Abstract

Purpose: This study examines the effectiveness of Human Resource Management (HRM) strategies in enhancing organizational performance and employee engagement, addressing gaps in HRM customization for specific organizational needs. Research Design and Methodology: Utilizing a qualitative approach, the research involves semi-structured interviews and document analysis to collect data from a purposive sample of HR professionals, managers, and employees. This exploratory and interpretive study aims to deeply understand the impacts of tailored HRM practices. Findings and Discussion: Key findings reveal the importance of high-performance work practices and strategic HR alignment in boosting organizational performance. The study also highlights the critical roles of organizational culture and leadership styles in enhancing employee engagement and effective HRM strategy implementation. Internal communication quality within organizations significantly affects HRM outcomes. Implications: The study suggests aligning HRM strategies with business goals and enhancing workplace environments to foster employee engagement. These findings contribute to HRM theoretical frameworks and offer practical insights for HR professionals in designing effective, context-specific strategies. Future research should explore these relationships in diverse organizational contexts to optimize HRM practices further.

Key themes are extracted through thematic analysis of scholarly articles, books, and reports, providing a comprehensive view of human resource challenges during M&A. Findings and Discussion: Results emphasize the importance of effective communication, strong leadership, and active employee involvement. Transparent communication is crucial for reducing uncertainty and building trust, while transformational leadership guides employees through transitions, bolstering resilience and commitment. Employee participation in the integration process fosters ownership and aids in merging organizational cultures, enhancing morale and productivity essential for M&A success. Abstract

Purpose: This study aims to investigate and analyze the impact of recruitment and job placement on employee performance at PT. Semen Tonasa, specifically within the Distributor Division, is in Makassar City. The research explores how these human resource management practices influence work outcomes and whether their effective implementation can enhance employee performance. Research Design and Methodology: The study's population consists of 40 employees from the distribution section of PT. Semen Tonasa in Makassar City. A census sampling method was utilized, involving all population members as the sample. Primary data was gathered through direct questionnaires distributed to the respondents. The analysis methods included descriptive statistics, validity and reliability testing, normality testing, multicollinearity testing, hypothesis testing using multiple linear regression analysis, partial and simultaneous tests, and determination coefficient tests. Findings and Discussion: The findings demonstrate that recruitment and job placement positively and significantly affect employee performance at PT. Semen Tonasa's Distributor Division, both individually and collectively. These results indicate that implementing effective recruitment and placement strategies can significantly improve employee performance, aligning with theoretical expectations regarding human resource practices' role in organizational success. Implications: The study's results underscore the critical importance of strategic recruitment and job placement in enhancing employee performance. These findings suggest organizations should refine these HR practices to foster better employee outcomes. Further research is recommended to explore these relationships in different organizational contexts and industries to expand the applicability of these results.

Moreover, the integration of technology, particularly artificial intelligence (AI) and data analytics, has revolutionized talent acquisition practices, offering opportunities for efficiency and candidate engagement. This qualitative research explores labor mobility and wage dynamics within contemporary labor economics. The study aims to provide a comprehensive understanding of the factors influencing labor market outcomes and inform evidence-based policymaking. The research methodology involves a systematic review of literature, employing established guidelines for transparency and rigor. Data collection entails identifying and retrieving scholarly articles, books, and reports from electronic databases, applying inclusion and exclusion criteria to ensure relevance and quality. Thematic analysis is employed to synthesize key findings, identify recurring themes, and develop a conceptual framework elucidating the relationships between labor mobility, wage dynamics, and related factors. The interpretation phase involves synthesizing and interpreting the analyzed data to develop coherent narratives and insights. The findings underscore the multifaceted nature of labor mobility and wage dynamics, highlighting the impact of economic, social, and institutional factors on individuals' access to economic opportunities and wage outcomes. Persistent barriers to mobility, including gender disparities and immigration policies, continue to limit access to economic opportunities for certain demographic groups. Additionally, technological advancements and institutional interventions play crucial roles in shaping wage dynamics and mitigating wage disparities. Interdisciplinary collaboration and evidence-based policymaking are essential for promoting inclusive and sustainable labor markets. Effective job design, characterized by autonomy and skill development opportunities, significantly contributes to job satisfaction and productivity.
