Abstract

On The Job Training is a University Tridharma (teaching, research and practice) activity which aims to improve teaching and increase the vision and scope of certain activities in the field, as well as improving the welfare of society and students. OJT must be carried out by Curug Indonesian Aviation Polytechnic Cadets to increase the learning outcomes obtained from their training so far and increase opportunities to explore various learning outcomes. work This is reflected in the work environment and context, as well as the ability to produce the skills and knowledge expected of professionals, especially aeronautical engineers. The tool that can overcome this problem is the Instrument Landing System (ILS). Indonesia has an aircraft navigation system called the Instrument Landing System. ILS is also an aircraft navigation system that uses radio waves as an (invisible) instrument that pilots use to guide their aircraft when approaching and landing at an airport. ILS consists of three sub systems, namely Localizer, Glide Slope, and Marker Beacon. The localizer is one of the devices contained in the Instrument Landing System whose function is to provide information regarding the plane's alignment with the runway. Position is one of the instruments in the instrument position system that provides information about the position of the aircraft on the runway. To support this communication performance, namely by ensuring that the localizer equipment runs smoothly and requires a Remote Control Monitoring System (RCMS) for Monitoring.

Abstract

Abstract Tujuan - Studi ini bertujuan untuk mengeksplorasi evolusi teknologi navigasi udara dari navigasi konvensional hingga sistem satelit dan implikasinya terhadap keselamatan penerbangan. Desain/metodologi/pendekatan - Pendekatan tinjauan literatur digunakan untuk menganalisis perkembangan teknologi navigasi udara, dengan fokus pada transisi dari metode konvensional ke sistem berbasis satelit. Sumber-sumber utama termasuk makalah akademik, laporan pemerintah, dan publikasi industri. Temuan - Evolusi teknologi navigasi udara telah secara signifikan meningkatkan efisiensi dan keselamatan perjalanan udara. Sistem navigasi satelit, seperti Sistem Posisi Global (GPS), memberikan informasi posisi yang akurat, memungkinkan navigasi dan perencanaan rute yang lebih tepat untuk pesawat di seluruh dunia. Keterbatasan/implikasi penelitian - Meskipun navigasi satelit menawarkan banyak manfaat, tantangan seperti gangguan sinyal dan keterbatasan akurasi dalam kondisi tertentu harus diatasi untuk memastikan keandalan sistem ini/Integrasi teknologi navigasi canggih meningkatkan keselamatan penerbangan dengan memberikan informasi posisi yang akurat secara real-time kepada pilot, sehingga mengurangi risiko kesalahan navigasi dan kecelakaan. Keaslian/nilai - Studi ini berkontribusi pada pemahaman tentang bagaimana kemajuan teknologi telah mengubah navigasi udara dan menekankan pentingnya mengatasi tantangan untuk memaksimalkan manfaat keselamatan sistem satelit. Kata kunci: Teknologi navigasi udara; Sistem navigasi satelit; Keselamatan penerbangan. (5 kata) Abstract: Purpose – This study aims to explore the evolution of air navigation technology from conventional navigation to satellite systems and its implications for aviation safety. Design/methodology/approach – A literature review approach is employed to analyze the development of air navigation technology, focusing on the transition from conventional methods to satellite-based systems. Key sources include academic papers, government reports, and industry publications. Findings – The evolution of air navigation technology has significantly improved the efficiency and safety of air travel. Satellite navigation systems, such as the Global Positioning System (GPS), provide accurate positioning information, enabling more precise navigation and route planning for aircraft worldwide. Research limitations/implications – While satellite navigation offers numerous benefits, challenges such as signal interference and accuracy limitations in certain conditions must be addressed to ensure the reliability of these systems/ The integration of advanced navigation technologies enhances aviation safety by providing pilots with real-time, accurate positioning information, thereby reducing the risk of navigation errors and accidents. Originality/value – This study contributes to the understanding of how technological advancements have transformed air navigation and emphasizes the importance of addressing challenges to maximize the safety benefits of satellite systems. Abstract

Automatic Message Switching Center (AMSC) is an equipment that can receive, process and send aviation news according to the general format used for aeronautical purposes. AMSC is a tool for distributing computerized news as regulated in ICAO Annex 10 Volume II for the AFTN (Aeronautical Fixed Telecommunication Network) network. AFTN is the network used by AMSC for flight data communications between one airport and another. Flight data communication is very important because it is useful for sending flight schedules, weather news, NOTAMs, or other news related to flights. Perum LPPNPI Denpasar Branch uses AMSC brand ELSA AROMES – 1003Qi which has 64 channels. AMSC uses a Dual System to avoid down conditions in the system. Messages entering the AMSC will be corrected by the Supervision module, apart from that, this unit can send or receive news from/to the system. This unit is connected via a LAN network to the AMSC system MPU and via RS-232 serial to the signal selector. Abstract

ABSTRACT: Automatic Dependent Surveillance Broadcast (ADS-B) is a surveillance technology using position information from satellites that is broadcast (broadcast) continuously. One of the problems in the development of surveillance technology is how to detect or monitor aircraft with cheap equipment technology, where it is known that surveillance equipment at Indonesian airports tends to be expensive, even the equipment modules for each surveillance tool are sold specifically according to each brand and type. surveillance equipment. The problem also faced at Indonesian airports is the limited surveillance equipment available at each airport, especially ADS-B equipment, where on average branch and unit airports in Indonesia do not yet have ADS-B equipment. Therefore, the author made an analysis, especially of the power received by an ADS-B receiver device that uses RTL-SDR RTL2832U to process signals emitted by aircraft transponders to obtain information in the form of ICAO aircraft address, aircraft callsign, altitude and speed so that it can help users to observe a target or aircraft. Abstract

Politeknik Penerbangan Indonesia Curug merupakan sebuah sekolah kedinasan di lingkungan Kementerian Perhubungan yang mewadahi para taruna/i nya dalam bidang transportasi udara serta memiliki peran penting dalam menciptakan sumber daya manusia penerbangan yang unggul dan bertaraf nasional maupun internasional. Salah satu kegiatan pendidikan yang harus dicapai dalam menjadi taruna/i Politeknik Penerbangan Indonesia Curug adalah On The Job Training atau biasa disebut dengan OJT. Dalam pelaksanaan On The Job Training mencakup Communication, Navigation, Surveillance, and Data Processing yang merupakan komponen penting dalam lalu lintas penerbangan. Dalam komunikasi penerbangan salah satu alat yang digunakan yaitu VHF A/G. Very High Frequency (VHF) adalah perangkat komunikasi radio yang berfungsi sebagai transceiver yang bekerja pada frekuensi antara 30 MHz - 300 MHz. Radio VHF A/G bersifat Line of Sight artinya komunikasi yang terjadi secara langsung tanpa adanya penghalang dan memiliki jarak pancaran yang rendah dikarenakan pengaruh bumi, sehingga sinyal dari pengirim dapat langsung mengarah dan diterima oleh penerima.
