Abstract

The transformation of the sharia economy through the adaptation of sharia law to global market dynamics represents a significant phenomenon in contemporary economic development. In the current era of globalization, Islamic economics has emerged as a driving force that influences the structure and direction of the global financial system. The main issue addressed in this study is how sharia principles can remain consistent while responding effectively to rapid global market changes. The objective of this research is to explain the process of sharia economic transformation and examine the extent to which the adaptation of sharia law can strengthen financial inclusion, enhance economic stability, and promote sustainable economic growth. This study employs a literature review method, drawing on books and scholarly sources relevant to Islamic economics, global market behavior, and the governance of sharia law. The findings indicate that the transformation of the sharia economy—supported by the adaptation of its legal framework—has led to increased financial inclusion, broader market expansion, and stronger economic resilience. Moreover, the integration of Islamic finance within global markets has contributed to economic stability and fostered a more ethical and socially responsible business environment. The study concludes that transforming the sharia economy through adaptive legal approaches is a crucial step toward achieving inclusive finance, sustainable stability, and social justice. This process enhances the relevance, competitiveness, and long-term viability of the sharia economic system in an evolving global market landscape.

Abstract

Sharia economic development faces epistemological challenges in responding to global changes and the growing demand for more inclusive and sustainable development models. The misalignment between the foundational pillars of Islamic economics and current planning practices highlights the need for a reinterpretation of development concepts. This study aims to examine the evolution of meaning and identify emerging paradigms in Sharia economic development, while reconstructing the relationship between its core pillars and strategic planning approaches. Employing a conceptual literature review method, the study systematically analyzes scholarly works from diverse primary and secondary sources. The findings reveal a shift from legal-normative interpretations toward value-based paradigms rooted in maqashid al-shariah and sustainability. Newly identified paradigms include spiritually-driven welfare development, structural justice, and the integration of maqashid with the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs). This study contributes to the theoretical enrichment of Islamic economic development and provides a conceptual foundation for more contextual and transformative policy design.

he rapid transformation of e-commerce into a digitally based system has intensified competition among online sellers, requiring innovative marketing strategies to attract consumer interest. One prominent strategy is affiliate marketing, where affiliators promote products through digital platforms and social media. This study aims to analyze the role of affiliate marketing in increasing consumer interest in online shopping and to examine its relevance from a Sharia economics perspective. The research employs a qualitative approach using internet searching and library research methods, collecting data from academic journals, scholarly articles, and relevant online references. The findings indicate that affiliate marketing plays a significant role in enhancing consumer interest and influencing purchasing behavior through persuasive promotion, wider market reach, and increased product visibility. Abstract

Productive waqf represents a strategic Islamic economic instrument rooted in the principles of justice, equity, and social solidarity. However, its contemporary implementation often remains limited to symbolic and consumptive uses. This article explores the potential of productive waqf to contribute to the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) by employing an interdisciplinary approach that bridges Islamic legal thought (fiqh) and development studies. Utilizing the framework of maqashid al-shariah (the objectives of Islamic law), the study identifies conceptual parallels between Islamic social finance and global development priorities. The analysis reveals that productive waqf can serve as an ethical and transformative alternative to both global capitalism and religious extremism by promoting inclusive economic empowerment and equitable asset redistribution. The article concludes by advocating for the reinterpretation of Islamic legal discourse and the institutional reform of waqf governance to align with the goals of sustainable and just development
