Abstract

The rapid development of digital technology, particularly social media, has transformed the landscape of communication and public participation in Indonesia. Social media has now become a primary platform for the dissemination of information, political discussion, and expression—especially among the younger generation. However, behind its positive potential as a tool for digital democracy, there are serious challenges such as the spread of hoaxes, hate speech, and opinion polarization due to low levels of digital literacy. This study aims to analyze the role of digital literacy in promoting active citizenship and strengthening participatory democracy on virtual social platforms. Using a qualitative literature study method, this research examines how improving digital literacy can equip society—particularly first-time voters—to identify false information, engage constructively in political discourse, and take an active role in preventing the spread of disinformation. The findings show that adequate digital literacy is key to creating a healthy democratic space, where citizens can interact critically, responsibly, and inclusively, thereby supporting the realization of a welfare state and national resilience.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the role of social media in increasing sales profits among Micro, Small, and Medium Enterprises (MSMEs). The research employs a qualitative method using a literature review and observation approach to collect data from various relevant sources. The findings indicate that the utilization of social media as part of digital marketing has a positive impact on increasing product sales. Social media enables business owners to reach a wider audience, disseminate product information more quickly, enhance customer interaction and trust, and conduct promotional activities at relatively low costs. Platforms such as Instagram, Facebook, TikTok, and various e-commerce marketplaces have proven effective in expanding market reach and increasing sales volume. Furthermore, digital features such as visual content, customer testimonials, and online promotions significantly influence consumers' purchasing intentions. However, several challenges remain, including intense market competition, changes in social media algorithms, limited resources, and insufficient skills in managing digital content. Therefore, optimizing social media utilization and improving digital competencies are essential factors in supporting marketing success and increasing business profitability.

Abstract

This study aimed to evaluate the effects of dietary supplementation with ginger (Zingiber officinale) powder on the growth performance and carcass characteristics of Japanese quail at the Bamiyan province of Afghanistan. A total of 160 seven-day-old Japanese quails were randomly assigned to a completely randomized design consisting of five dietary treatments, with two replicates per treatment and 16 birds per replicate. The experimental diets included a control diet without ginger powder and four diets supplemented with ginger powder at levels of 0.2%, 0.4%, 0.6%, and 0.8%. Feed and water were provided ad libitum throughout the experimental period. The results indicated that dietary supplementation with ginger powder had no significant effect (p > 0.05) on feed intake or final live body weight. However, significant effects (p < 0.05) were observed on body weight gain, feed conversion ratio, dressed carcass weight, breast yield, and thigh yield. These findings suggest that dietary supplementation with ginger powder can improve growth performance and carcass characteristics in Japanese quail.
