Abstract

Digital image processing is a processing of digital frames using digital computation. Image processing has been used in many sectors such as military, biomedics, and in this paper, the authors will implement it in the civil aviation sector by introducing a new method to monitor an aviation navigation equipment. It can be used on all LED-based Built-in Monitor navigation equipment, despite it is a low-cost system. The image processing of this research is done by doing perspective correction and then continue with BLOB detection in a segmentation stage. The final result will be displayed on a web page. Compared to its predecessor, this method gives better flexibility which does not need to be electrically connected with monitored equipment and not limited to certain brands.

Abstract

Aviation radio communication services between Air Traffic Control and pilots must be maintained in good condition without interruption because flight safety is the main priority. The goal of the research is to reduce unwanted frequency harmonics generated from the transmitter so that the effect of frequency interference on adjacent channels can be reduced. This tool will only miss the expected frequency. This bandpass filter is set up carefully to be able used in the VHF Air Ground Communication frequency range, namely 118 – 137 MHz with a tunable combline model which has high selectivity in the frequency channel used. This research method is the design and analysis of a tool consisting of several cylindrical rod transmission lines (slabline) connected to ground at one end and a variable capacitor attached along with ground at the other end. The simulation results and measurements of insertion loss (S21) and return loss (S11) parameters still meet design standards in all VHF A/G frequency ranges. Equipment performance was tested with a working frequency of 120.0 MHz on VHF AG radio transmitter equipment Brand Icom A-120 with a power of 9 Watts, Brand Rohde & Swarch SU4200 with a power of 5 Watts, and Dittel FSG-2T with an output power of 3 Watts. Test results using the equipment can still be used with VSWR results still less than 2 and a decrease in power output of less than 20% of the nominal power.

Abstract

Abstrak. Pada pelaksanaan penelitian ini penulis dihadapkan dengan permasalahan yang terjadi pada fasilitas monitoring navigasi penerbangan yaitu ADRACS pada system ILS merk Thales, dimana teknisi sering menerima laporan terlebih dahulu dari Air Traffic Control (ATC) yang mendapat informasi dari pilot bahwa Instrument Landing System (ILS) mengalami masalah. Kondisi ini terjadi karena Peralatan Remote Control Monitoring System (RCMS) dari Instrument Landing System (ILS) berada di ruang teknisi. Ketika teknisi tidak berada di ruangan tersebut, terutama saat sedang bekerja di lokasi lain, mereka tidak mendapatkan notifikasi langsung jika kondisi ILS terjadi alarm. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode Research and Development. Tindakan penyelesaian pada permasalahan ini yaitu dengan membuat suatu software yang dapat memberikan informasi secara fleksibel dan real time kepada para teknisi dimanapun berada, dengan harapan teknisi mampu mengetahui lebih dahulu jika peralatan mengalami alarm yang dapat meningkatkan efektifitas perbaikan dan perawatan peralatan navigasi penerbangan.Abstract. In the course of this research, the author encountered issues with the monitoring facility of the flight navigation, specifically the ADRACS in the Thales ILS system. Technicians often receive reports from Air Traffic Control (ATC) first, who in turn receive information from pilots indicating problems with the Instrument Landing System (ILS). This situation arises due to the Remote Control Monitoring System (RCMS) equipment for the ILS being located in the technician's room. When technicians are not present in the room, particularly when they are working elsewhere, they do not receive direct notifications if the ILS system alarms. This study employs the Research and Development method. The solution to this issue involves developing software capable of providing flexible and real-time information to technicians wherever they may be. The aim is for technicians to be informed promptly if equipment alarms occur, thereby enhancing the effectiveness of navigation equipment maintenance and repair

Abstract

Global Navigation Satellite System (GNSS) technology has become a crucial component in modern aviation navigation systems. GNSS enables aircraft to determine their location, altitude, and speed with high precision, even in challenging environments. Currently, several GNSS satellite constellations are in operation, such as GPS, GLONASS, BeiDou, and Galileo. The use of multi-constellation GNSS technology in aviation navigation systems offers several significant advantages, including enhanced accuracy, availability, and resilience to interference. This study discusses the benefits and challenges of integrating multi-constellation GNSS in aviation navigation, as well as its implications for flight safety and operational efficiency. The analysis results indicate that the implementation of multi-constellation GNSS can reduce the risk of navigation errors and improve the overall performance of navigation systems.

Abstract

Di era zaman sekarang ini bidang elektronika kini semakin maju, salah satunya adalah di bidang audio video.Berkembangnya teknologi elektronika tentunya membutuhkan sumber daya manusia yang memiliki kompetensi yang sesuai dengan kebutuhan masyarakat dan industri. Workshop pemasangan audio amplifier guna digunakan untuk musholla Al Ikhwan di Desa Bojong Indah, Kecamatan Parung, Kabupaten Bogor diselenggarakan dengan tujuan untuk meningkatkan pengetahuan dan keterampilan peserta dalam pemasangan audio amplifier yang tepat dan sesuai dengan standar keselamatan, serta meningkatkan kualitas suara dan ibadah bagi masyarakat muslim atau jamaah di musholla Al Ikhwan. Workshop ini diikuti oleh pengurus musholla dan warga sekitar yang memiliki kepentingan terkait penggunaan audio amplifier di musholla. Selama workshop, peserta dibimbing untuk memahami prinsip dasar penggunaan dan pemasangan audio amplifier, memilih jenis dan ukuran audio amplifier yang tepat, serta melakukan perawatan dan pemeliharaan secara berkala untuk memperpanjang usia pakai alat. Peserta juga diajarkan cara memasang audio amplifier secara benar dan sesuai dengan standar keselamatan. Dengan demikian, peserta akan memiliki keterampilan yang dapat diaplikasikan dalam pemasangan dan perawatan audio amplifier di musholla Al Ikhwan. Diharapkan dengan adanya workshop ini, kualitas suara dan pengalaman beribadah jamaah di musholla Al Ikhwan dapat meningkat

Abstract

Kegiatan pengabdian kepada masyarakat (PKM) ini bertujuan untuk membantu mengatasi permasalahan di SMKS Prima Bakti dalam meningkatkan fasilitas praktek melalui pendampingan pembuatan Trainer Kit dan modul praktek di jurusan Elektronika Industri sebagai dasar peningkatan keterampilan dan kompetensi siswa yang sesuai dengan tuntutan teknologi di era Industri 4.0. Metode pelaksanaan PKM ini yaitu Design Research Methodology (DRM) yang terdiri dari klarifikasi PKM, studi deskriptif I, studi preskriptif, studi deskriptif II, berlangsung selama 6 Bulan dimulai dengan perancangan hingga tahap pelaporan. Pada akhir kegiatan, dilakukan uji coba Trainer Kit oleh siswa SMK dan serah terima barang kepada pihak SMK Prima Bakti. Selain itu, para peserta uji juga diberikan kuesioner dan diperoleh umpan balik positif dari para peserta uji coba. Hasil PKM menunjukkan bahwa seluruh peserta merasa puas dengan keberadaan 3 Set Trainer Kit dan 3 Set Modul Praktek Rangkaian Digital. Diharapkan kegiatan ini dapat berkontribusi pada peningkatan kualitas SDM dan pendidikan serta akreditasi SMKS Prima Bakti.

Abstract

Communication is a crucial component in aviation telecommunications services, where failures can lead to fatal incidents that may result in loss of life. According to Regulation No. 48 of 2017, aviation telecommunication service providers must be able to provide VHF A/G services with an availability value of 0.99999 and detect failures within two seconds. At Perum LPPNPI Yogyakarta, the VHF A/G equipment is located in a transmitter building 760 meters away from the Technician Standby Building. This distance makes it difficult for technicians to directly monitor the equipment's condition, leading to failures being identified based on reports from air traffic controllers. Therefore, the author designed an IoT-based RTL-SDR system to directly monitor equipment conditions based on the modulated waves transmitted. This design employs the ADDIE method in its development. The system operates by measuring the transmission power and audio level of the modulated waves. Based on research conducted at frequencies 120.2 MHz, 125 MHz, 126.7 MHz, 127 MHz, 129.5 MHz, 130 MHz, 132.5 MHz, 133.2 MHz, 134 MHz, and 135 MHz, this design can detect equipment failures based on the received modulated waves with highest and lowest deviation while measuring transmission power are 2.24 dB and 0.4 dB.

Abstract

Precision landing guidance is critical for aircraft safety, yet recurring signal anomalies in the ILS Glide Path on runway 24 at the Jakarta Air Traffic Service Center raise concerns about approach and landing reliability. Despite compliance with standard regulations, persistent signal anomalies affecting glide slope accuracy raise concerns about safe aircraft approach. This study investigates the sources of distortion, quantifies their impact on ILS Glide Path performance, and proposes mitigation strategies. Spectrum analysis, environmental assessments, and signal evaluation through oscilloscopes and navigation analyzers were employs to identify and quantify sources of distortion. Results indicate that while composite audio signals comply with standards, navigation analyzer readings reveal persistent deviations in Difference in Depth of Modulation (DDM) due to harmonic distortions at 30 Hz and its multiples up to 450 Hz. These distortions could interfere with DDM values received by calibration aircraft, making conventional technical adjustments, such as power level settings and antenna reconfigurations, insufficient for complete resolution. Instead, alternative mitigation approaches including reducing environmental reflections, optimizing siting criteria, and refining regulatory compliance measures are recommended. These findings provide valuable insights for enhancing ILS Glide Path reliability, refining signal mitigation strategies, and ensuring regulatory compliance for safer aviation navigation systems.

Abstract

Keamanan jaringan merupakan aspek penting dalam sistem informasi, khususnya pada infrastruktur vital seperti Automatic Terminal Information Service (ATIS). Sistem ini menyampaikan informasi navigasi dan komunikasi penerbangan yang bersifat sensitif dan kritikal. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk memodelkan dan mengimplementasikan fitur firewall security port pada switch manageable serta Access Control List (ACL) pada router untuk meningkatkan keamanan jaringan intranet ATIS. Metode penelitian yang digunakan adalah eksperimen dengan simulasi jaringan melalui Cisco Packet Tracer. Pengujian dilakukan dalam dua skenario: sebelum dan sesudah penerapan fitur keamanan. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa firewall security port efektif dalam membatasi akses tidak sah dengan mengatur port switch, sedangkan ACL mampu menyaring lalu lintas berdasarkan aturan tertentu. Kombinasi kedua fitur ini terbukti meningkatkan keamanan jaringan, mengurangi risiko penyusupan, serta menjaga integritas dan kerahasiaan data.

Abstract

Radio Very High Frequency Air to Ground (VHF A/G) adalah sistem komunikasi pada frekuensi 117.975 MHz – 137 MHz yang menghubungkan petugas Pemandu Lalu Lintas Udara dengan pilot. Salah satu perangkat yang digunakan adalah Radio Very High Frequency Air to Ground R&S SU4200 yang terdiri dari unit utama dan cadangan. Pergantian dari unit utama ke cadangan saat ini terjadi jika ada gangguan atau secara manual, menyebabkan ketidakseimbangan beban kerja dan potensi overload. Metode penelitian yang digunakan adalah model ADDIE (Analysis, Design, Development, Implementation, Evaluation) untuk memastikan rancangan dapat dikembangkan dan diuji secara bertahap. ESP32 dikonfigurasikan sebagai timer internal dan untuk membaca sinyal dari pemancar, mengontrol relay untuk switching, serta berkomunikasi dengan broker MQTT untuk memungkinkan pemantauan dan pengendalian sistem dari jarak jauh. Hasil pengujian menunjukkan bahwa sistem changeover otomatis berbasis waktu dapat bekerja dengan baik. Kecepatan switching tetap stabil pada koneksi internet di atas 1 Kbps, sedangkan pada koneksi di bawah 1 Kbps, terjadi penundaan hingga 5 detik. Rancangan  juga dilengkapi dengan mekanisme penundaan switching saat PTT aktif, sehingga pergantian pemancar tidak mengganggu komunikasi yang sedang berlangsung. Selain itu, rancangan berhasil mempublikasikan dan menerima perintah melalui MQTT dengan tingkat keterlambatan yang minimal.
