Abstract

The development of technology has had an impact on changes in the play patterns of children and adolescents, where the majority prefer to play gadgets, especially social media, at home rather than playing with peers outside the home. This is also seen in RT 04 of Nusa Indah Village. The use of social media by children and adolescents has a significant impact on various aspects of their lives. One of the positive impacts is the creation of opportunities to broaden horizons and knowledge. Meanwhile, the negative impacts are digital addiction, reduced physical activity time, and minimal social interaction in the real world. In addition, exposure of children and adolescents to inappropriate content can trigger mental health issues and undesirable behaviors. Therefore, it is important to thoroughly understand how interactions with social media can shape behavior patterns and mental health of children and adolescents. This community service conducted in RT 04 is expected to provide education related to the use of social media. By digging deeper into the positive and negative impacts of social media use on early childhood and adolescence in RT 04 Nusa Indah Village, this service is expected to be the basis for designing more targeted and effective policies and intervention programs to support the development of a healthy young generation in this digital era.

Abstract

The implementation of KKN PT Pelabuhan Indonesia II (Persero) Bengkulu Branch aims to describe efforts to accelerate the achievement of port entry levy withdrawal targets with the annual PAS system which includes: problems, solutions, and actions implemented. The series of activities carried out include; situation analysis, problem formulation, problem priority setting, problem cause analysis, formulation of activities, socialization meetings, making printed socialization media, disseminating information through social media. The outputs produced are; group counseling, printed promotional media in the form of flyers and dissemination of information through social media.

Abstract

The aim of this KKN activity is to increase understanding of filtering and preventing the spread of hoax information among the community in Nusa Indah Village, Ratu Agung District, Bengkulu City. The method used in this socialization activity consists of three stages, namely the planning stage, the preparation stage, and the implementation stage. The delivery of socialization material carried out by KKN students is one of the efforts or concrete steps of Dehasen University Bengkulu's participation with Nusa Indah Village, Bengkulu City. Socialization in a face-to-face manner and using media for presentations in the presentation of material by the KKN team with residents of RT.04 and RT.05 Nusa Indah Village, Bengkulu City. The results of KKN activities are education so that the community understands the characteristics of hoax news, is able to filter hoax news spread on social media, and the community is also able to prevent the spread of hoax news. Prevention of hoaxes on social media is becoming increasingly important, so that social harmony in the midst of national plurality can be maintained. The output produced from the final report of this program is in the form of a journal or article that will be uploaded and published in Abdimah KaKaNya Journal with the title Filtering and Preventing the Spread of Hoax Information Among Communities in Nusa Indah Village.

Abstract

Community Service Program (Kuliah Kerja Nyata or KKN) with the theme of Scouts aims to improve the quality of life in the community and support environmental sustainability. Through various social service activities such as life skills coaching, entrepreneurship training, and economic empowerment programs, Scout KKN students have successfully made a significant positive impact on community welfare. In addition, environmental preservation efforts are also a primary focus, involving tree planting, waste management, and education on environmentally friendly practices. With a holistic approach, Scout KKN not only provides short-term benefits but also creates sustainable positive impacts, reflecting the spirit of mutual cooperation, togetherness, and sustainability in building a better community.

Abstract

Community service that aims to provide socialization of volleyball games to children in Pasar Seluma Village, Seluma Regency. The main focus of this service is to make a positive contribution to the physical, social, and skill development of the children through introduction and training in the game of volleyball. This service began with a needs analysis of the local community and identification of potential development through the game of volleyball. Collaboration with local stakeholders, such as community leaders, teachers, and parents, formed the basis of planning that was participatory and responsive to the cultural context and specific needs of the village. The service approach involved a series of activities, including socialization, training, and matches. The service team consisted of experienced volleyball coaches and local facilitators whose role was to provide basic knowledge of the sport. In addition to the technical aspects of the game, empowering children through a learning approach that involves values such as cooperation, sportsmanship, and leadership was also a major focus. Evaluation was conducted through monitoring children's participation, measuring changes in skills, as well as feedback from participants and stakeholders. The results of this evaluation helped assess the positive impacts and constraints that arose during the implementation of the community service program. The results of this study not only provide an in-depth understanding of the effectiveness of the volleyball socialization program at the community level, but also offer recommendations for further development and increased sustainability. The conclusions of this service can serve as a foundation for similar projects in other areas, emphasizing the importance of actively involving the community in efforts to develop and coach children through sports.

Abstract

Gymnastics is not only a form of physical activity, but also includes a social dimension that can have a positive impact on individuals and society. Gymnastics socialization is an approach that embraces social interaction and collective participation in gymnastics activities, with the aim of improving physical and mental well-being, building healthy communities and preserving a culture of exercise. This article details the concept and benefits of gymnastics socialization and identifies factors that influence its successful implementation. With a focus on social integration and gymnastics activities, these efforts bring positive impacts in shaping interpersonal skills, improving mental and physical health, and strengthening social ties within communities. Awareness of the importance of gymnastics socialization is expected to stimulate increased community participation in sports activities that support general well-being.

Abstract

Household financial planning training in Suka Nanti Village, Kedurang Sub-district, South Bengkulu Regency, is part of an effort to improve the financial literacy and welfare of rural communities. This study aims to evaluate the impact and effectiveness of the training program in improving household financial knowledge, skills and behavior. The research methods used included structured surveys, in-depth interviews and participatory observation to collect data before and after the training. The results showed a significant increase in people's knowledge and understanding of financial planning concepts after the training. In addition, the training also succeeded in changing the community's financial behavior, such as budgeting, saving regularly, and managing debt more wisely. The active involvement of the community in the implementation of the training was also a key factor in the success of this program. In conclusion, the household financial planning training in Suka Nanti Village had a positive impact on improving financial literacy and community welfare. The program not only provides individual benefits, but also strengthens social attachment and cohesion at the village level. Continued efforts in addressing emerging challenges are needed to ensure the long-term sustainability and effectiveness of the program.

Abstract

The role of cooperatives in economic development in Bajak II Village, Bengkulu Tengah Regency is the focus of this research. Cooperatives have great potential in strengthening the local economy by providing financial services, facilitating the marketing of local products, and providing training and mentoring to their members. This research aims to analyze the contribution of cooperatives in advancing the economic sector at the village level, by examining various aspects such as access to capital, income generation, and micro and small business development. The research methods used include interviews with cooperative members, secondary data collection, and statistical analysis. The results show that cooperatives have a significant role in improving the economic welfare of the people of Bajak II Village, particularly through increasing access to resources and business opportunities. The findings provide a better understanding of the importance of supporting the development of cooperatives as one of the main instruments in local economic development in rural areas.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the effectiveness of socialization of procedures for improving the Human Resources (HR) of the Nakau Village community, Bengkulu Tengah Regency. Nakau Village is one of the rural areas that still faces challenges in improving the quality of human resources. The research method used was a mixture of quantitative and qualitative approaches. A survey was conducted by distributing questionnaires to the community of Nakau Village to measure the level of participation, understanding, and perceptions of the socialization of procedures for improving human resources. In addition, in-depth interviews were also conducted to gain a deeper understanding of the factors influencing the success of this socialization. The results show that the level of community participation in the socialization of HRD procedures is quite high, but their understanding of the importance of HRD still needs to be improved. Support from the local government and related community institutions is also still a key factor that needs to be strengthened in the implementation of this socialization. The implication of this research is the need to develop a more effective and directed socialization strategy, as well as the active role of various related parties to improve the quality of human resources of the Nakau Village community and its surrounding areas.

Abstract

Times are advancing, demands are increasing, Village officials as the frontline as the lowest implementers of development really need to increase human resources in order to be able to adapt and be able to keep up with the times so that public services at the Village level in the digital era are better and more improved. In this case, there are two challenges to public services in Bajak II Village, namely infrastructure challenges, namely digital infrastructure that can support public services, including the availability of an adequate internet network, a Village information menu that is easy to access. The next challenge is human resources, namely the literacy skills of residents in utilizing social media, digital media to access various information and public services. In the process of increasing human resource capacity carried out by the Temon Village government, although there are many obstacles, many efforts have been made to increase the human resource capacity of the Bajak Village Apparatus. Concrete steps taken by the Bajak Village government are participating in and organizing various trainings and technical guidance in accordance with applicable laws and regulations, organizing the improvement of MSMEs, creating a Village website. In order to increase the capacity of village officials in public services, special attention needs to be paid, because it has become a demand with the rotation of the development of an increasingly advanced era, to be able to improve public services in the digital era, it is very necessary to increase human resources and other support resources, such as tools and internet networks to access all information on social media.
