Abstract

This research investigates the transformative role of Information and Communication Technology (ICT) in educational systems, with a specific focus on its impact on both teachers and students. As ICT becomes more integrated into classrooms, understanding its benefits and challenges is critical for enhancing the teaching and learning experience. The study employed a literature review approach, analyzing existing research on the use of ICT in schools, particularly focusing on its effects on student motivation, participation, achievement, and the attitudes of both students and teachers toward ICT integration. Various studies and case reports from diverse educational settings were examined to assess the overall impact. The findings indicate that ICT adoption in classrooms generally results in positive outcomes. Most studies reported a significant increase in students' motivation to learn, shifting away from traditional teaching methods. The research also highlighted improvements in students’ success rates, participation, computer skills, and overall academic achievement. However, some challenges were identified in ICT integration, particularly due to the advanced technological skills of younger generations, which, if not properly managed, could lead to misuse of technology for non-educational purposes. ICT has a transformative impact on education, enhancing student motivation, participation, and achievement. However, careful planning and oversight are required to ensure that technological advancements are used effectively in the classroom setting.

Abstract

Online gambling has become a serious problem that threatens the younger generation, especially teenagers. "Online gambling has serious psychological impacts, such as stress, depression, and social isolation, and has the potential to trigger criminal acts. Online gambling addiction can damage many aspects of a teen's life, including mental health, social relationships, academic achievement, and financial stability. This research aims to formulate an effective da'wah communication strategy to overcome these problems. This qualitative research is carried out using a case study approach. The results of the study show that a combination of personal, community, and social media approaches is an effective da'wah communication strategy in dealing with online gambling among teenagers. An individual approach through counseling and mentoring can provide emotional and spiritual support to adolescents who are involved in online gambling. The community approach consists of working with religious leaders, community leaders, and educational institutions to create an environment that supports a healthy lifestyle and is free from gambling. Meanwhile, the social media approach can be used to spread positive messages and anti-gambling campaigns more widely. In addition, this research also enriches the understanding of the importance of integration between traditional and modern communication in the context of da'wah. Abstract

The Muslim community from Champa in Cambodia was initially welcomed by the ruling Khmer king. The primary ethnic groups among the Champa refugees were the Chams and Malays, who later formed a distinct Muslim community in Cambodia. The process of Islamization in Cambodia differs from other countries, as it was influenced by the migration of the Champa people following the Vietnamese expansion. Although Cambodia was not a major trading hub, it was a significant rice producer before the collapse of the Champa Kingdom in the 15th century, and had long-standing trade and cultural ties with the Malays. This study aims to analyze the strategies of Islamic da'wah (propagation) among the Cham community in Cambodia and to evaluate the challenges and opportunities in spreading Islam in the region. A qualitative approach was employed, utilizing in-depth interviews, field observations, and document analysis. The findings reveal that the da'wah strategy in the Cham community focuses on cultural and social integration, with preachers adapting their messages to align with local customs and traditions. This approach has been effective in fostering positive relationships and improving religious understanding. However, challenges such as language barriers, limited resources, and resistance to change persist. The study emphasizes the need for innovative and context-sensitive da'wah strategies, as well as adequate training and support for preachers. In conclusion, the Islamic da'wah strategy in Cambodian Cham society requires continuous adaptation to overcome challenges and leverage opportunities.
