Abstract

Introduction: An Intra-Uterine Device (IUD) is a long-term non-hormonal contraceptive that is inserted in the uterus and is made of a plastic/copper-like material and has various shapes. Participation in IUD KB is the behavior of women in following all procedures for using IUD contraception, such as the initial examination before installation, the installation procedure, and the examination after installation. This study aims to determine the relationship between attitude, socio-culture, and KIE on the participation of mothers in the IUD family planning program in the Jatirahayu Health Center area. Methods: Using descriptive analytics with a cross-sectional approach. The sampling technique used was total sampling with a total of 33 respondents. Results: The results showed that there was a relationship between attitudes towards participation in the IUD family planning program, which obtained a p-value of 0,039; but there was no relationship between socio-culture and participation in the IUD family planning program p-value of 0,425; and KIE towards participation in the IUD family planning program p-value 1,000. Discussion: This study concludes that there is a relationship between attitudes towards participation in the IUD family planning program and no relationship between socio-culture and KIE towards participation in the IUD family planning program for mothers in the working area of the Jatirahayu Health Center in 2023. Suggestions for prospective family planning acceptors are expected to increase knowledge of the benefits and effectiveness of IUD family planning to foster trust and motivation to participate in the IUD family planning program.

Abstract

Introduction: Based on the data from the World Health Organization (WHO) in 2016 pregnant women who suffer from CED as many as 629 mothers (73,2%) of all maternal deaths and have a risk of death 20 times greater than mothers with normal LILA at the Sindangbarang Health Center there are KEK numbers (chronic malnutrition) in 2022 the number of KEK (chronic malnutrition) there are 52 data on pregnant women from January to August. This study aimed to determine the relationship between knowledge, nutritional patterns, and health education with the incidence of chronic energy deficiency in the working area of the Sindangbarang Health Center in 2023.  Methods: This research method is quantitative with a cross-sectional study design total population of 50 pregnant women with a total sampling sample.  Results: The results of the univariate statistical test showed that 36 (72%) had poor knowledge 30 (60%) had poor nutritional patterns, and 29 (58%) had poor health education. The results of the bivariate analysis found that the p-values of all research variables were p-value < α knowledge (0,000) nutritional patterns (0,000) and health education (0,000) meaning that H0 was rejected or there was a significant relationship between knowledge, dietary patterns and health education on the incidence of CED in pregnant women.  Discussion: The study concludes that knowledge, nutritional patterns, and health education are related to the incidence of chronic energy deficiency in pregnant women. Suggestions from this study are that it can be used as a reference for health agencies can increase knowledge for pregnant women, and become a guide for further research.

Abstract

Introduction: The impact that often arises after Caesarean Section delivery includes infection of the operating wound due to the poor wound-healing process. The ERACS method of Caesarean Section delivery has caught the public's attention because it is claimed to reduce postoperative pain and allow the wound recovery process to proceed faster. Methods: This research method uses quantitative research with an analytical observational research type and a prospective cohort design. The population in this study was 630 Caesarean Section post-partum women on day 7 at Dr. Hafiz Hospital in Cianjur. Using the purposive sampling technique, a sample of 86 respondents was obtained. Results: The results of the data analysis using the T-test. From the data normality test using the Kolmogorov-Smirnov test the data obtained a significant value of 0,000; so, it can be said that the data is normally distributed. The researcher then conducted a parametric independent sample test. According to statistical analysis with the T-Test test the sig value or p-value is 0,004; which means the p-value is <0,05. This means that there is a difference between the ERACS and non-ERACS methods of Caesarean Section delivery for wound healing. Discussion: The conclusion is that there is a difference in the wound healing process of Caesarean Section delivery patients with ERACS and non-ERACS methods. Suggestions for Caesarean Section delivery with the ERACS method can be applied to all Caesarean Section patients who have no complications with the ERACS method because the ERACS method can reduce complications in patient wound healing.

Abstract

Introduction: Older people are more susceptible to type 2 Diabetes Mellitus. Duration of suffering diabetes and obesity are risk factors for complications. If the patient is not treated seriously, it will cause an increase in urea creatinine which indicates the presence of kidney disease. Methods: Type of quantitative research with cross-sectional research design. The research sample is 40 respondents taken by purposive sampling. The instruments were interviews and observations using guides and observation sheets to see the blood sugar, urea and creatinine levels. Results: Statistical test using the chi-square test with a 95% degree of confidence when p < 0,05. The results of the study on duration of suffering with urea levels found a p-value of 0,011 (p < 0,05); duration of suffering with creatinine levels p-value 0.003 (p < 0,05); and obesity with creatinine levels p-value 0,001 (p < 0.05) while the relationship between obesity and urea levels used the Fisher's Exact Test with a p-value of 0,001 (p < 0,05). Discussion: There is a relationship between duration of suffering and urea levels, duration of suffering and creatinine levels, obesity, and blood creatinine levels in elderly people with type 2 diabetes mellitus at Grha Permata Ibu Hospital, Depok in 2022. Suggestions for the need for special criteria for results laboratories as well as complaints from patients who need to be hospitalized and who can be treated/consulted only through telemedicine.
