Abstract

This study investigates the integration of sustainability principles and Environmental, Social, and Governance (ESG) accounting into corporate strategies and its implications for corporate performance and stakeholder value. Through a comprehensive literature review, the research aims to elucidate the critical role of sustainability and ESG integration in driving long-term value creation and stakeholder engagement. The research methodology adopts a qualitative approach, analyzing existing literature to explore key themes, concepts, and empirical findings related to sustainability integration. Findings reveal that sustainability integration is imperative for mitigating risks associated with climate change, resource depletion, and social inequality, while ESG accounting enhances transparency, accountability, and value creation within organizations. However, challenges such as internal stakeholder resistance, lack of senior management buy-in, and resource constraints hinder effective integration. The discussion emphasizes the need for a holistic approach to sustainability, strong corporate governance, and proactive leadership to overcome implementation barriers and drive sustainable business outcomes. Overall, this research contributes to theoretical understanding by synthesizing insights from diverse perspectives and offers practical implications for companies aiming to prioritize sustainability in their strategic decision-making processes.

Abstract

The study explores the integration of Islamic principles into Human Resource Management (HRM) practices, aiming to understand its implications for organizational effectiveness and employee well-being. Employing a qualitative research methodology, the study utilizes semi-structured interviews, document analysis, and observations to gather data from HR practitioners, managers, and employees involved in implementing Islamic HRM practices. Thematic analysis is employed to identify key themes, patterns, and challenges related to the integration process. The findings highlight the significance of HR practitioners' awareness of Islamic principles in shaping HRM practices and the challenges posed by cultural barriers and resistance to change. Despite these challenges, integrating Islamic principles into HRM practices offers benefits such as enhanced organizational performance, employee motivation, and well-being. Strategies to address the lack of awareness among HR practitioners and promote diversity and inclusion initiatives are proposed to facilitate the integration process. The study underscores the importance of aligning HRM practices with Islamic values to create ethical, inclusive, and culturally sensitive work environments.

Abstract

The aim of this qualitative literature review is to investigate the integration of physical, mental, and emotional well-being into HR practices. The research design involves a systematic approach to selecting, analyzing, and synthesizing literature on the topic. Comprehensive searches of academic databases, journals, books, and other scholarly sources were conducted to identify key themes, concepts, and theories relevant to the research question. Data collection involved gathering and critically appraising various sources, including empirical studies, theoretical frameworks, and qualitative analyses. Qualitative data analysis techniques such as thematic analysis and content analysis were employed to identify recurring themes, patterns, and trends across the literature. The findings reveal several key insights into the benefits, challenges, and strategies associated with integrating well-being into HR practices. Prioritizing employee well-being offers benefits such as reduced absenteeism, enhanced productivity, and improved job satisfaction. However, challenges such as lack of organizational commitment, cultural stigma, and resistance to change hinder effective implementation. Overall, the study underscores the importance of adopting a holistic approach to well-being management and fostering collaboration both within and outside the organization.

Abstract

Purpose: This critical literature review explores the impact of foreign aid on economic development. It aims to analyze the existing studies in order to determine the relationship between foreign aid and economic development and identify any key patterns or inconsistencies in the findings. Study design/methodology/approach: The review adopts a systematic approach by conducting a comprehensive search of relevant academic articles and reports. The collected literature is then screened based on predetermined inclusion and exclusion criteria to ensure the selection of high-quality and rigorous studies. The findings from the selected studies are synthesized and analyzed to provide a comprehensive overview of the impact of foreign aid on economic development. Findings: The analysis of the reviewed studies reveals a complex and nuanced relationship between foreign aid and economic development. While some studies suggest a positive relationship by emphasizing the role of aid in promoting economic growth and reducing poverty, others highlight potential negative consequences, such as aid dependency and crowding out of domestic investment. Additionally, the effectiveness of aid is found to be heavily influenced by various contextual factors, including recipient country governance, policy frameworks, and aid allocation mechanisms. Overall, the findings indicate a need for a more targeted and context-specific approach to foreign aid to maximize its positive impacts on economic development. Originality/value: This literature review contributes to the existing body of knowledge by synthesizing a wide range of studies and providing a comprehensive understanding of the impact of foreign aid on economic development. By identifying key patterns and inconsistencies in the findings, this review offers valuable insights for policymakers, aid organizations, and researchers working in the field of international development. The examination of contextual factors and the call for a more targeted approach add depth to the understanding of the complex relationship between foreign aid and economic development, thereby advancing the discourse in this area.
