Abstract

Building a manageable network to support the implementation of Virtual Local Area Network (VLAN) in independent attendance for students and lecturers, which can avoid individuals entrusting attendance, is part of today's technological developments, so that it is hoped to produce an individual who is independent, intelligent and supported. with a high level of technological mastery. The AKPRIND Yogyakarta Institute of Science & Technology has implemented this technology on the main server, but the VLAN implementation is specifically designed for Presence Mandiri in the west and east buildings on campus 1. Each building is designed to have 2 broadcast domains and use 2 switches to be able to produce communications. data between buildings that have the same broadcast domain. The switch on the Presence Mandiri VLAN network at the AKPRIND Yogyakarta Institute of Science & Technology has 2 VLAN IDs with the configuration used being VLAN Trunking (VTP). The IP addressing provided is DHCP from each switch, which can divide the network on each available port. This VLAN configuration is all done using a network simulation tool, namely Cisco Packet Tracert 6.1.0 in ICMP testing, with the protocol used is Internet Protocol version 4 or IPv4

Abstract

In an increasingly advanced digital era, computer networks play an important role in supporting various activities, including in the community-initiated RT/RW Net environment. This research aims to analyze Quality of Service (QoS) on the RT/RW Net network to improve service efficiency and productivity. The research method used is the experimental method, which involves data collection through the Mikhmon application to monitor network performance. QoS measurements were made based on four main parameters: throughput, delay, jitter, and packet loss.The results show that the RT/RW Net network has excellent throughput with a value of 1471 Kb/s, average delay of 3.623 ms, jitter of 3.63 ms, and packet loss of 0%, all of which fall into the "Very Good" category according to Tiphon standards. Security testing was also conducted by simulating a brute force attack, which revealed several weaknesses in the security system that require improvement.The conclusion of this study is that the RT/RW Net network has a very good quality of service, but needs improvement in the security aspect. Suggestions include increasing bandwidth capacity, implementing stricter security policies, and improving connection stability.

Abstract

In today's growing digital era, the internet has become one of the main bases infulfilling people's needs ranging from work, education, even for entertainment aloneis now very dependent on a fast and stable internet connection. The development ofcurrent network technologies such as Fiber Optic, 5G has provided an increase ininternet capacity and speed for each Wi-Fi provider. The purpose of this study is todetermine the comparison between several Wi-Fi providers commonly used inmeeting communication and connectivity needs. This article aims to conduct acomparison between several Wi-Fi providers, based on 3 main factors namely, speed,coverage, and signal quality. This analysis is used to evaluate the performance ofeach provider in each of these factors. Through field data collection, speed tests, usersurveys. This article provides an insight into the strengths and weaknesses of eachprovider. The results can help users make the right decision when choosing a Wi-Fiprovider that suits their needs. Thus, this article not only provides a betterunderstanding of current Wi-Fi services, but also provides practical guidance forusers to choose a provider that suits their preferences and budget.

Abstract

In the current era of advanced and developing technology, the road crossing system is the most important part of city infrastructure whose aim is to ensure the safety of other road users. In recent years, technological developments have provided opportunities to increase efficiency so that road crossing system safety can be achieved. One of the technologies that can be utilized is Adobe Flash CS6 which is used by researchers to create interactive and attractive user interfaces. This research aims to develop a road crossing system based on Adobe Flash CS6. The research steps used the MDLC (Multimedia Development Life Cycle) method, including analyzing user needs, designing an intuitive user interface, implementing interactive features using Adobe Flash CS6, as well as testing and evaluating system performance. The main goal of this research is to create a more interactive and intuitive road crossing system using Adobe Flash CS6 technology. This information system is expected to increase road use awareness of traffic rules, thereby reducing the risk of accidents. By implementing a road crossing system based on Adobe Flash CS6, several good results can be achieved. Increased user awareness of traffic safety through an interactive user interface. Increased efficiency of the road crossing system through features designed to optimize pedestrian traffic flow. Reducing the risk of accidents at road crossings through the use of more sophisticated and intuitive technology. It is hoped that the results of this research can make a positive contribution to the safety and efficiency of road crossing systems in urban areas. This information system can be updated according to the wishes and needs of the responsible local government.

Abstract

Penelitian ini membahas penggunaan simulasi Routing dinamis dan virtial LAN (VLAN) dalam konteks pengembangan pemahaman jaringan computer, menggunakan perangkat lunak Sisco Paket Trecer. Routing dinamis adalah teknik dimana Router secara otomatis memperbarui tabel Routingnya berdasarkan informasi yang diterima dari Router tetangganya, yang bertujuan untuk memilih jalur terbaik untuk mengirim paket data dalam jaringan computer. Sementara itu, VLAN merupakan metode untuk mempratisi jaringan lokal (LAN) besar menjadi beberapa segmen logis, meskipun fisiknya hanya hanya terdiri dari satu LAN. Metode yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini terdiri dari  langkah-langkah Cisco Paket untuk membangun dan mengkonfigurasi topologi jaringan menggunakan Trecer. Langkah-langkah ini meliputi pemilihan struktur jaringan, konfigurasi Routing dynamis untuk memungkinkan komunikasi otomatis antar Router, serta pengaturan VLAN untuk mengelompokkan perangkat sesuai dengan kebutuhan jaringan. Setelah konfigurasi sesuai,  jaringan yang telah dirancang diuji untuk memastikan bahwa simulasi sesuai dengan tujuan penggunaan yang diinginkan. Hasil dari penelitian ini menunjukkan bahwa penggunaan Cisco Paket Trecer sebagai alat simulasi sangat bermanfaat dalam pemelajaran dan pelatihan jaringan computer.simulasi memungkinkan penggunaan untuk merancang dan mengimplementasikan jaringan yang kompleks dengan mudah, sambal memahami prinsip-prinsip dasar dari alat-alat jaringan Cisco. Penggunaan alat ini juga membantu dalam memecahkan maslah konektivitas jaringan dengan menyediakan informasi tentang status koneksi computer dalam jaringan. Kesimpulan dari penelitian ini menekankan pentingnya pemahaman yang mendalam tentang Routing dinamis dan VLAN                                                                  dalam konteks dalam pengembangan jaringan komputer. Cisco Paket Trecer telah terbukti efektif sebagai alat pemelajaran yang memfasilitasi pengembangan keterampilan teknis dalam konfigurasi dan manajemen jaringan. Oleh karena itu, penelitian ini merekomendasikan penggunaan Sisco Paket Trecer sebagai salah satu pendekatan yang efektif dalam meningkatkan pemahaman dan keterampilan praktis dalam bidang jaringan komputer.

Abstract

In this digital era, websites have become an important tool for promoting business. One of the popular platforms for building websites is WordPress. WordPress is an open-source and easy-to-use Content Management System (CMS), so it is the choice of many people, including for promotional purposes. This research aims to analyze the effectiveness of using the WordPress CMS as a promotional medium in increasing brand awareness and sales. Di era digital ini, website menjadi salah satu alat penting untuk mempromosikan bisnis. Salah satu platform yang populer untuk membangun website adalah WordPress. WordPress adalah Content Management System (CMS) yang open-source dan mudah digunakan, sehingga menjadi pilihan banyak orang, termasuk untuk keperluan promosi. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menganalisis efektivitas penggunaan CMS WordPress sebagai media promosi dalam meningkatkan brand awareness dan penjualan.

Abstract

In this fast-paced digital era, flash drives have become one of the most popular storage methods. At times, flashdrive data can be lost, and losing this data can have significant consequences both professionally and personally. In this study, an example of data recovery from an inaccessible flashdrive after being forcibly removed during the data transfer process is discussed. Static forensic methods and the Disk Drill application succeeded in finding 7626 files from unallocated partitions with a total size of 17.3 GB. The digital evidence that has been recovered is 49 files which are presented in the form of files with various extensions, such as images, audio, documents and archives. Advanced data recovery tool capabilities enable recovery of various types of files, which increases the chances of rescuing lost data.

Abstract

The development and implementation of a Scheduling Information System (SIWAL) is designed to optimize academic scheduling and class management at a university. SIWAL aims to address inefficiencies in the manual scheduling process by providing functionality for course scheduling, lecturer assignment, and classroom allocation management. This system serves three main stakeholders: lecturers, students, and academic administrators. Lecturers can view their teaching schedules, request schedule changes, and access classroom information. Students have easy access to their lecture schedules, including class locations and lecturer details. Academic administrators use SIWAL to generate and manage academic schedules, resolve schedule conflicts, and analyze classroom use and faculty workload. The implementation involves software development using appropriate programming languages and frameworks, database design, system integration, rigorous testing (including black box testing methods), and user training. The successful implementation of SIWAL has increased operational efficiency from 10% to 90%, improved the quality of services for lecturers and students, and supported better decision-making for academic management. Future development could focus on further integration of SIWAL with other university systems and improvements to the user interface to ensure continued use and effectiveness in academic scheduling.

Abstract

This study aims to describe the utilization of the TikTok application as an educational medium in the era of Generation Z. This research employs a descriptive qualitative method. The subjects of this study are Generation Z, with the object being the use of the TikTok application as an educational medium. Data were collected through interviews with several students of Universitas Muhammadiyah Mataram (UMMAT). The study focuses on three aspects: first, the types of TikTok content frequently viewed by Generation Z; second, the benefits of utilizing TikTok as an educational medium for Generation Z. The insights gained from this article provide a new perspective on how TikTok can be leveraged as an educational tool for Generation Z to acquire new learning knowledge and as a platform for disseminating educational content.

Abstract

This article discusses the comparison between two popular multimedia software tools, Adobe Illustrator and Canva, in terms of functionality, ease of use, and utility across various graphic design projects. Adobe Illustrator is renowned as a professional vector design tool with advanced features, while Canva offers a more user-friendly approach with a wide range of templates and ready-to-use design elements. Through this comparative analysis, the article aims to provide insights into the strengths and weaknesses of each software to help users select the tool best suited to their needs. In this digital era, graphic design has become increasingly important for various purposes—personal, business, and professional. Graphic design helps effectively convey information and capture the audience's attention. Two popular multimedia software tools for graphic design are Adobe Illustrator and Canva. Each has its advantages and drawbacks, and choosing the right software depends on the user's needs and skill level.
