Abstract

Introduction: Hyperemesis gravidarum reaches 10-20%, based on data from TPMB F pregnant women in the first trimester 30 pregnant women experience nausea and vomiting. Nausea and vomiting often occur in the morning, which is called morning sickness. Emesis gravidarum disrupts activity, and decreases appetite and dehydration, if not overcome it will have an impact on hyperemesis gravidarum. Emesis gravidarum can be overcome with non-pharmacological therapy, one of which is ginger.  Methods: The research design used pre-experiment (pre-experimental design). The study population was first-trimester pregnant women who experienced nausea and vomiting at TPMB F during January-March 2023 which is 30 cases. The research sample amounted to 30 respondents. The sampling technique used total sampling. The dependent variable is Emesis Gravidarum. The independent variable is ginger and honey decoction. Data collection using observation sheets. Data processing techniques using Editing, Coding, Tabulating, univariate analysis including respondent characteristics, bivariate analysis statistical test using Wilcoxon Test.  Results: The results of the study showed that based on the Wilcoxon range list the Sig value (2-tailed) p < 0,005; which means that there is a difference in giving ginger and honey decoction to emesis gravidarum in first-trimester pregnant women at TPMB F in 2023.  Discussion: This study concludes that ginger and honey decoction is effective on the frequency of Emesis Gravidarum in first-trimester pregnant women. Suggestions in this study are for educational institutions, research sites, respondents, and further researchers.

Abstract

Introduction: Based on a preliminary study on secondary data at BPM Midwife Lena Jakarta in 2021 112 post-partum mothers gave birth at the BPM. From 112 post-partum mothers; based on secondary data from Lena's BPM in 2021, 15 post-partum mothers did not receive the support of their husbands, such as husbands never helping mothers with homework and husbands sometimes getting angry when the baby cries. Of the 112 post-partum mothers; 19 post-partum mothers felt anxious and worried that their babies would cry a lot and mothers felt that their sleep time was reduced. Of 112 post-partum mothers; 3 post-partum mothers felt uncomfortable with their current physical condition. Methods: This study aims to determine the relationship between the husband's support, the midwife's role, and the mother's knowledge of post-partum mother's baby blues. This type of research is Analytical and Descriptive with a cross-sectional approach. Results: there is a significant relationship between the husband's support and the incidence of baby blues in post-partum mothers with a p-value of 0,029 which is smaller than the alpha value of 0,029 <0,05. there is a significant relationship between the role of the midwife and the incidence of baby blues in post-partum mothers with a p-value of 0,030; the p-value is smaller than the alpha value 0,030 < 0,05. there is a significant relationship between mothers' knowledge of the incidence of baby blues in post-partum mothers with a p-value of 0,023; the p-value is smaller than the alpha value 0,023 < 0,05. Discussion: It is known that from a total of 37 respondents; the number of post-partum mothers who experienced symptoms of baby blues was 24 respondents (64,9%) which means that the variables of husband's support, the midwife's role, and a mother's knowledge played a big role in triggering the occurrence of baby blues in post-partum mothers.

Abstract

Introduction: Perineal rupture is an injury to the birth canal that occurs at the time of the baby's birth either using a tool or not using a tool. Wounds on the perineum due to tears or lacerations are areas that are not easy to keep clean and dry. Wound healing processes that are not handled properly can lead to imperfect wound healing. This can cause bleeding not to stop properly or cause infection which can eventually cause death to the mother.  Methods: Quasy-experimental two groups pre-test-post-test research design. The population in this study were all post-partum women who experienced perineal injuries at the Cempaka Medical Center Maternity Clinic in April 2023 as many as 30 people (15 people treated with egg whites and 15 treated for snakehead fish), using a total sampling technique, namely the sampling method to distinguish certain. The research material uses observation sheets and stationery while the instrument used is a questionnaire sheet.  Results: The data analysis using the Wilcoxon Signed Ranks Test obtained a value of Z = -3,669 value: 0,000 where < 0,05 means H0 is rejected and H1 is accepted. In post-partum women with perineal wounds before being given egg white and snakehead fish, all respondents (100%) had bad perineal wounds. After giving egg whites it was not good (20,0%); moderate (30,0%); good (0%); and giving snakehead fish was not good (3,3%); moderate (13.3%); good (33,3%).  Discussion: Giving egg whites and fish cork can heal perineal wounds. It is hoped that health workers can be used as additional KIE which is of great concern so that post-partum mothers can consume egg whites and fish cork to accelerate perineal wound healing.

Abstract

Introduction: Mother's Milk (ASI) is the best food for babies. Breast milk is known to contain the most appropriate nutrients in quality and quantity for the growth and development of infants. From birth, babies should only be given breast milk until 6 months which is called exclusive breastfeeding. According to WHO data as many as 136,7 million babies are born worldwide and only 32,6% are exclusively breastfed in the first 6 months. While in developing countries only 39% of mothers give exclusive breastfeeding. Based on the results of a preliminary study at TPMB Midwives S and TPMB A data were obtained on breastfeeding mothers in the TPMB Midwife S and TPMB A West Jakarta areas there were 6 babies (60%) who were given exclusive breastfeeding while the other 4 babies (40%) did not get breast milk exclusive due to insufficient milk production, causing babies to be given formula milk. Methods: The design of this study used a quasi-experimental without a comparison or mock experiment with the design used being a post-test only control group design. The sample consisted of 30 post-partum mothers consisting of 15 intervention groups and 15 control groups. The sampling technique used was consecutive sampling. The independent variable was the consumption of long bean leaves and the dependent variable was milk production in postpartum mothers. Data collection uses an observation sheet. Data processing techniques include editing, coding, scoring, tabulating, and statistical tests like the Mann-Whitney test. Results: The results of this study were obtained in the group (given long bean shoots) when the pre-test was carried out the average post-partum mother's milk production was 2,87 with a standard deviation of 0,743 and a minimum value of 2 and a maximum value of 4. Meanwhile, during this post-test, the average milk production was 5,60 with a minimum of 5 and a maximum of 6, and a standard deviation of 0,507. The Mann-Whitney statistical test shows that the value of p = 0,001 <a (0,05) so that Ha is accepted. Discussion: The conclusion is that consuming long bean leaves affects breast milk production in post-partum mothers. It is recommended for health workers to make this long bean leaf research an input to increase breast milk production in post-partum mothers.
