Abstract

The research began with observations in May 2023, the purpose of this study was to describe how the role playing method improves student learning outcomes on the solar system at MI Mu'awanah Muslimin Muslimat. This study uses a class action research method in four stages. Each stage has four activities, namely as follows: preparing, implementing, observing, and contemplating. With observation sheet instruments, documentation, and a ten-question essay test, the research data consisted of an analysis of quantitative descriptions of the application of the role of playing learning methods. MI Mu'awanah Muslimin Muslimat class VI students are the subject of this study. After the data was collected, qualitative and quantitative data analysis was carried out. The results showed that MI Mu'awanah Muslimin Muslimat students in Samirejo village had utilized the planning, action, observation, and reflection stages of the role-playing learning approach starting from Cycles 1 and 2. The application of the role-playing method to solar science subjects at MI Mu 'awanah Muslimin Muslimat has the potential to improve student learning outcomes, with the percentage of learning outcomes as evidenced by the class average starting at 69% in the first cycle, and increasing to 88% in the second cycle. The role playing learning method can also be used with different materials, as evidenced by the findings of published researchers and the results are quite satisfactory. Implementation in the field of Limnology education.

Abstract

This study aims to determine the effectiveness of the Contextual Teaching and Learning (CTL) learning model and Field Visit Techniques in Biotechnology learning for class IXC students of SMP Negeri 7 Sukabumi City in the 2022/2023, in terms of: (1) student learning motivation, (2) student learning outcomes in biotechnology learning by using Contextual Teaching and Learning (CTL) learning models and Field Visit Techniques. The research population was 25 class IXC students. The instruments used were student activity observation sheets and learning achievement tests. The data analysis technique uses a comparative descriptive analysis of test results between cycles with predetermined work indicators. The research results show that the effectiveness of the Contextual Teaching and Learning (CTL) learning model in science learning for class IXC students at SMP Negeri 7 Kota Sukabumi in the 2022/2023 academic year is effectively applied in learning. This research has obtained information regarding the effectiveness of the Contextual Teaching and Learning (CTL) learning model in biotechnology learning for students in IXC class, SMP Negeri 7 Sukabumi, in the 2022/2023 academic year.

Abstract

The purpose of this overview is to map the studies focused on the nature of science in the scientific Scopus journal. The nature of science (NOS) and its impact on pedagogical learning and science education have become central themes of education and research. The Study methodology used in this study is bibliometrics utilising VOS viewer. Specifically, research results analysis and coward analysis were carried out. The term NOS has ever been analyzed in the Scopus database. A total of 2756 papers were analyzed consisting of 2048 articles, 202 conference articles, 56 books, 263 book chapters, and 187 other papers were analyzed. The results report that studies in the field of education of NOS more increased and have continued uninterruptedly up to the present day, even though interest generated in the scientific community has been irregular. It can be concluded that NOS studies have not had an established and robust line of research over time, this study can be observed that the trends in this aspect are focused on science education.

Abstract

The problem with this study is that the biological learning outcomes of SMA Lab School UPI students in class XI IPA 1 remain low. The objective of this study is to enhance the biology learning outcomes of students by utilizing image-based worksheets. The researcher conducted classroom action research in two cycles in order to accomplish this goal. This study involves collaborative action research in the classroom that makes use of the Kemmis and Taggart methodology. Students in class XI IPA 1 at SMA Lab School UPI served as the research subjects. Tests, surveys, and observations are the approaches used in this study to collect data. An observation sheet serves as the research tool, and it is assessed qualitatively. Additionally, the concept mastery test results, which are analyzed quantitatively, are supplied. The study's findings indicate that, when image-based student worksheets were used, biology learning outcomes in the nervous system of the classroom were improved, with 19% of students reaching the minimum completeness limit score. Similarly, in cycle I, the average result of the concept mastery test was 77, and 61% of students met the minimum completeness limit score. The average concept mastery score increased to 85 in Cycle II, and a greater proportion of students met the 92% minimum completion criteria.

Abstract

The curriculum continues to change but the way teachers teach in teaching science, especially contextual learning does not change. This study aims to see how far the new curriculum (merdeka curriculum) can support teachers in providing contextual learning and what kind of support teachers need to implement an independent curriculum. The research method used is a case study on the learning process in driving schools and K-13 schools. The results of the observations show that there is no difference between the way teachers teach in the driving schools and the curriculum schools. Thus, other support is needed to support teachers in teaching contextual learning such as special training on contextual learning, teacher competency training, and special training to increase teacher motivation.
