AIM Kontemplasi : Jurnal Ilmu-Ilmu Ushuluddin aims to strengthen transdisciplinary perspective on issues related to Islam and Muslim societies. The focus of this paper is an attempt to actualize a better understanding of the Islamic theology, hermeneutic, sociology, philosophy, communication, hadith, and else, both locally and internationally through the publication of articles, research reports, and book reviews. SCOPE Kontemplasi : Jurnal Ilmu-Ilmu Ushuluddin specializes in the study of Islam and Muslim societies and aims to strengthen transdisciplinary studies on Islam and Muslim societies. Abstract

Lately, there was an uproar with issues about moving the lesbian, gay, bisexual and transgender community. They not only ask for their rights but also so that such marriages can be legalized. In this article we will only discuss same-sex relationships or campaigns and how the Qur'an views their behavior. In writing using the Mawdhu'i Tafsir method, namely by taking a verse based on the theme of a particular verse. Then asked by modern commentators such as M. Quraish Shihab, Sheikh Muhammad Ali Al-Shabuni and Wahbah Az-Zuhaili. Most of the verses of the discussion are about the Prophet Lut against his people who practice disputes. Keyword: homosexuals, Prophet Lut, Sodomites, modern commentators. Belakangan heboh dengan isu-isu tentang munculnya komunitas lesbian, gay, biseksual dan transgender. Mereka tidak hanya menuntut hak-hak mereka tetapi juga agar pernikahan sejenis dapat dilegalkan. Dalam artikel hanya akan membahas tentang hubungan sesama jenis atau homoseksual serta bagaimana pandangan al-Qur’an terhadap perilaku mereka. Dalam tulisan menggunakan metode Tafsir Mawdhu’i, yaitu dengan mengambil ayat yang berdasarkan tema ayat tertentu. Kemudian ditafsirkan melalui pendapat dari mufassir modern seperti M. Quraish Shihab, Syekh Muhammad Ali Al-Shabuni dan Wahbah Az-Zuhaili. Ayat-ayat homoseksual memang kebanyakan menceritakan Nabi Luth menghadapi kaumnya yang melakukan praktik homoseksual. Kata Kunci: homoseksual, Nabi Luth, kaum Sodom, mufassir modern.

Abstract

 The study of the work of the Nusantara Ulama in Indonesia shows significant dynamics. The discovery of elements of locality (local wisdom) aspects in each of the works of Nusantara Ulama shows that the aspects of the archipelago affect their intellectual work. The book Tafsīr with the title al-Ibrīz Lima’rifati Tafsīr al-Qur’ān al-‘Azīz is the work of KH. Bisri Mustofa. The tafsīr was written using the Javanese Arabic-Pegon script language in the early 20th century, and his work clearly shows the very prominent elements of the locality (local wisdom) of this region. In interpretation and language, KH. Bisri Mustofa used the Javanese Arabic-Pegon text, a form of literacy that was very commonly used by traditional Muslim communities and Islamic boarding school in particular, especially in the Java region at that time. Meanwhile, KH. Bisri Mustofa also often commented on the problem of the cultural tradition of blossoming or awliyā ziyārah tombs' which also shows the locality of the tafsīr al-Ibrīz. Furthermore, concerning the mysticism of Javanese culture (karāmah), believe in things that have magical powers. Then information about medicinal herbs or herbs that adopt local wisdom in the Javanese community. Keyword: Local Wisdom, KH. Bisri Mustofa, Tafsīr al-Ibrīz, Pegon.     تظهر دراسة أعمال العلماء الإندونيسيين في إندونيسيا ديناميات مهمة. يُظهر اكتشاف عناصر محلية (حكمة محلية) في كل عمل من أعمال نوسانتارا أولاما أن جوانب الأرخبيل تؤثر على عملهم الفكري. كتاب تفسير بعنوان الإبراز ليما معريفتي تفسير القرآن الكريم هو من أعمال بشرى مصطفى. كتب التفسير باستخدام لغة الجابون العربية-بيجون النصي في أوائل القرن العشرين ، ويوضح عمله بوضوح العناصر البارزة للغاية في المنطقة (الحكمة المحلية) في هذه المنطقة. في التفسير واللغة ، استخدم بيسري موستوفا النص الجاوي - بيجون - اللغة العربية ، وهو شكل من أشكال الإلمام بالقراءة والكتابة التي كانت تستخدم بشكل شائع من قبل المجتمعات الإسلامية التقليدية والبيزنترين على وجه الخصوص ، وخاصة في منطقة جافا في ذلك الوقت. وفي الوقت نفسه ، علق بشرى مصطفى أيضًا في كثير من الأحيان على مشكلة التقليد الثقافي المتمثل في ازدهار أو قبر أولياء الزيتية الذي يُظهر أيضًا موقع تفسير الإبراز. علاوة على ذلك ، فيما يتعلق بتصوف الثقافة الجاوية (الكرامة) ، نعتقد في الأشياء التي لديها قوى سحرية. ثم معلومات عن الأعشاب الطبية أو الأعشاب التي تعتمد الحكمة المحلية في المجتمع الجاوي. الكلمات المفتاحية: الحكمة المحلية ، بيسري مصطفى ، تفسير الإبراز ، بيغون     Studi karya para Ulama Nusantara di Indonesia menunjukkan dinamika yang signifikan. Penemuan unsur aspek lokalitas (kearifan lokal) di masing-masing karya Ulama Nusantara menunjukkan bahwa aspek kepulauan Nusantara mempengaruhi karya intelektualnya. Buku Tafsīr dengan judul al-Ibrīz Lima’rifati Tafsīr al-Qur’ān al-‘Azīz adalah karya KH. Bisri Mustofa. Kitab tafsīr tersebut ditulis dengan menggunakan bahasa aksara Arab-Pegon Jawa pada awal abad 20, dan karyanya jelas menunjukkan elemen aspek lokalitasnya (kearifan lokal) yang sangat menonjol dari wilayah ini. Dalam penafsiran dan bahasa, KH. Bisri Mustofa menggunakan naskah Arab-Pegon Jawa, sebuah bentuk keaksaraan yang sangat umum digunakan oleh masyarakat Muslim tradisional dan pesantren pada khususnya, terutama di wilayah Jawa saat itu. Sementara itu, KH. Bisri Mustofa juga sering mengomentari tentang problematika tradisi budaya nyekar atau ziyārah makam awliyā’ yang juga menunjukkan lokalitas tafsīr al-Ibrīz. Selanjutnya mengenai tentang budaya Jawa yang bersifat mistisisme (karāmah), percaya terhadap benda yang memiliki kekuatan gaib. Kemudian keterangan tentang ramuan obat-obatan atau jamu yang mengadopsi dari kearifan lokal pada masyarakat Jawa. Kata Kunci: Local Wisdom, KH. Bisri Mustofa, Tafsīr al-Ibrīz, Pegon.

Abstract

Qur'an will never be completed. Dialectics that occur also have ups and downs in conjunction with the openness, skill, and ability of an interpreter. In Indonesia, the study of Tafseer is also interesting for us to study and follow. Lots of interpreters are popping up, just a matter of Prof. Dr. Quraish Shihab with his book Tafsir al-Misbah, Prof. Dr. Hasbi Ashiddiqi with his work Tafsir an-Nur, and Sheikh Nawawi al-Bantani with his work Tafsir Marah Labid. Tafsir Angah Labid results from the thought of Sheikh Nawawi has its own uniqueness to be studied as an ingredient in the academic insight . The interpretation of the Quran is an effort to understand, to explain the intent, and to figure out the content of the verses. As a result of man’s work which is different from the Quran, the interpretation develops through several periods from classical, medieval to the modern and even contemporary ones. The diversity in the method (manhaj/tariqah), style (nau’), as well as approaches (alwan) is unavoidable in a work of interpretation. Although the commentaries appear in modern period, its interpretation still follows the pattern of classical and medieval period as confirmed by Nawawi al Bantani in the Muqaddimah of the commentary (Iqtida lil ‘bi al Salaf fi Tadwin’ ilm). Therefore, it is acceptable that Tafsir alMunir or Marah Labid is  regarded as the interpretation bridging the traditional and modern periods. Al-Qur'an adalah firman Allah yang mengandung banyak unsur, dimulai dengan hal-hal yang berkaitan dengan ubudiyyah mahdlah atau ghairu mahdlah. Untuk mengeksplorasi apa yang dimaksud dan diinginkan oleh Al-Qur'an, itu adalah alat yang diperlukan untuk membedahnya, yaitu ilmu penafsiran. Dengan ilmu interpretasi, kita diharapkan sebagai peninjau dan pengamat Al-Qur'an dapat memahami ilmu-ilmu yang terkandung di dalamnya, baik sifat khass atau mujmal. Kegiatan pemahaman dan interpretasi Alquran tidak akan pernah selesai. Dialektika yang terjadi juga mengalami pasang surut dalam hubungannya dengan keterbukaan, keterampilan, dan kemampuan seorang juru bahasa. Di Indonesia, penelitian Tafseer juga menarik untuk kita pelajari dan ikuti. Banyak penerjemah bermunculan, hanya soal Prof. Dr. Quraish Shihab dengan bukunya Tafsir al-Misbah, Prof. Dr. Hasbi Ashiddiqi dengan karyanya Tafsir an-Nur, dan Sheikh Nawawi al-Bantani dengan karyanya Tafsir Marah Labid. Tafsir Angah Labid hasil dari pemikiran Sheikh Nawawi memiliki keunikan tersendiri untuk dipelajari sebagai bahan dalam wawasan akademik. Penafsiran Al-Quran adalah upaya untuk memahami, menjelaskan maksud, dan untuk mencari tahu isi ayat-ayat tersebut. Sebagai hasil dari karya manusia yang berbeda dari Quran, interpretasi berkembang melalui beberapa periode dari klasik, abad pertengahan hingga yang modern dan bahkan kontemporer. Keragaman dalam metode (manhaj / tariqah), gaya (nau '), serta pendekatan (alwan) tidak dapat dihindari dalam karya interpretasi. Meskipun komentar muncul dalam periode modern, penafsirannya masih mengikuti pola periode klasik dan abad pertengahan sebagaimana dikonfirmasi oleh Nawawi al Bantani dalam Muqaddimah dari komentar (Iqtida lil ‘bi al Salaf fi Tadwin ilm). Oleh karena itu, dapat diterima bahwa Tafsir alunir atau Marah Labid dianggap sebagai interpretasi yang menjembatani periode tradisional dan modern. Abstract

This paper is a study of the methodology of the translation of the Qur'an translation of Al-Quran dan terrjemahnya bahasa Batak Angkola. The problem to be answered is whether the translating team translates from Al-Qur'an (Arabic) or translates from the Indonesian language published by the Ministry of Religion. In addition, This research also answers how the methodology of translating the Qur'an and the translation of the Angkola Batak Language. The method used in this study is by exploring, reviewing the literatures and also interviewing the translation of the book. As a result, the methodology applied in the Qur'an and the translation of the Angkola Batak Language is the methodology of word-for-word translation, literal translation, semantic translation, and communicative translation. Abstract

This article discusses the verses of the Qur'an which has asbabun nuzul containing educational values. By using a content analysis approach, the researcher seeks to unravel the messages that are present in the tarbawiyah verses, and to contextualize the development of the times as the nowadays implementation. There are at least eight verses of tarbawiyah which has asbabun nuzul. From the eight verses the author classifies them in three topics, namely the spirit of education, educators, students and Islamic education material. Abstract

Starting from radicalism in Indonesia in the name of Islam, this paper tries to describe how the hadith is understood about "killing human until reciting syahadat". Textual understanding of hadith cannot reflect Islam as a peaceful religion and a bearer of mercy. So, there is a need for contextual understanding and reinterpretation of the meaning of the hadith. This effort is expected to be the first step to understanding Islam as a friendly and peaceful religion. The author uses a historical and language approach to study the hadith. The result, the prophet does not order directly to fight non-Muslims but uses peaceful meaning to reflect that Islam as rahmatan lil ‘alamin. Abstract

The development of religious fundamentalism is inseparable from the development of political globalization which focuses on the new world order. Fundamentalism is identified with religious movements that oppose all forms of development of modernism both in part and in all aspects. This research reveals how the term 'fundamentalism' is less precise in explaining various criticisms of Islamic thought expressed in political movements against others (West). As a result, the use of the term "fundamentalism" is a labeling imposed on Islamic groups that do not agree with 'westernization' which is often difficult to recognize as 'modernization'.Keywords: Islamic Fundamentalism, Language Game, Political

Abstract

It is undeniably that religiosity is a dimension increasingly studied by researchers in psychology throughout the world. It is due to that religiosity is interesting phenomena which never ends to be discussed and investigated. One of them is religiosity of santri community. This article aims to investigate religiousity of two urban santri communities; santri of Darul Falah Besongo Semarang and Ma’had al-Jamiah Walisongo Semarang. Through qualitative approach, there are mainly research findings. First, the religiousity of those two communities has similarities and differences which could be seen in every dimensions of religiousity. Second, influencing factors of their religiousity could be identified into two; internal and external. Internal fartor consists of knowledge and understanding degree and inner condition of subject. Meanwhile, external factor includes environmental circumstances, rules of pesantren, and figure of kyai. Keywords: Religiousity, Santri, Pesantren.

Abstract

This article reveals the theories of truth in philosophy and the possibility of its application amid the spread of hoax and false news that is increasingly widespread in Indonesian society. The discussion starts with a socio-political background that triggers the loss of critical public reason that can no longer sort out false facts and news. Furthermore, the discussion focuses on the perspectives of truth and theories of truth that emerged and developed in the philosophical tradition. At the last point, this article ends with the possibility of applying the theories of truth in society, especially in the internet and social media. Abstract

Kidung Pangiling is a Javanese Poetry that written by Kiai Imam Malik in Losari, Mojokerto. He is a founder of hermitage “Mayangkoro Pondok Pesantren Sambung Sari Noto Projo Majapahit Bangkit Nusantara Jaya”. Kiai Imam Malik has written Kidung Pengiling aimed at giving advice and reminders to the community during the 1997 - 2006. The social aspects in Kidung Pangiling by Kiai Imam Malik broadly explain the social phenomena that occur in society. This social phenomenon has become a habit and tradition that deviates from the concept of religion and public norms. The political aspect in Kidung Pangiling by Kiai Imam Malik contains criticism of the New Order government in 1998 and political phenomena related to deviant state officials' behavior such as corruption, collusion and nepotism.
