting prenatal check-ups.
