Abstract

Home ownership credit (KPR) financing is one of the mainstay products offered by financial institutions to meet the needs of the community for housing. However, the increase in the number of problematic KPR financing can bring significant risks to banks and financial institutions. This study aims to identify and evaluate effective risk mitigation strategies in dealing with problematic KPR financing. The research methods used include literature studies and interviews with practitioners in the banking sector. The results of the study indicate that risk mitigation strategies can be grouped into several categories, such as stricter credit analysis, increased communication with customers, application of technology for risk monitoring, and development of restructuring programs for customers who experience payment constraints. In addition, customer education regarding financial management and the importance of planning before taking a KPR has also proven effective in reducing risk. This study is expected to provide input for financial institutions in formulating better policies and strategies to face the challenges of problematic KPR financing, as well as supporting the sustainability and stability of the banking sector as a whole.

Investment involves allocating a portion of one's wealth withthe expectation of future profits. Among various investment options, gold has gained popularity due to its perceived safety and profitability. One option for investing in gold is through BSI's gold installment plan. This financing product enables customers to acquire gold in the form of bullion by paying in installments, structured under murabaha contracts. To initiate this process, customers make an initial down payment of 20%, with the remaining 80% payable in installments. This studyaims to explore potential investment opportunities available through BSI's gold installment financing at the KCP Probolinggo office. Abstract

The Nigerian manufacturing sector faces structural and operational challenges due to recent  macroeconomic reforms, including petroleum subsidy removal, foreign exchange rate unification, and minimum wage increase, leading to cost-push inflation, reduced consumer purchasing power, and increased competition. This study investigates the impact of strategic procurement practices on the performance of manufacturing firms in Nigeria. Employing a mixed-method research design, the study integrates both quantitative and qualitative approaches to leverage their respective strengths. A sample size of 250 respondents was determined using Taro Yamane's formula, and purposive sampling techniques were employed to select participants from ten manufacturing companies situated in Ilupeju and Ogba Industrial Estates, Lagos State. Data were collected using structured questionnaires and analyzed through descriptive statistics and regression modelling to assess the relationship between strategic procurement practices and manufacturing firm performance. The findings reveal that for every unit increase in strategic procurement practices, the performance of manufacturing firms improves by 0.168 units, underscoring the significant role of strategic procurement in enhancing operational efficiency, cost reduction, product quality, competitiveness, and profitability. The study recommends that manufacturing firms adopt advanced strategic procurement practices, including e-procurement, e-sourcing, e-auctions, advanced analytics, predictive technologies, and blockchain systems to monitor market trends effectively. Furthermore, firms should implement agile procurement strategies and reverse logistics systems to facilitate cost recovery through the return, reuse, and recycling of materials and products.
